Brown is definitely one of the least represented colors in my nail polish stash. I've never been much of a brown fan, but for some reason I was really craving a great brown . When Zoya was having their recent promo I picked up this brown, and I'm happy that I did.
Angelina
Angelina is a blackened rich chocolate brown creme.
I will admit that in some lighting this will look black, but it has a softer touch than a true black. Outdoors or in brighter lighting you can really see the chocolate tones. I really love this polish. I find fall to have some of the most predictable and repeated colors of any season as far as nail polish. I have tons of muted and deep purples, reds, and blues. Brown...not so much. I think this is a nice variation from those typical colors, and a nice transition from a standard black creme. This is also really glossy. This is not a flat or blah brown. The shine and the richness of the color give it depth. It's a very sophisticated color. I approve!
Happy Friday!
I am not the biggest fan of brown polish, either but I am also wearing brown this year, too. Weird. Very weird. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis polish is really rich and gorgeous and it look great on you. I think that we have similar skin tones, maybe it would look well on me, too. Some browns can give me lobster claws, but this looks deep enough to not do that. :)
I bought this too! I think I'm going to do a post soon of some underrated Zoya colors, and this will be in the bunch!
ReplyDeleteThis looks gorgeous! I am not into browns but I would totally rock this color!
ReplyDeleteI feel like browns are tough: some look great, some are terrible! I really like this one!
ReplyDeleteHey Steph!
ReplyDeleteBrowns are also one of the least represented colours in my collection, too! Usually I go more for bronzes or browns with gold shimmer. But, WOW, Angelina looks like chocolate on your nails. I want to nibble them...hehe! ;) Don't worry, your nails are safe from me. But...I will warn you that I AM drooling over your photos. ;)
That sounds like a really interesting post. Good idea! I'll have to remember to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI like this color :) Very vampy.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a rich, dark chocolatey brown creme right now, too! I don't know if it's the power of the seasons changing, or if I just happened upon a brown I actually like, but I'm with ya-- SO glad I stepped outside my norm. Your nails look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty color. It would look really cute with some type of fall type stamping design.
