I wanted to revisit and oldie, but a goodie today. The downside to this is this isn't something you can find easily anymore. That being said I've seen it listed on ebay and Amazon for reasonable prices. I cannot attest to the reliability of the sellers, but I wanted to throw it out there!
I re-discovered this one thanks to my friend Alyssa over at Pretty Little Bottles. There are times when I can't decide what to paint my nails, so I'll text her and tell her to pick a number 1-19. I have 18 Helmer drawers, and one extra plastic container for odds and ends polishes (this holds polishes I only have 1-2 from a brand). The number she picks I'll pick a polish from that drawer. This time she picked #19, which was my odds and ends drawer of polishes, so I picked Borghese Mediterraneo Sea. I haven't worn this polish since it came out in 2010.
Meditteraneo Sea
Meditteraneo Sea is a medium blue base with multi colored small hex glitter throughout.
How could I have forgotten this beauty?!? This is a stunning polish. I don't know how to describe it. It kind of looks like sea glass with glitter, stained glass, or tiles you see in a Grecian or Roman bath? Whatever it looks like it's beautiful. This does dry matte, but I think it is so much prettier with top coat. A top coat allows the glitter and the base to really shine and sparkle!
Happy Tuesday!

Borghese Mediterraneo Sea
I'm not usually a fan of Borghese. In fact, I've been very disappointed by their polish. There is something about the formula that I don't care for. I did get a great one though. I got this next polish from my friend Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes.
Mediterraneo Sea
Mediterraneo Sea is a medium blue base with silver, magenta, and silver glitter. This dries matte, but you can apply top coat.
I actually prefer this with top coat, but that's just me. I love this color. I have issues with Borghese formula it doesn't apply well to me personally, but I can always make it work. This color is worth the extra effort. I love a glittery blue, especially one that has different colored glitters inside it. You know China Glaze Flying Dragon the purple with the red and blue glitters? I want more polishes like that... a base color with different color glitters in it!
Happy Friday
P.S. I'm behind a few days on my comment replies. I'll catch up today! Sorry, I've been so bad at replying to comments. I hope you can forgive me. :)

Borghese Rossi Apple
Borghese is a brand of polish that retails pretty high in drugstores. They are usually around $8. To be quite honest I have not been entirely impressed with them. It's something about their formula. It seems to drag on my nails after I've done one coat. It doesn't apply as smoothly as I would like. I've also had some high expectations with some colors that didn't turn out as nice as I would of expected. The price that they're sold at and the experience I've had with this brand is disappointing to me. This is just me though. I'm sure there are others who love this brand.
Rossi Apple
Rossi Apple is a deep pinky/red shimmer.
Meh. I don't have much to say about this. It's not very original. I wanted to like this because it is more a pink/red for the fall season. It's a pretty color, but it doesn't wow me. I feel like it's way too "blah". I don't know if I feel this way because the shade is really "blah" or I'm just becoming more picky with colors. I have lots of reds and pinks, so I always look for something I don't have. I suspect this why I'm not thrilled with this one. It looked cool in the bottle, but on the nail it was just yawn worthy. It's very "been there..done that"!
What do you think of Borghese polishes? Any favorites?
Happy Friday!

Wee Haul!
My parents sadly left yesterday. I feel silly being 24 and so attached to my parents. We live very far apart and I don't get to see them often. I really enjoy their visits. The past 2 weeks up until their visit had been rather hellish for me. I was struggling with a lot of stress, anxiety, and depression for various reasons. Thankfully, about mid-last week I started feeling myself again, and their visit really picked up my spirits. I'm sad to see them go, but I'm sure they'll be visiting again after the holidays. While they were here we did some shopping. I got some new clothes and of course nail polish! I wanted to share with you my goodies!
LA Colors L-R: Amethyst, Copper, Nectar, & Red Stilettos
I found these at Dollar General for $1 each. I also found Poshe Fast Drying Top Coat for $3 each! I grabbed 3 bottles of those!
China Glaze L-R: Midnight Mission, Zombie Zest, Kiwi Cool-Ada, & Emerald Fitzgerald
First of all, I had no idea Lane Bryant had nail polishes, but I'm glad they did. I got these at the Lane Bryant outlet. These are jam packed glitter flakies!!!! I just wish the names were switched. It would of made more sense if the reddish one was Island Volcano. These were $6.00 each but it was BOGO 1/2 off. Pretty pricey in my opinion. The other colors were very general, but for these flakies I think it was worth it!
That's what I got this past weekend. Swatches to come soon. I can't wait to show you these flakies. That blue one is amazing!!!
Happy Tuesday!

