So on Thursdays I'll be showing you nail polishes that are one year or older. I'm going to try to make sure the polishes I show you are still available for purchase somewhere and in their normal price range. I may throw the occasional HTF/VHTF gem for fun, but 99% will be ones you can easily find and purchase now.
Let's start off with a China Glaze.
Kinetic Candy
Kinetic Candy is a soft dusty pale light blue creme.
Collection: China Glaze Electropop Spring 2012
Color: I love this color because it's not your standard pale blue. Kinetic Candy has hint of gray added to this blue that gives it a nice muted feel.
Formula: The formula is on the thick side. Pastels tend to be like this, and it's my least favorite thing about them. I used 3 coats above.
Price: You can find this in the $4.25-$6.00 range on either Cherry Culture or Amazon.
Overall: Beautiful soft blue with a touch of grey. This is a great color spring regardless that his came out in 2012! Formula leaves a little left to be desired, but was still manageable.
My Rating 4.0 out 5 of Paint Splatters
What a great blue and nice idea for a weekly post too.
ReplyDeleteI remember this!!! It's such a pretty blue. I was never able to get my hands on it though. Great idea. Looking forward to seeing these.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love baby blues!
ReplyDeleteI really like this color! This theme is such a good idea. Older polishes would probably be on sale too! :)
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous blue polish!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty polish, I really like the color!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous baby blue. That is so beautiful. I don't know why I didn't pick this one up when it was released.
ReplyDeleteI love this polish. Seriously one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Me too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'm so glad you're looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it!
ReplyDeleteI do this all the time. There are always colors I don't really like when a collection comes out, but a few months or even years down the line I fall in love with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blue! I really need to pick up a few from that collection. At that point in my polishing days, I was all about crazy polishes and didn't give cremes a second look. Since then, I've really come to appreciate nice cremes.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite china glaze nail polishes. I love how it so easy to work with and the color is an original shade of blue/gray. It looks so nice on you too!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of this theme for blog posts! When every blogger is doing posts on the same collections, you tend to see a lot of the same stuff over and over. Which I don't mind, because it's nice to see more than one persons pictures/opinions, but this tbt idea is different and fun! Good job :)
