Color Club Masquerading

I have to be honest Color Club is a brand that is very hit/miss & love/hate for me. Color Club has produced one of my all time favorite colors Pucci-licious. However, I've been disappointed big time, by a lot of their shades and formulation. This inconsistency makes it hard for me to really feel anything more than "meh" about them overall. I do however, like this shade from the Alter Ego collection.

Masquerading
Masquerading is a smoky teal frost/chrome.

I know frost is not the most welcomed word in nail polishes these days. Honestly, when it comes to your typical non-original colors, I get it. It's not the most flattering of finishes. However, when it comes to unique and original colors I actually really like the frost finish. I also really like it because it's not shade that I'd typically like. I'm really pleasantly surprised by this color. It reminds me of the color of black pearls. :)

It also gets this song in my head. I like the Carpenters version.

    Chanel is my hit or miss brand. They suck me in with something great, then follow up with a streaky disappointing mess that annoys me even more because I paid so much.

    My love/hate is with OPI and China Glaze, in fact all NP companies that have limited editions and/or exclusives. GRRR!!!

    The finish isn't my thing either but the colour is nice.


    As for my love hate relationship.... O.P.I. In New Zealand, only a few companiescan import them in and when they do they play monopoly with them so the prices are at least 4 times more than what it is in the states... seriously an O.P.I polish would be only $8 max in the US? but in NZ, it's frikken $28 minimal. Argh!


    But.. thats not why I have a hate love relationship with O.P.I... I love the colours, the quality of the product, the application but sometimes, the colours aren't want they are meant to be like. An example that I got the duds for.. which is really really disappointing considering how much I paid for them (online) were MPJ and recently Not like the movies ;~;
