Piggy Polish Ivy Leaf in Santa Claus

I know...Santa Claus in May? I picked polish up in someone's swap box at our blogger meetup back in March. You know what? What is the deal with Piggy Polish? They do not seem to have any presence in the blog-o-sphere whatsoever. Do they even have anyone running their PR? I never owned a Piggy Polish, and I think it's because of this reason. They seem so non-existent. The funny thing is I absolutely adore this polish, and the formula is superb. They really need the exposure, because I think they deserve it based on my first experience with them.

Ivy Leaf in Santa Claus

Ivy Leaf in Santa Claus is a deep pine green creme.

This polish was a dream to apply. I love the rich green color. I'm really impressed!  It put Piggy Polish on my radar. I'm definitely going to be looking at their polishes more rather than bypassing them completely. I'm not really one to approach companies, but I'm interested in trying to get in contact with them to see if I could possibly get them a little more exposure in the blog-o-sphere. Have any bloggers reached out to Piggy Polish before? Am I missing something?

Happy  Thursday!

  2. I always see Piggy Polish at my local Ulta, but I've never bought any. Love this color though and if the formula is as fabulous as you are saying I might have to pick a couple up next time I am in there.

  3. really gorgeous green! i know i havent tried them just bc ive read water based polishes take a long time to dry and don't wear well, but if i had little ones id buy them for them! I like harsh chemicals :D

  4. I've never tried Piggy Polish before even though I see them at Ulta all the time.  A few have looked nice, but I'm always hesitant to spend $$ on a brand I don't know.  (I'd scoop one up if I found it on clearance though!).  This color is fantastic on you, and I'm glad to hear a review on PP.

  5. This is such a gorgeous green.  Mmmm.  I have a thing about names, though.  Isn't Piggy Polish made specifically for toesies?  Semantics, I know.  I miss out on all sorts of great colors because I'm freaky about names. **insert eye-rolling emoticon here**

  6. Huh, I've never seen Piggy Polish irl. I think they should consider a name change. The only time they get mentioned on MUA is someone asking if they are only for the toes (??), lol. The few swatches I've seen online, mostly from theKarenD, seem really nice.

  7. I think you're getting Piggy Polish confused with Piggy Paints. Piggy Paints are the water-based ones. :)

  8. I've only found them at Ulta. They really should branch out...not just online but everywhere!

  9. I think the brand is definitely worth a try!

  10. That's exactly how I felt with this brand. If I had not found this in a swap box I'd probably continue ignoring it. I'm glad I tried it though because it's definitely a brand that I won't pass over anymore!

  11. You know what? I'm so ditzy I didn't even occur to me that's why it's called Piggy Polish. I guess that's why they have pictures of feet on their website. Wow, I'm SLOW. That's really silly to market your polish towards feet, it's perfectly fine for your hands as well. That's clearly a major problem on their part because it's obviously making people think the polish is really only geared towards your toes.

  12. It is totally silly marketing.  I just don't like anything with "piggy" in its name, (not that pigs aren't perfectly lovely creatures.... :/) so they will have to totally rename the line for me to buy from it.  I'm SO LAME!! lol.

  13. Yeah, it just dawned on me what the Piggy in the polish meant. Haha. That's silly that they market themselves for your toes, it's no wonder they are in the background.

  14. Your nails look lovely (as usual). I just checked out their site( https://www.piggypolish.com/ ). It's a nice site but it seems it's meant for little piggy toes. strange, since your mani looks terrific.  Seems a weird marketing strategy to leave out the mani market.  I think that maybe they carry them in some Ultas.

  17. That is a gorgeous color. I completely agree about Piggy Polish... I only ever see them randomly at Ulta but never anything about new collections, etc. etc... I don't own a PP and I do think it's because I have no excitement over their stuff... I need info! LOL

  18. People really thought this brand was just for toes?? How could a polish be ONLY for toes?? That's just silly. Fingernails, toenails...nails are nails!

  19. It is cute how they come with stretchy toe rings around the bottle neck, a la Hard Candy with the rings.

  20. I've only ever seen them on two blogs (counting this one) but never in person. Sad cause toe marketing aside I am a consumer sucker for alliteration and I think Piggy Polish is adorable. This is a gorgeous color too!

  21. omg I just realized the pun in the name of this polish. SO BAD :P

Anyway, I'm going with everyone else and saying that their name is what has alienated me. I've only ever seen it at Ulta and my mind automatically steered me away cause it's meant only for toes. Even though, I know I can use it for my fingernails it still made me ignore them. This green is so pretty! I might try them just for this polish :D
