Model City Cosmic Lovers

Happy Leap Day!

You don't get to say that often. Does anyone have a leap day birthday? I'm pretty sure my late grandmother had a leap day birthday. She was born in 1920, but she always celebrated her birthday on March 1st. I don't really think much about leap day, but I'm pretty sure it should be considered some type of holiday. I mean you only get it every 4 years, and that's pretty special?

Anyways, I have another Model City Polish to share with you today. This brand is "new to me" as of a few months ago. I've known about the brand, but I just recently purchased some polishes. It's definitely become a brand that is on my love list since trying it out.

Cosmic Lovers
Cosmic Lovers is a rich blue base with holo pigment and gold holo glitters.

Collection: Model City Polish Fall 2015

Color: I love a rich blue. Blues like this are among my favorite types of colors in nail polish. This is a stunning jewel-toned blue and I love the vibrancy of the color. I also love the holo pigment and that gold holo glitter. I've said it thousands of times and I'll say it again. I love cool-toned colors paired with gold. It is such a luxurious color combination and this is gorgeous.

Formula: This has an excellent and easy to use formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This is $11 on Model City's etsy site.

Overall: Of course, I love Cosmic Lovers. It's one of my favorite nail polish colors and it has gold holo glitter. This a stunning nail polish color paired with an excellent formula. I love thoughtfully made polishes. You can tell there was some love put into this polish! This is a must have polish in my opinion.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/21/16-2/28/16

I had lots of new wax to try this week. I will say this wasn't a great wax week. I think I had more duds this week than winners, but it was fun nonetheless. I'm adding a review category of "Scent Throw" to my write ups. Scent throw describes how strong the scent "throws" or spreads throughout the room. I'm basing this on a scale of 0-5. 0, being it has no throw and 5 being it has a very strong throw. I'm also continuing like last week to add my list of "Re-melts of the Week" at the end linked to my previous reviews.
ScentSationals Brazilian Waterfall
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This smells to me like Bath & Body Works Juniper Breeze. This is one of my favorite B&BW classic scents and adore the scent of this wax melt because of that similarity. It's a very fresh and crips blend of floral, green, and water. I am so very sad that this doesn't have strong throw though. I love this, but I could only get a few whiffs of it in the air when melting. This needed to be 50% stronger! This is scent I'd stock up on otherwise.
Scent Throw: 1.5/5
Where To Buy: ScentSationals site

ScentSationals Lavender Glow
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This smells like a floral scented Lysol disinfectant spray or some other cleaning product. I don't get any lavender notes from this, it's more of just a nondescript floral scent mixed with a clean laundry scent.  This is one is very strong. Strangely enough, I really like this scent. I think it's like walking into a freshly cleaned house. I know cleaning product scents are not for everyone though, and if you're sensitive to strong scents this is definitely not for you. The strange ones like me who like the smell of cleaning products would like this one though!
Scent Throw: 5/5
Where To Buy: ScentSationals site

Ten Digit Creations Pink Lilac & Willow
Scent Description: lilac blossoms, blue willow, water lilies, and fresh greens
My Thoughts: Nope. This is just too floral for me, and not the kind of floral I really like best. I realize I'm more of a white floral (jasmine, orange blossom, honeysuckle, etc) person which are fresher and cleaner to me than other florals. The type of florals in these are just too frilly, powdery, very strong, and sweet. I prefer florals like this if they're blended with water notes to diffuse some of that floral. This is straight up frilly floral.
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations

Better Homes & Gardens Exotic Coconut Quince
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is an oddball scent. I don't know what a quince is, but it's apparently a blend of an apple and pear as far as scent goes? I also usually hate coconut scents, but this one is a bit different. This smells exactly like Palmers Cocoa Butter to me. It has that cocoa butter lotion scent paired with just the slightest hint of some sort of a fruity tang. I was drawn to this scent initially, but after melting it it's just OK to me. It's not my favorite, and I don't dislike it either.  It's a nice scent, it's just not usual fragrance I'd typically go for.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart

