Marina
Color: This color takes on the more muted and softer fall-type color trend. I always tend to go for more of the richer and vampy shades for fall, but the touch of steely blue in this is great. The color is soft, shimmery, yet subdued---a likable combination in my opinion.
Formula: The formula on this was easy to apply. The issue with the formula really falls with this metallic shimmer. You can definitely see some brushstrokes in this, and being "Imperfectly Painted", you can see my flaws in application near the cuticle. I've been caught! Most polishes level out, so you don't see my mistakes! This one, they will show.
Price: $8.00 on Zoya's website.
Overall: I love this color, it's not a typical color I'd wear, but that's why I'm drawn to it. The brushstroke thing is a minimal issue to me, it does detract from it being a perfect polish, but in real life the strokes are barely noticeable. All around nice color for fall!
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Thursday!
I was like that too, not liking blue or green at all at first. I can't say they are my favourite colours now, but I definitely do not mind them.
ReplyDeleteMarina is pretty too! It's so interesting how tastes change. A year ago, I would've NEVER worn yellow on my nails. Now, I have a few that I really like.
ReplyDeleteI like this shade, and didn't like it at first either! Just wish I could have easier/cheaper access to Zoya :(
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. Glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've reached out.

ReplyDeleteI have this and haven't worn it yet. I love this shade. You wear it well.
