Eva Supreme #185

Eva Surpeme Nail Lacquer? Who are you?  This is a brand I've found only at Walgreens, and I'm pretty sure it's only in Florida? I don't think it's everywhere in Florida either? I can find absolutely NOTHING on this company online. The only thing I see on the bottle besides the brand name and ingredients is Miami, FL. That is my only clue...that gets me absolutely no where.

This brand seems to change out its selection of colors seasonally. I see new ones every few months or so. A majority of their colors are pretty standard non-interesting colors, but occasionally they have real winner. The polish I have for you today is a definite winner!

Eva Supreme #185

#185 is bright blue violet with an intense pink shimmer.

Win! This is insanely beautiful. The shimmer in this is not shy. It pops! The only sucky thing is why does this not have a name? #185 is not a deserving name for this. Eva Supreme used to name their polishes, but now they all just have numbers. Lame. Besides, that it's absolutely beautiful.  I will say these polishes are not Big 3 Free. I can see that from the ingredients, and I can tell by the smell. That doesn't really bother me, so I'm happy climb aboard the purple-y pink shimmer goodness ship.

Happy Monday!

Eva Bare

I'm so glad it's Saturday! I'm feeling stir crazy, and I feel guilty for saying that because I know many of you have a good reason to be stir crazy! I wasn't one of the ones stuck in the wintery weather, but I've been stuck doing school stuff non-stop, and I need a day out! Anywho, today I have a nice Eva color to share.

Bare
Bare is light bubblegum pink with a golden shimmer.

I love this shade. I've always been looking for a paler pink with a golden shimmer. Since I'm a gold shimmer addict, I need about every single color of the rainbow with gold shimmer in it. I have this shade on my toes now, and it's very pretty. Eva is an odd brand to me. I've only been able to find it at Walgreens, and I'm convinced it maybe only sold in Florida since they are based out of Miami? Unless any of you outside of Florida have seen it? I really love their color selection though and they are $2 a bottle, so no complaints.

Happy Saturday!

Eva Powder Blue

The hard part of my week is now over. *Knocks on wood* everything else goes ok. Now I'm just left of piles of school work to get done by Monday. Oh well! Anyway, I have another Eva polish for you! This isn't the most original color, but it was one I didn't have in my collection and for $2 it was worth it.

Powder Blue
Powder is blue is pretty self explainatory. :P It's a pastel blue creme. Gorgeous blue creme a that! Pastels tend to look awful on me, but I don't mind this one. In fact, I actually really like it. I also really like these Eva polishes. It's kind of hit and miss with the selection though, it seems as though other people like these too because sometimes I find the display 75% empty! The only issue some people may have with these that I've mentioned before is they are not Big 3 free.

What are some of your favorite light blue cremes?

Happy Thursday!

Eva-Mine

Before I get into this post, if you remember a few weeks ago I asked if anyone was able to sell me a bottle of OPI Pink Me I'm Good because it was a major lemming for me! Thankfully, Enamel Girl had an extra bottle and sold it me. I just got it today and I'm over the moon! Thank you so much! I'd love to share this one the blog, but it is HTF and not easy to get a under $10. Does anyone have any objections to me posting this polish? If you do it won't hurt my feelings. I promise :)

Anyways, Eva is polish brand I've been able to find at a few Walgreens here in Orlando. I think they are based out of Miami, and I'm not sure if anyone has been able to find these anywhere outside Florida? They make your standard colors but they also make a few unusual ones. Check out my other Eva post to see the other colors I have. I happened to find another great color from this brand that happens to be a duochrome!

Mine
Yes this all the same bottle of polish! This varies from a bronzy-pink, to a rose gold, to a straight up gold depending on the angle. It is a great duochrome it's not subtle at all. It's gorgeous!!!! I don't have any other words for it.

The only downside to Eva polishes is they are not Big 3 free. They have formaldehyde, toluene, and the whole kitten kaboodle. I know this is a issue for a lot of people into nail polish. Personally, I don't really mind, but I understand people who do mind. That all being said I have grabbed and extra bottle of it, and I'll be in search of more bottles of it this week. Would anyone be interested in me doing a giveaway with this polish? If most people have issues with the Big 3 thing I won't do a giveaway, but if most of you don't mind, I will do a giveaway with the bottles I can find of this polish with a clear warning these are not Big 3 free. Let me know what you think. :)

Happy Monday!

Hauly Haul Haul

No real post today. I am swamped with work still. I am such a perfectionist and I like to get my classwork done ASAP, but I just can't concentrate this week! I'm not the type of person who does things last minute. I've got about 60% of my work for the week done. I put way too much pressure on myself to get things done at a certain time, and when I don't accomplish that I get frazzled and lose focus. I need to just re-group and get my stuff done. It's not due until Monday, if it's done Saturday or Sunday instead of yesterday or today the world isn't going to end. I don't need to always finish the race first. I hope there are some other perfectionists out there who can relate? :P

Anyways, over the past week I have accumilated some goodies.

I got some Sinful Colors thanks to the Walgreens sale, and my wonderful parents who mailed me some Del Sol polishes they got me on their vacation last week. I love my parents, they're too sweet. I appreciate it so much, because Del Sol polishes are bit high for me and I had been wanting some for some time!  There is also a Wet n Wild polish and a pretty Eva duochrome thrown in there!

Look for swatches soon! I can't wait to share the Del Sol polishes with you. Time to get back to work, but I need some food first. I am LOVING this Sabra hummus you can get at the grocery store. It's so good with grilled chicken in a pita or on Wheat Thins. It's pretty much good on anything.  I think I've been eating hummus everyday for the past 2 weeks. Have you all tried this hummus before or hummus in general? If not, give it a try. I love the Sabra sun-dried tomato kind! It's good for you too!

Happy Friday

Eva Kelly Green & Green Glitter

Eva polish is an interesting brand I've only encountered at one Walgreens. I haven't seen it anywhere else. I did some research on it and I couldn't find anything. On the bottle it says it's made in Miami, FL so maybe it's some Florida thing?

Anyways, they had a nice selection of polishes. I think I saw about 20-30 colors. I think for the most part their colors were pretty interesting. I saw a few shimmers, glitters, and duchromes and they were $2 a bottle. Now that I think back I should of taking a picture of the display! :P

I got 2 colors Kelly Green & Green Glitter

Kelly Green
Kelly Green is well a kelly green creme. There isn't much more to describe with this one color wise. The formula of this was great. I just swatched this and it does dry on the matte side which top coat can fix or you can keep it mattified! I got this one because it reminded me of Essie's Pretty Edgy. I think this color is slightly lighter, but being a person who doesn't have luck with greens I found this a great alternative to the Essie $8 price tag. It's a great color and I'm actually liking this green on me!

Green Glitter
Green Glitter is green hexagonal glitter submerged in a clear base. It's an unusual layering polish that I definitely didn't have anything similar too. I really like having unusual glitters. I layered this one over the Eva Kelly Green and over a NYC Black Lace. I like this one especially over the black. I think it would make a great manicure. This would probably be neat to franken with too!

That's it for today. This is just a fraction of my mega lacquer haul! I had a really great time with my parents. I wish they could of stayed longer. I don't miss home at all living in Florida, but I definitely miss my family. It was nice treat to be able to see them.

Has anyone seen this Eva polish before?

Happy Thursday!