ScentSationals Rainy Day
Scent Description: Pure water lily and the warmth of white musk
My Thoughts: This smells similar to me to Fairy Hill's Ocean Blossom which is one of my favorite scents. This has that nice blend of water, air, and floral like FH Ocean Blossom. I would say the only difference is FH Ocean Blossom leans more to the fresh airy side whereas Rainy Day leans a bit more to the floral side. I love Rainy Day, but I do prefer FH OB a little bit more. That being said, it would really be hard to differentiate between the two unless you smell both of them directly. Also, Rainy Day is more readily available because you can get it at Walmart.
Scent Throw: 4.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart

Pure Ice Precious Jewel

I have another polish from the Pure Ice Fairytale Forest collection to share with you today. This was a winter collection that was found at Walmart in early winter. I'm not sure if you can still find these, but I hope there maybe a few bottles hanging around somewhere because this is a great color.

Precious Jewel
Precious Jewel is soft aqua/aquamarine with an intense golden shimmer.

Collection: Pure Ice Fairytale Forest Winter 2015

Color: I love this beautiful shade of blue-green. What makes this polish though is that beautiful golden shimmer. This is that magical kind of shimmer that makes it look sun-kissed. You know I love cool-toned colors with gold shimmer!

Formula: The formula on this was OK. It was a bit streaky and uneven. I needed 3 coats. I can't really fault it too much because the price is so low.

Price: This was $1.99 at Walmart.

Overall: This is a great find for a drugstore priced polish. I think the color is beautiful and I adore the shimmer. The formula isn't the best, but it's not terrible either. I can't complain much $2.

My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Cupcake Polish Believe

I've mentioned many times how hard it is for me to keep up with indies. I know I'm missing out on many great brands and collections simply because I just don't have time to follow what's going on. Indie purchases usually are very spur of the moment for me. I come across an amazing IG pic of an indie polish and it is an instant love. That's how I was when I saw Cupcake Polish's Unicorn Collection. I knew I was going to need some of those polishes. This is one I picked up.

Believe
Believe is a lavender jelly with lavender and silver holo micro glitters.

Collection: Cupcake Polish Unicorn Collection Winter 2016

Color: These are the type of glitters I love and do not see often. I love one tone opaque glitters. This is an absolute stunner. I love lavender shades and that holo glitter is to die for. This glitter is even more glittery in person than it is in photos. It's usually the other way around with other indies I've experienced. Cupcake Polish never has failed me with sparkle that's for sure!

Formula: This is an excellent opaque and easy to use formula. I used coats above.

Price: This is $13 on the Cupcake Polish site.

Overall: This polishes are well worth the hype and the admiration that's for sure. This is probably one of the most sparkly polishes I own. I love this beautiful shade of purple, and that holo micro glitter is heaven. This is a stunner!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 *Golden* Paint Splatters

OPI That's Hula-rious

The weirder the color the better? I'm often not drawn to weirder colors, but when I decide to pick one out they instantly become favorites. That's how it was with this OPI color. I knew I wanted it instantly, but it took me awhile to get around to getting it. I'm glad I have it now.

That's Hula-rious
That's Hula-rious is a pale mint green creme.

Collection: OPI Hawaii Spring/Summer 2015

Color: I know this color may not be weird to some, but it is for me. I'm not much of a green polish person, and much less a super pale green polish fan. I love mint green polishes, but most of the mint polishes I have lean more toward blue than green. This one is definitely green leaner. It's an unusual polish choice for me, but I absolutely love it. It's such a pretty and airy shade of green.

Formula: Excellent formula for a pastel color. I only needed 2 coats and found it to be smooth and easy to apply.

Price: You can purchase this on Amazon or eBay in the $6-$8 range.

Overall: I love this green creme. I think it's a very fun color while still being chic. I love colors that catch me by surprise.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/14/16-2/21/16

I was able to find a lot of new spring/summer waxes this week, so I have new things to try! This was an interesting week in wax though, with new stuff there is always room for error and surprises.

