a-england Tristam

When I first saw a press release for a-england polishes, I know I would have to end up trying some of these. I have to admit the price of these polishes is outside my normal budget, and with overseas shipping I knew I'd have to hold off on these beauties. Then a-england offered their free shipping promo through the month and June (which is now being extended to July 15th), and I took advantage of that opportunity to try this brand. I was not disappointed! Today, I have for you Tristam.

Tristam

Tristam is a rich indigo blue scattered holographic polish.

Adina, founder of a-england describes Tristam as a "night blue sky with starlight glimmer and glow".

I think it's pretty clear, that this color is absolutely stunning. The pigmentation is stellar, and the this shade of blue is beautiful.

Instead of talking about how great this color is, I want to talk about a-england as a polish brand. There is more to a brand than creating beautiful colors. That's only part of the deal. a-england already succeeds in that, but they succeed at other things too. This is what makes a-england extra special.

Adina, the founder is incredibly sweet and engaging with her customers, fans, and bloggers. She really goes the extra mile and making you feel welcome and appreciated. This is an experience you do not get with more popular brands, but it makes the world of difference.

Also, what I love about a-england is how whimsical and captivating the brand is. I've posted a few times, that some of my favorite nail polish colors are the ones that are connected to a memory or remind me of  something special. a-england's Mythicals collection creates this magical story for you. Who hasn't been captivated by the story of King Arthur? It's one of those timeless legends that most everyone has heard of. Adina, has created a line of polishes that are not only beautiful, but give off the vibe of elegance and whimsy.

Needless today, it's all these elements that will keep me going back to this brand. I have a lot of respect for a small business. My father has owned a small business since 1989, and you have to have passion and drive to succeed. I see that with Adina and a-england. I'll keep going back for more free shipping or not. When you have a wonderful product along with amazing service and a great experience, it's worth every penny!

Happy Monday!

  13. A-England is SO far out of my price range.  I may get some for my birthday or something... I'll just have to remind myself that I can get two or three polishes for the price of one of those. :(

  14. I totally understand. I think though as my collection has grown to outlandish numbers :-/ , I end up realizing I appreciate some more special things (i.e. Deborah Lippmann/ MAC) than just 2 or 3 of the usual stuff I'd get. All the stuff I've ever splurged on except 1 Butter London I've never regretted. I only have a small number of higher end polishes, but they're some of my most cherished polishes. I'm not trying to push my ways on you, but I don't think you'd be disappointed if you splurged on a brand like this.

  18. Exactly, I think that's something as bloggers we tend to leave out, and it's so important  to mentioned. I think your experience with the people behind the brand can really make or break a brand.
