China Glaze Agro

Has this ever happened to you? You see a polish or some polishes that you absolutely love. They are beautiful in the bottle, but when you put them on you're nail you're less than impressed? I think this is a common polish dilemma. It happens to me more than I'd like. This was the case for me with China Glaze Agro.

Agro


Agro is a deep olive green with an intense metallic yellow-green shimmer.

I love the idea of this polish. I love the color, but it just did not work out on my nails. I think the murkiness of it isn't something I like on my skin tone. I really hate this because it's not like it's a bad polish, it just didn't work out for me. The formula on this is great. You could probably get away with one coat. It's a nice polish that I'm sure many others will love. Oh well!

    This happens SO often to me too!  I think it does look good on you, but I know how that can be.  I'm always amazed at how I can see swatches on one blog and think "nope...no way...don't need it!" and then see them on another and think, "OMG< I NEED THAT!".  The Zoya Blogger collection was the most recent one to give me whiplash like that!

    It reminds me of Butter London Wallis.  It looks really pretty - but I know what you mean when you look down and you don't feel like your fingers look "pretty".

    LOL, I think it happens to all of us :) - in this case I had watched swatches and thus avoided it, otherwise I definitely would have bought it...
    It seems like it's a darker version of CH Peace on Earth.

    I have the same issue with Agro and its lighter cousin Peace on Earth. Both ended up in my swap pile.

    I hate it when that happens. I'm sorry that Agro didn't light your fire. Different polishes work for different people. :)

    I had the same reaction to this polish. So many pretty photos of it online, and then when I swatchsicled it... Meh. I'm hoping I'll like it better with topcoat, or maybe a flakie or glitter topper that will make it sing.

    oooh I really really like this one!!  In the bottle and on the nail =)  but, I hear ya, especially when I get a polish that everyone has been ooh and aahing about, and I put it on my nail and go WTF??