Every week I melt new waxes to try, but I also often melt waxes I love that I have already reviewed. In an effort to make things easier on here and so many of my favorite waxes don't get forgotten, I'm going to list under my main review my "Re-melts of the Week". I'm going to list the waxes I melted this week that I've already reviewed along with a link to my original review.

Let's get started with this week's newbies!
ScentSationals Tropical Fuse
Scent Description: A tropical fruit melody (yes it says melody, not medley)
My Thoughts: There are a lot of tropical fruit mixes out there in wax. This one is different than others I've tried. It's hard to describe, but it's a blend of perhaps passion fruit, kiwi, a bit of floral, and some green notes. This is more of a fresh, clean, floral/fruity scent than a straight up fruity scent. It kind of smells like fancy body wash from Korres. It's a beautiful scent that I really love, but I didn't find it had a strong throw nor did the scent last very long. This could of been a star, but it fell flat when it comes to strength.
Where To Buy: Walmart

Better Homes and Gardens Fresh Veranda Breeze (Lemon+Jasmine)
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This one of the duo packs where there is the lemon scent on one side of the package and the jasmine scent on the other side and you blend them together. The lemon side on here is a very strong tart lemon and the jasmine is a very soft floral scent. I liked the combo of these as they both were very natural and fresh smelling. I do think the lemon is overpowering the jasmine here, and I wish it were more of a balance. This had a strong throw that lasted several hours.
Where To Buy: Walmart

Ten Digit Creations Innocent
Scent Description: zesty citrus notes of orange and lime blended with cognac
My Thoughts: This is supposed to be dupe to Lush's Celebrate. I haven't smelled that so I can't compare, but I do adore this scent. This has an amazing citrusy fresh note paired with a clean soapy note. I find this scent to be very feminine and soft also. It's hard to describe, but it's a definite fancy bath & body product type scent. This had a strong throw that lasted several hours.
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations

ScentSationals Love Letters
Scent Description: Cedarwood, vanilla, and almond
My Thoughts: This has all the notes of the type of scent I hate, woodsy, sweet, and foodie. I was drawn to this scent though because it smells like new book smell. The whole "letter" part of this scent name is accurate. It smells like paper. This is like Barnes & Noble in a bottle. That being said, I liked this for a few hours, but those woodsy and sweet smells started to tire on me quickly.  Many people love woodsy scents with vanilla in them, so I think this would a popular one. I can only do these scents in small doses. It had a great throw.
Where To Buy: Walmart

ScentSationals Papagayo Beach
Scent Description: It's time to get away
My Thoughts: What kind of non-scent description is that? Worthless! This is a strange one. It smells nothing like you'd expect it to based on the packaging and the name. There is nothing beachy about this in the least. This smells like a cranberry martini. It's a tart cranberry smell paired with wine/alcohol type scent. This is holiday scent to me. I don't hate it or dislike it, it's just the type of scent I want this time of year, and it's package full of lies. I wanted a beachy/fresh scent and I got Christmas cheer.

Third Week Throwbacks: Zoya Kerry

I have such trouble with this Zoya polish's name. I continue to call it Belle even though it's named Kerry. This polish should be called Belle, dangit! You will see why in just a second!

Kerry

Kerry is a yellow gold foil metallic.

Collection: Zoya Irresistible Collection Summer 2013

Color: This should be called Belle, right? This is exactly the color Belle's dress in Beauty and the Beast. That's all I can think about when I see this color. Yellow golds are slippery slope for me against my skin tone, but I like this one. The finish on this is beautiful. I've never seen a finish quite like this on a gold before.

Formula: This had an excellent formula. I used 3 coats above and this applied easily.

Price: This is $10 on the Zoya website.

