It's been a pretty good wax week especially considering last week wasn't so great. I'm starting to panic now because I was trying to hold off on burning too many holiday waxes so I wouldn't get burned out, but Christmas is in 2 weeks and I still have plenty I haven't reviewed! I need to get my wax booty in gear!
Scentsy World Traveler
Scent Description: Blackberry, dark pomegranate, and oak bark.
My Thoughts: I love scents like these! This is a very elegant and upscale blend of tart berries and woodsy notes. It's a very sophisticated scent. It smells like a famous old library or something. I know that's a terrible description, but that's what it makes me think of most. My only complaint is that the throw isn't very strong which is unfortunate.

Ten Digit Creations Holiday (Ralph Lauren Type)
Scent Description: blend of rich and sparkling fruit notes combine with fir, cedar, juniper and pine to create a sophisticated holiday scent
My Thoughts: I don't know the Ralph Lauren fragrance so I can't compare, but what this does remind of is Bath & Body Work's Winter. This is a citrus and smoky outdoorsy scent. It's fresh scent while still being cozy. I really enjoyed it. This also had a great throw.
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations
Better Homes & Gardens First Winter Blizzard
Scent Description: Crushed peppermint leaf, smoked birch wood, fragrant pine and emerald holly leaf glisten with an icy, ozone freshness touched by mistletoe greens
My Thoughts: This scent is so unique and I love it! This has a fresh soapy scent to it, but with this icy and air coolness thrown in there. I'm not sure I'm detecting mint per say, but definitely something that brightens and cools this scent. It's really hard to describe because it's so unique. I don't own anything remotely close to this scent. The throw could be a smidge stronger, but I love it otherwise.
Scent Throw: 3/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
Butterfly Lane Appalachian Winter
Scent Description: Top notes of bergamot, orange, and lemon. Base notes of patchouli, vetiver, and tonka beans. This is a very unique outdoorsy scent.
My Thoughts: This was gifted to me by my friend Julie over at The Redolent Mermaid. This is another unique scent, but it has some familiarity to it as well. I'd call it a winter airy floral scent. The patchouli is strong in this which is where the familiarity comes from, but the other notes make it unique. I love the added notes of citrus and there is something else in there that brightens and freshens this scent up. Another great one!
Scent Throw: 3.5/5

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 11/27/16-12/4/16
I finally was able to find some of the new Better Homes & Gardens winter wax melts this week, so that's a success! Overall, this wax week was a bit of let down. I had more duds than wins, but that's OK. Experimenting is fun anyways!
Ten Digit Creations Peppermint Meringue
Scent Description: sweet peppermint, fluffy marshmallows, and whipped cream make up this sweet confection
My Thoughts: Peppermint scents are about the only sweet-type scents I do actually like. This one was alright. There is a definite peppermint note, but the cream and marshmallow notes are subtle. The scent is nice, but it's not 100% for me. The scent wasn't as strong as I'd like it to be either especially for a peppermint scent.
Scent Throw: 2.5/5
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations
Better Homes & Gardens Winter's Sleigh Ride
Scent Description: Seasonal blend of orange zest, cool winter spices, smoky woods, incense and mountain fir, with a warming base of oakmoss, blue cedar and vanilla bean.
My Thoughts: This was my favorite scent this week. It's a smoky Christmas tree scent that is warm and cozy. The Christmas tree notes in here are not overpowering or strong as the smokiness really softens and mellows them out. I do detect a bit of citrus in this too. This is really a nice cozy winter air scent. I really like this one.
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
Yankee Candle Over the River
Scent Description: A cool and calm stroll by the river. . . watery green notes with hints of sage, amber and oak.
My Thoughts: This is one of those water and masculine cologne type scents. The watery notes and sage are most prominent to my nose. It's not the most original type scent, but I do really like it. That being said, the throw on this was weak. I could smell it very strongly if I was less than 3ft away from it any more than that it was undetectable to me. This is a common problem with Yankee tarts.
Scent Throw: 1/5
Where To Buy: Yankee Candle
Lake Providence Lodge Sparkling Lemonade
Scent Description: Ice cold lemonade with a touch of fizzy citrus soda added.
My Thoughts: I should have known better when I purchased this one, but I love fizzy and effervescent scents so I thought I'd try it anyways. This is just way too sweet for me. It's very sugary and scents this sweet just turn my stomach. I think if you like sweet scents like many people do you would like this one. There is that fizzy note in there that I love, but it's just too sweet for my tastes and stomach!

