I have a strange relationship with holos. I love them. I need them. I "ooo" and "ahh" over them, but I hardly ever wear them. I know strange right? I think it's because good holos have become so hard to find in recent years that I want don't want to use them up. That's even funnier. I've never used up an entire bottle of polish. We nails polish addicts are certifiable! Thankfully, I am hoping with the 2013 release of those China Glaze holographic polishes, good holos will be back on the market. In the meantime, I'll be using my holos sparingly including this awesome Jade red holo.
Jade Vermelho Surreal
Vermelho Surreal is a deep red linear holo.
This is an awesome red holo. I've come across some other red holos, namely SH Golden Tourmaline and OPI DS Ruby, and this Jade red holo trumps this both as far as color. My experience with red holos is they tend to have some pink or lighter tones to them. This is definitely different. I've never seen such a rich red holographic. It's gorgeous!
I got this polish on Ninja Polish. It's currently out of stock, but you can sign up to be emailed when it is back in stock.
Happy Wednesday!
So pretty! Have you ever tried Studio M "Slammin' Red"? It's a scattered holo in a cherry red base, kind of like Elf's "Metal Madness" :D
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous!!! I really have to get my hands on some Jade holos.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the links both go to the Sally Hansen post.
I love holo's & red, so this is right up my alley!
ReplyDeletehm, I'd say it's a tough call between this and Golden Tourmaline. Both are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour relationship with holos sounds identical to mine. I save them and save them, but never wear them, in fear that I will use them up and never find them again! Craziness. This is, of course, a magnificent red holo. Surreal is just the perfect name for this shade.
ReplyDeleteThere aren't many great red holos on the market, it seems. And this one is amazing! I don't own anything from this brand. That might have to change. ;) Great swatches, Steph!