Overall: Belle Kerry is a stunning and unique polish. I love this beautiful yellow gold and the amazing foil finish. I miss foil polishes! I think this is definite must have if you're a nail polish fan. It's definitely one of those one of kind polishes!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Third Week Throwbacks: Milani Mint Candy

Milani used to be an excellent brand as far as drugstore nail polish went. They usually had some great seasonal releases that had some special polishes. That all seemed to fade away in the past 2-3 years. I always question what happened, but someone told me recently what happened and now it all makes sense.

Gel nail polish happened. Once drugstore brands started releasing gel collections we stopped seeing new nail polish collections in the drugstore. No wonder I was clueless, I never buy gel polish. I guess gel nail polish sells more than unique nail polish. Oh well. I have an older Milani to show you today from one of those cooler fun collections of yesteryear.

Mint Candy
Mint Candy is medium dusty teal with a teal shimmer.

Collection: Milani Color Play January 2012

Color: I wouldn't really say this is much of a mint color it looks darker and more teal, but I like it anyways. I like the dusty tone of this shade and I think it makes it a great green that fits in winter or spring. The shimmer in this beautiful. I love matching color shimmers to the base.

Formula: Formula on this was alright. The formula is a bit thin for my tastes, but it still applied opaquely in 2 coats. It just wasn't as easy to control as I like.

Price: You can find this on Amazon in the $3-$4 range.

Overall: I like Mint Candy. I think it's a unique take on mint and it's definitely a different an all around beautiful color. I like the shimmer in it, and it really is type of color I don't see often these days.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Third Week Throwbacks: China Glaze Cloud Nine

It's throwbacks week! I'm starting to think I need to do either another week of these or add Throwback Thursday polish every week. I have so many older polishes to go through. This polish came out with China Glaze's Specialty Glitter collection almost 7 years ago! This was a polish before its time, and the formula most definitely suggests that.

Cloud Nine
Cloud Nine is a white crelly base with golden iridescent glitter.

Collection: China Glaze Specialty Glitters 2009

Color: This is a beautiful polish. I think it has the perfect name. That perfect white paired with that beautiful iridescent glitter is stunning. I don't think I've seen a polish like it before then and even now. You know what it reminds me of? That Beanie Baby dragon called Magic. This color is magical.
Formula: Well that is where the magic ends. This has the absolute worst formula in my history of nail polish. I can't really blame it though. This was a crelly before there were crellies. The problem with this polish isn't the glitter in the base, it's the base itself. The base is has the consistency of watered down glue with clumps of white pigment floating about. It's gloopy, patchy, thick, sheer, and everything else that could be wrong with a formula. You can tell by the photo it was a struggle. I used 4 coats to get that coverage and I still had patches, so I just dabbed the polish over them. It is an absolute mess. I would love to say the age of the polish is what caused this to happen, but no I remember being just as bad 7 years ago.

Price: You can find this in the $4-$5 on eBay.

Overall: As terrible as this polish's formula is I cannot part with it. It is just so pretty. Will I ever wear it? No. It doesn't dry fully and it's just such a PITA. This is staying around for it's looks and nostalgia. I am curious though if there is an indie out there like this or if one can be created I'm sure with the materials these days there would be a much better result?

My Rating: 1 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/7/16-2/14/16

I had a fairly good wax week this week. I didn't get around to melting any indie/vendor wax, so it's all retail wax you can find in stores. I had quite a few pleasant surprises!
Better Homes & Gardens Serene Spa Resort
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is a really nice blend of a cologne, sea salt, water, and clean scent. The cologne note in it is well balanced between the other notes and isn't overpowering. I really like this blend. It's refreshing, clean, and crisp. It's one of those scents I see as being universally flattering. I think it would appeal to many tastes. This has an excellent throw that lasted over 24 hours for me.
Where To Buy: Walmart

Mainstays Tahitian Sunset
Scent Description: Crushed orange peel, fruity paradise mango and sugared papaya gleam with the warm essence of ambered mango wood, salted sands, smooth cedar, earthy patchouli and Twilight musk
My Thoughts: This is wonderfully juicy scent balanced out with some rich woodsy notes. I really hate woodsy scents, but the blend of the fruit notes with the woodsy ones really creates a lovely combination. It's like a sophisticated tropical scent. There isn't any coconut to this either which is a major plus! This had a nice throw for several hours.
Where To Buy: Walmart

