Throwback Thursday: Barielle Falling Star

I almost didn't post this one, because this one is so old I didn't think it was still available for purchase, but it is! What's even funnier is how little I knew about this history this polish. I bought this way after the fact in a blog sale, but while looking it up today I realized this was actually part of a Barielle All Lacquered Up collection. Yes, as in the blogger! I had no idea until now. Where have I been?

Falling Star
Falling Star is a medium blue creme with small copper glitters.

Color: This is the type of color that was ahead of it's time. These brighter bold blues have made a mark in nail polish in the past 3 years, and this came out in 2009. Blue is here to stay. The copper glitters contrast nicely against the blue, to create a unique look.

Collection: Barielle Fall 2009 All Lacquered Up

Formula: This formula was good. I used 2 coats above. The formula is a tad thicker than normal, but it didn't impede application at all.

Price: This can be found on Amazon for $7.99.

Overall: Excellent nail polish! This is one I'm so happy to have in my collection. I don't know of any other polishes like it 5 years down the the line. It's a beautiful color combination, and one to certainly not forget about.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Thursday!

Barielle June Bug

Don't hate me everyone. This is a color I don't believe you can find anymore unless you get really lucky. I happened to by a stroke of luck come across this one in a blog sale. I want to share it with you all because it's so pretty and it's been a color I've wanted for awhile. I know a lot of blog readers don't like it when bloggers share HTF polishes, but let me share this pretty please??? :D

Barielle June Bug

June Bug is a steely blue-grey with a bright aqua shimmer and sparse fuchsia and sliver glitter.

This is a beautiful polish I've been wanting for a few years. It's long discontinued and out of sight. I pretty much gave up on every trying to find it, but I got lucky! This is where blog sales are AWESOME. I've found some of the best polishes through blog sales. If there is a polish you've been looking for a long time, don't count it out, blog sales are the place to look!

Happy Friday!

Barielle Buddha-Ful

If there is any type of polishes I still cannot control my impulses on it is flakie polishes. I have that same urge I had to buy them all like I did with all types of nail polish when I first got into blogging. I cannot turn down a flakie, so when I found Barielle had one out I had to get it.

Buddha-ful

Buddha-ful is a milky nude sheer with iridescent green/pink flakies.

This polish is awesome. This to me has the similar effect as Revlon Starry Pink. It's a subtle shade with a punch, but not so much it takes away the softness of the color. I sure hope that makes sense. What is great about this it's opaque in 3 coats. You don't have to layer this on until the end of time to get opacity. It looks great on its own, but you can layer it too if you'd like.

Here is it layered over China Glaze Sea Spray

Very pretty! I'd really only recommend layering this over lighter shades. The reason I say this because the base of Buddha-ful is a nude not clear, so if you layer it will alter the shade of the polish underneath. It will do the same for lighter shades as well, but it's not as noticeable.

If you like flakies I think this one should be on your list!

Happy Monday!

Barielle Slate of Affairs

Sorry I missed you guys yesterday. It was rather hectic for me. I've been a grumpasaurus this week. I can't shake it! I just have a lot of little stressors going on and there is always something on my mind that is either worrying me, annoying me, or bothering me. You ever have that? I don't want to whine and pout, or be like "boo hoo me". I just wish I could snap out of it! Any suggestions?

I do have a pretty polish for you today. In fact, since this is my only low key day this week I will be having a major swatch-a-thon. I have a basket full of pretties to swatch for you! This polish I'm showing you today is Barielle, it's quite the looker!

Slate of Affairs
Slate of Affairs is a slate blue with a light blue microshimmer.

Isn't this a beauty? I'd want my bedroom this color! This is one of those polishes that I don't really have much to say about other than I love it. :P

Happy Friday!

Barielle Falling Star

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! It's freezing cold here now. I like how it gets bitterly cold after Christmas. That's alright, as much as I complain about the heat I think I can handle a bit of nippy weather. Today I have another Barielle polish for you.

Falling Star
Falling Star is a medium periwinkle blue with spare copper glitter.

Gorgeous! I love the originality of this shade. I love blues with golds and bronzes. You always see silvery blues or blues with silver, but blues with warm colored metals is beautiful. It's a very rich combination.

What did you all get for the holidays this year?

Happy Monday!

Barielle Elle's Spell

I've never tried Barielle polish before, so this was first experience. When I first saw Elle's Spell on peoples blogs I knew I had to have it. It's red and it's a flakie! What a great combo!

Elle's Spell

Elle's Spell is a red jelly base with red iridescent flakies.

I like this polish. I didn't have a chance to layer it over other colors, but I'm sure it would look great over almost anything. Of course, I wish it was more like it was in the bottle on the nail, but I'm not disappointed. I still love it even if it's a on the sheer side. It's definitely a color you don't see often.

Happy Sunday!
