Throwbacks Week: Funky Fingers Jester

Remind me that I don't like photographing swatches with the Funky Fingers bottles? Geez Lousie, my fingers would not cooperate with holding this bottle. Anyways, I do have a Funky Fingers polish to share with you today. I believe this one was from 2010. I'm not sure if this came in a particular collection or what, but I do remember I won it in a giveaway long, long, ago!

Jester
Jester is a purple scattered holo.

Collection: Unknown, but released in 2010.

Color: You can't go wrong with a purple holo. I know today we have tons of purple holos, but this was a purple holo back when it was harder to get one. I'd say this is more of a true purple. I know lately we have a lot of red-toned purples, this does have a red undertone, but it's more of a purple than an orchid or fuchsia. I'm also a fan of the scattered holo. We don't get a lot of those anymore.

Formula: The formula on this was pretty good. It was 2 smooth coats and I didn't really notice any quality issues from the formula for it being so old.

Price: N/A. I don't think you can find this anymore unless you come across it in a blog sale.

Overall: This is a great solid purple holo. I love this shade of purple and the strongly scattered holo effect. I just hate Funky Fingers bottle shape!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Wednesday!

Going down the funky rabbit hole....

I won My Lucid Bubble's Funky Fingers giveaway a bit ago. I just received these polishes, so I figured I'd swatch them for you all.

Five of these polishes are based off of Alice in Wonderland. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland. I even went to Alice's day in Oxford, England (I didn't go for that it happened to be going on when I was there!). It is one of my favorite stories can you tell? I'm very picky about movie versions though. My absolute favorite Alice version is the one they made for TV in 1985. I wasn't even born until 1986, but I know they replayed it a lot. It featured a lot of old famous stars, like Carol Channing, Sammy Davis Jr., Ringo Starr, and etc. Did anyone see that one? It had all these catchy songs. It was my favorite and I have it on DVD now. I'm a nerd. I know this. :P

Back to polishes!
L-R: Off With Their Heads, Mad Hatter, Cheshire, Alice, Jester, White Queen, & Moonwalk

These are great polishes! I don't own any Funky Fingers polishes, so I was excited to get these. I think these are only sold in the Northeast of the US. The application of these were great! I am very impressed. I also love the names obviously...

Off With Their Heads
-a bright raspberry creme, reminds me of China Glaze Heli-Yum

Mad Hatter- a bright sky blue creme

Cheshire- a bright purple creme, probably OPI Funky Dunkey's lighter brighter cousin

Alice- a sapphire blue foil-GORGEOUS!!!!

Jester
- a grape purple holographic

White Queen
-a chunky iridescent white glitter, probably best for layering.
Index finger- White Queen over Black, Middles & Pinky- White Queen on its own 4 coats, & Ring Finger- White Queen over white.

Moonwalk
-a black creme with holographic glitter

These are great! Thank you so much Lucid Bubble for this giveaway! :D Which ones are your favorites?

Aqua Franken & Budget Haulage!!

This is a aqua franken I made well over a year ago. I sadly do not remember the mixture 100%, but I do believe it was Sally Hansen Lime Lights + Sally Hansen Marine Scene + Sally Hansen White Tip + Sally Hansen Dimension. I'd say it's muted medium aquamarine shimmer. It does have some green and blue glitter mixed in but it hardly never shows up on the nail which is FINE. I actually prefer it this way! I named this one Grecian Waters because it reminded me of the beautiful color of the sea off the shores of Greece.

Today I did some major budget hauling! First I got this amazing haul from Jessika aka Jbrobeck on MUA or @jbrobs on Twitter. She is having a NP sale on LiveJournal and had some pricey polishes for great prices! She also threw in some extras which was very sweet. Thank you!

L-R: OPI DS Ruby, Revlon Crimson Sparkle, Orly Goth, Sinful Colors Vacation Time, Maybelline Red Aluminum, Purple Aluminum, Funky Fingers Red Glitter, Funky Fingers Silver Glitter

I also did some hauling at CVS. Let me tell you guys if you do not have a CVS card please get one. I know CVS doesn't have the selection that Walgreens does but if you have their Extra Care Card you can really do some major saving. I bought the following things some for regular price, but some for 75% off. I also purchased some other non-beauty items and used some coupons.

L-R: Milani Buzz Worthy Gloss Bee-utiful, Milani Buzz Worhty Goss Be-Mine, Orly Wild Wisteria, Borghese Dolce Vita Fuchsia, Borghese Siena Gold, Sally Hansen Blew Me Away

I got $8 Borghese nail polish 75% off making them $2 (not all colors but quite a few) also Milani Buzz Worthy Lip Gloss originally $7 75% off making them $1.75! I also picked up the Orly reg. price, Sally Hansen reg. price, and some other non beauty products. If I paid full price for all of this plus the non beauty products I would of been paying $45, but with these sales and some CVS coupons I ended up only paying $17.50. I ended up saving $27.50! This excited me greatly! Can you tell? I am over the moon! Sales and bargains are great!

I also got these two Wet n' Wild polishes at Albertsons BOGO free!

L-R: Blue Moon & Bijou Blue

As you can see I had a good day! I really suggest looking up drugstores weekly savings, getting a CVS card and using their coupons or any other coupons for that matter. If you're interested in budget beauty buying like I mentioned before I really recommend the following bloggers..
NouveauCheap
DrugstoreDivas

That's it for today! Happy Shopping!

P.S. I just got my package of Ulta3 nail polishes I won from More Nail Polish's giveaway! Thank you so much! I will be swatching these and the ones I mentioned above this weekend.