Mainstays Peach & Mango
Scent Description: Fruity notes of sweet mango and fresh papaya swirl with accents of juicy apricot and ripe guava fruit, wrapped in floral highlights of island jasmine and golden ylang ylang
My Thoughts: Remember last week's BHG White Peach Mango? This is what that should of been. This is exactly what I want in peach scent. This is fresh, natural, fruity, and refreshing. There isn't a hint of anything artificial,  musty, or noxious in this scent. It's a very pleasant scent. This had great throw for several hours. If you like peach scents please pick this one over the BHG one!
Where To Buy: Walmart

Living Colors Coastal Breeze
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is unlike any other ocean themed scent I own. It is really hard to describe because of that. I'd say this is a blend of a light clean laundry note, a grassy green note, a faint cologne note, and perhaps like a sandy/beachy note? All the notes are evenly balanced and it really is a unique scent. It definitely reads as an ocean scent, it just is different than what I'm used to from those types of scents. I do really like it though! This didn't have the greatest throw, but was average for a few hours.
Where To Buy: Big Lots

Cupcake Polish Folies Bergere

I have a Cupcake Polish to share with you today. I was introduced to Cupcake Polish last year at Cosmoprof. I quickly discovered how amazing Cupcake Polish does holos! I received 3 of the Las Vegas Showgirls collection to review, and those were so amazing I had to purchase the rest of the collection. This is one of the colors I purchased.

Folies Bergere
Folies Bergere is a bright cool-toned pink holo with silver flakies and holographic microglitter.

Collection: Cupcake Polish Las Vegas Showgirls Summer 2015

Color: This is an amazing pink holo. I love pink polishes, but they get kind of neglected these days. A great pink is hard to find in a see of "been there, done that" pinks. This pink is a showstopper. I love the current trend in spicing up holos. Let's face it holos are everywhere now, but adding in the silver flakies and holographic glitter really amps these up.

Formula: Excellent and easy to use formula. This applied evenly and smoothly in 2 coats.

Price: This is $13 on Cupcake Polish's website.

Overall: I love Folies Bergere. This is beautiful bright pink polish with so many great holo elements. The formula is great and I don't have much else to add.

Noodles Nail Polish Love Struck

I have a Noodles Valentine's polish to share with you today. I had no intention of buying any Valentine's nail polishes, but I saw some of Noodles' offerings and I caved. It's like Noodles Nail Polish knows my taste in nail polish. Everything they create I love!

Love Struck
Love Struck is a pink tinted jelly base with magenta glitters and cherry, purple, gold and pink holo glitters.

Collection: Noodles Nail Polish Valentine's 2016

Color: This is an awesome glitter bomb! I love the intensity of this pink color. The intensity of the holo glitter in this is awesome too. I love the use of purple and gold in this blend as it gives the color a lot of dimension.

Formula: Excellent full coverage glitter! I used 2 coats. This applied easily.

Price: This is $9 on Noodles Nail Polish etsy site.

Overall: Love Struck is an amazing jelly holo glitter. I love the blend of pink and purple shades to create this overall look. The holo factor in here is intense and the formula was great and easy to use.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Cuccio Nude-A-Tude

*I received the following product in exchange for my honest review.

I have another Cuccio from their Nudetrals collection to share with you today. I absolutely have fallen in love with this winter collection. It definitely has been feeding into my nude and neutral color obsession this season. This color from the collection has turned out to be one of my favorite nude polishes ever along with Avon Nude & Infused.

Nude-A-Tude
Nude-A-Tude is a pink-toned nude creme with a subtle shimmer.