Borghese Swatches
I picked up 2 Borghese polishes a little awhile ago when CVS was having their 50%-75% of beauty products sale. This is still going on so you can still probably find some of these. These retail for $8, which is a price I'd rarely pay for a polish sold in drugstores.
I got two colors Dolce Vita Fuchsia and Siena Gold with 75% off these ended up being $2, so I saw no reason to pass them up! There was an amazing color I really wanted to called Stellare Notte, but it wasn't on sale :(.
Siena Gold
Siena Gold is a warm toned almost coppery red with gold shimmer throughout. The application was nice and the color is great.
Dolce Vita Fuchsia
Dolce Vita Fuchsia is a bright fuchsia with silver shimmer throughout.
My thoughts: I like these colors, but I think many of the Borghese colors are pretty standard where you can find duplicates or similar colors in less expensive brands. There were a few stand out colors like Stellare Notte (Vampy Varnish's swatch), which I adore that is being sold for their regular price (I may cave in and get this). If you find these at the reduced price I say go for it. If you find an awesome shade for regular price you don't see anyone where else I'd so go for it to. However, the majority of these colors I don't think are worth the price for a brand sold in drugstores. This is purely my opinion though, don't let me sway you!
I hope you all enjoy your day. Happy Memorial Day to all those in the US!

Aqua Franken & Budget Haulage!!
This is a aqua franken I made well over a year ago. I sadly do not remember the mixture 100%, but I do believe it was Sally Hansen Lime Lights + Sally Hansen Marine Scene + Sally Hansen White Tip + Sally Hansen Dimension. I'd say it's muted medium aquamarine shimmer. It does have some green and blue glitter mixed in but it hardly never shows up on the nail which is FINE. I actually prefer it this way! I named this one Grecian Waters because it reminded me of the beautiful color of the sea off the shores of Greece.
Today I did some major budget hauling! First I got this amazing haul from Jessika aka Jbrobeck on MUA or @jbrobs on Twitter. She is having a NP sale on LiveJournal and had some pricey polishes for great prices! She also threw in some extras which was very sweet. Thank you!
L-R: OPI DS Ruby, Revlon Crimson Sparkle, Orly Goth, Sinful Colors Vacation Time, Maybelline Red Aluminum, Purple Aluminum, Funky Fingers Red Glitter, Funky Fingers Silver Glitter
I also did some hauling at CVS. Let me tell you guys if you do not have a CVS card please get one. I know CVS doesn't have the selection that Walgreens does but if you have their Extra Care Card you can really do some major saving. I bought the following things some for regular price, but some for 75% off. I also purchased some other non-beauty items and used some coupons.
L-R: Milani Buzz Worthy Gloss Bee-utiful, Milani Buzz Worhty Goss Be-Mine, Orly Wild Wisteria, Borghese Dolce Vita Fuchsia, Borghese Siena Gold, Sally Hansen Blew Me Away
I got $8 Borghese nail polish 75% off making them $2 (not all colors but quite a few) also Milani Buzz Worthy Lip Gloss originally $7 75% off making them $1.75! I also picked up the Orly reg. price, Sally Hansen reg. price, and some other non beauty products. If I paid full price for all of this plus the non beauty products I would of been paying $45, but with these sales and some CVS coupons I ended up only paying $17.50. I ended up saving $27.50! This excited me greatly! Can you tell? I am over the moon! Sales and bargains are great!
I also got these two Wet n' Wild polishes at Albertsons BOGO free!
L-R: Blue Moon & Bijou Blue
As you can see I had a good day! I really suggest looking up drugstores weekly savings, getting a CVS card and using their coupons or any other coupons for that matter. If you're interested in budget beauty buying like I mentioned before I really recommend the following bloggers..