Collection: Cuccio Colour NUDETrals Winter 2015/16

Color: A pinky-toned nude! Yes! These are so hard to come by in nail polish. Nude polishes are either so pale or so yellow-toned they look horrible on me. This is perfect. I love the color and how it pairs nicely with my skin tone and the subtle shimmer livens it up.

Formula: Excellent formula! This is another thing that can be hard to find in nudes. I used 2 coats and it applied evenly and smoothly.

Price: You can find this on HB Beauty Bar for $8.

Overall: Nude-A-Tude is a beautiful nude polish. I love the color and how it pairs nicely with my skin tone. The formula was great and I have no complaints!

Model City Polish Fall in Love

It's the week before Valentine's! I'll be featuring some red, pink, and other Valentine's appropriate and inspired polishes. Today, I have a new to me brand to share with you today, Model City Polish. The brand has always been on my radar, but it was one of those brands I just never got around to purchasing. When I saw Model City's fall collection I knew that "never got around to" business would have to end. I picked up this one from that collection.

Fall in Love
Fall In Love is a dark wine jelly filled with holographic pigment and gold ultra holo glitter.

Collection: Model City Polish Fall 2015

Color: This is a gorgeous holo! I love this wine colored shade it's the perfect deep red with a hint of purple. What makes this polish for me is that gold ultra holo glitter. I love it when gold glitter or shimmer is added to anything. I especially love gold holo glitter which I rarely see! Thank you Model City!

Formula: This has an excellent formula. This was a two coater and applied smoothly.

Price: This is $11.00 on Model City's etsy site.

Overall: Fall in Love is a beautiful and unique polish. I love the shade of red of this polish, the holographic effect, and of course the gold ulta holo glitter. This is a stunner and this is definitely a brand I will be repurchasing from!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 *Golden* Paint Splatter

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 1/31/16-2/7/16

I did have some success this week at finding new wax. It looks like my Walmart is finally getting in some of the spring/summer scents. Thank goodness! I think you can tell from my wax selection this week that I'm over fall/winter scents for sure. I'm enjoying the colder weather, but I'm over colder weather scents!

ScentSationals Cucumber Melon
Scent Description: Refreshingly cool & crisp
My Thoughts: I've mentioned before I like melon scents. This is no exception. I find a lot of fruity scents too sweet for me, but melon scents always have that refreshing watery note to them that keeps them in check. This is a very fresh melon scent paired with watery and crisp cucumber. It's the perfect balance of sweet and fresh. This had a strong throw that lasted several hours.
Where To Buy: Walmart or ScentSationals website.

Chesapeake Bay Candle Paradise Flower
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I've had hit or miss results with this brand. This one was average throw for me. The scent of this to me smelled like a blend of pineapple, some floral, and watery note. There maybe the slightest bit of coconut in there too. This has a really nice fresh tropical scent. My issue with this is that slight coconut touch. Coconut scents always come off artificial to me and so does this one. It doesn't ruin this scent for me completely, but it's certainly not winning any gold stars. Tropical scents don't all have to have coconut in them!
Where To Buy: Target

Ten Digit Creations Night Shift
Scent Description: soft lavender and tonka
My Thoughts: I like lavender scents and this is on the scale of a sweet lavender rather than a herbal one. I prefer herbal lavenders, but I do enjoy some softer lavender scents. I'm on the fence about Night Shift. It really does smell like a lavender macaroon or some bakery type lavender. I'm not a bakery fan, but I do like the lavender. It's OK, but not one I'd repurchase. This had moderate throw.
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations

Better Homes & Gardens White Peach Mango
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I adored this one cold sniff. I feel like mango and peach scents can sometimes get musty or be very artificial. This was a very fresh and bright blend of peach and mango on cold sniff. When I melted this one it was POTENT and it changed from being fresh and bright to nauseating and artificial. I so badly wanted to like this one, but it was just way too strong and way too fake. First impressions can be deceiving!
Where To Buy: Walmart

ScentSationals Sea Glass
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I wish this one had a scent description because it's so hard to describe. There is a definite salty and watery ocean note in here paired with some type of floral. Ocean scents are my favorite so I like this one. It's very fresh and pleasant. I can't say it's entirely original, but I don't have anything that smells exactly like it either. It doesn't have the "it factor" like TDC Sea Salt & Ocean Breezes, but it's nice and it will remain in my rotation. This had a nice throw for several hours.
Where To Buy: ScentSationals website

Fresh Paint Olivia

Orlando finally got a Five Below and I'm really excited. Honestly, I thought I'd just love the nail polish there, but I've found so many other great finds. I did come across a Fresh Paint color that caught my eye recently. You know why? Well, it's a neutral. I'm all about the neutrals this winter and this one is a winner.

Olivia
Olivia is a grey/taupe creme.

Color: I'm having a hard time describing this grey. I don't think it's a straight up pure grey, it does have hint of taupe to it. I love this color! If you asked me this 5  years ago I would of said I hated this color. Taupes were not my thing, but now. I love it! It's a great neutral shade.

Formula: Wow! This formula surprised me. It was PERFECT. I used 2 coats, but I could imagine if you used thick coats you could get away with one. It was smooth, buttery ,and so easy to apply.

Price: I got this at Five Below in a 3 for $5 deal. I believe they're $2 individually.

Overall: I love Olivia. The color is beautiful and formula is great. This fits perfectly in my little neutral winter color obsession I have going on. I approve!

Noodles Nail Polish Winter Daze

The indie market is absolutely overwhelming for me. I feel like it's just nail polish overload on social media with all the indies out there. I cannot keep up especially now with so many small releases, specialty collection, indie boxes. Literally, my brain cannot compute. It's just too much.

I really try zone in one brands I love and honestly I have to tune the rest out. Every so often, a brand pops on my radar and I have a new much loved brand. That brand for me now is Noodles Nail Polish. I came across their holiday collection and fell in love. I then came across their winter collection and fell harder. This was one of the colors I feel for.

Winter Daze
Winter Dazes is a deep cornflower blue crelly that's full of gold holo glitters, blue/gold flakies, and aqua micro glitter.

Collection: Noodles Nail Polish Winter 2016

Color: You know me. I love my cool-toned colors paired with warm metals. I love this shade of blue paired this mix of glitters. It's gorgeous and unique. I adore it when indie makers do color combinations like this, they're my absolute favorite.

Formula: Excellent formula. I used 2 coats above. This applies beautifully, smoothly, and opaquely.

Price: This is $8.50 on Noodles Nail Polish etsy site. This one is limited edition! There are only 8 bottles left! Get one!

Overall: This is an all star polish. I love the color combination. The formula is excellent and probably one of the best crelly formulas I've tried. I think this is must have, so for the 8 of you left who get it you're lucky!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 *Golden* Paint Splatters

Cuccio Olive You

*I received the following product in exchange for my honest review.

I found out about Cuccio's NUDEtrals back at Cosmoprof in July. I've never really been into neutral or nude polish really. This collection caught my eye back in July, but only a few colors. I can tell you now, I don't know what has changed but I am loving nudes and neutrals this winter. I've been wearing it in clothes, makeup, and nails. I really have stuck to the neutral theme since the beginning of January when I usually change up nail colors. Nope, I'm all about the neutrals!

Here's another great color from the NUDEtrals collection.

Olive You
Olive You is a grey-toned olive green with a stunning golden and bronze shimmer.

Collection: Cuccio NUDEtrals Winter 2015-16

Color: I'm not a big green polish fan, much less an olive green one. I have found that the right olive green can look good on me. This is one of them. I adore this color! It's a completely unique color to me, and definitely not a color I would typically reach for. I love it though. I love the muted tone and that gorgeous shimmer.

Formula: The formula on this is sheer and similar to Grey's Anatomy in that sense. I did find this formula to be thinner and much easier to use. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This can be purchased at HB Beauty Bar online for $8.

Overall: Gorgeous polish! I highly recommend this one. I love the color and the shimmer. This one is a stunner.