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 11/13/16-11/20/16
It's been a fairly good wax week. I did start breaking in some holiday scents, but held it together and didn't start plowing through them yet. The temptation is strong though! I'm sure this next week I'll blow through some!
Better Homes & Gardens Season of Joy
Scent Description: Balsam and fir adorned with festive red berries join notes of warm woods and oriental amber accented by vanilla caramel and shimmering spice
My Thoughts: This to me is an excellent holiday scent without being stereotypical holiday scent. I definitely get berry notes, followed up by some woodsy, caramel, and perfume-like notes with the balsam rounded it out in the background. It smells like it could be a holiday perfume but it's not overpowering or strong. It's just right. I really love this scent.
Scent Throw: 3/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
Lake Providence Lodge Tree-lined Trail
Scent Description: The scent of sweet fir, cypress and fresh mountain air.
My Thoughts: Whew-wee this is strong! Too strong for my liking. This is just so resinous and has that strong sweet woodsy tree scent to it it's just too much. I do like Christmas tree scents, but I prefer them to have a lighter and brighter touch because they can get heavy handed easily. This was sadly the case for this one. Too much!
Scent Throw: 4.5/5
Where To Buy: Lake Providence Lodge
Ten Digit Creations Zero Tolerance
Scent Description: a lemongrass scent on steroids
My Thoughts: Accurate scent description. I go through phases with lemongrass. Sometimes I love it sometimes I don't. Right now, I'm in a love phase and this scent is excellent. It's crisp, fresh, citrusy, and clean. It is a true lemongrass scent, it's strictly lemongrass nothing sweet or weird added to it. Just lemongrass and I dig it!
Scent Throw: 3/5
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations
Ten Digit Creations Snuggle
Scent Description: just like the original Snuggle fabric softener
My Thoughts: I was scared of this scent so it's been sitting around for awhile in my wax drawer. I do like laundry scents, but laundry scents can go too strong and headache inducing pretty quickly for me. On cold sniff, this smell S-T-R-O-N-G so I was hesitant. I was brave today and melted it and it mellowed out immensely when melted. It left the perfect light fresh laundry scent dispersed in the air. This is one of the few times I'd rather a scent be light than strong. I'm happy this was the case.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 9/4/16-9/11/16
I've had a couple of good wax weeks lately. The streak has been broken! It was almost a complete dud week. There were some redeeming factors with some waxes, but there was one this week that is probably the worst wax I've ever smelled!
Yankee Candle Autumn Gathering
Scent Description: A warm mix of fading sun and crisp days with harvest fruit, patchouli and sandalwood.
My Thoughts: I was drawn to this scent because it was an outdoorsy one. I'm having a hard time finding outdoorsy fall scents this year. They're all pumpkin, apple, and bakery. I like this scent it's fresh, airy, sweet, and woodsy. What I don't like about it is it just doesn't throw well. It's very lightly scented when melted.
Scent Throw: 2/5
Where To Buy: Yankee Candle
Better Homes & Gardens Perfect Pumpkin Ale
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is absolutely vile. I know what they're going for here some pumpkin cider type smell. It doesn't work. This smells very acidic and sharp. I'm not exaggerating when I say this but it smells like stomach acid. You know if you have acid reflux or after you throw up? That's what Perfect Pumpkin Ale smells like! It is the worst smelling wax I've ever tried. I couldn't even let it melt down all the way I had to throw it out within in 10 minutes on the warmer.
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: Don't, but if you dare Walmart
ScentSationals Cider House Donuts
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: You all know I'm not a bakery person, but there has been quite the buzz about this scent so I had to try it out. This is a bakery scent I can make an exception for. This one is very good. I've never tried a cider donut or seen one, so I can't really comment on the "cider" aspect of this scent. This does smell just like churros to me or those cinnamon/sugar hot nuts they sell during the holidays at malls and fairs. It's very yummy and it's not overly sweet to me. I melted this a good 4-5 hours before I felt like I had enough of it which is a record for me with bakery scents.
Scent Throw: 4.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
American Home by Yankee Candle Fall Morning
Scent Description: Enjoy a cool, crisp walk beneath the turning leaves…a scent of earthy cedar wood brightened with autumn blossoms.
My Thoughts: This one is very hard to describe. It's an airy, slightly woodsy, and very floral scent. It doesn't smell like any traditional autumn outdoorsy scent I'm used to. I really like this scent though. It's more of a perfume-like scent to me than anything I'd classify as outdoorsy. I just wish this had a stronger throw.
Scent Throw: 2.5/5

Fall Fun Series: Fall Decor & Melts
Today, for the Fall Fun Series I'll be showing you my fall decor and my recent melts. Mind you, I don't have a lot of fall decor. Decorating is one of my favorite things, but I'm very limited on space in a one bedroom apartment. That doesn't leave me a lot of room to decorate, and even less room to store decorations, so I have to keep it simple and small. Also, with my budget, I like to keep it inexpensive.
I have a little fall set up on my dining room table. I will be expanding my decorations come Halloween time to include my patio balcony and my front door. For now, this is what I have.
The highlight of my fall decor is definitely the lighted tree. I have this version and a cherry blossom one I bring out in spring and summer. I got this tree at Bed Bath & Beyond for a great price. This is the 22in Brown Wrapped Amber Leaf tree and it's $29.99. I purchased this in store using one of the 20% off coupons, so it was very reasonable. It's also available on their website. I bought this tree last year and it's still kicking this year.
The rest of my fall decor all comes from Dollar Tree. I know that's not very elegant or classy, but for my wants right now it works well. They actually do have some pretty cute stuff too. I got most of this stuff last fall, but I saw many of the same items there this year. I love the little stones with the cute autumn greetings. The fox "Happy Fall" one is new for this year. The pumpkins, flowers, straw owls, and pumpkin placemat all came from there too.
I also spotted these super cute kitchen towels at Walmart today. They had a nice little endcap display with kitchen towels and oven mitts for only $0.88 each!
My biggest problem when it comes to seasonal melts is I tend to overdo it early on. I will melt so much fall stuff August-September come October, I'm sick of fall scents and want to move into Christmas ones. That means by December, I'm ready for spring...and so on and so forth! I'm really trying not do that this year, so the past few days I have very few fall melts and a lot of everyday type melts I melt year round.
**The ones I have already reviewed will be linked with their name to my review post, the ones without links are ones I will be reviewing on Sunday's Weekly Wax Wrap Up post!

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 8/14/16-8/21/16
It was another pretty good week in wax for me. I think I also like knowing I'm not low on wax to review. I do have a handful of stuff for the future. I do wish my Walmart would get the entire selection of new wax from ScentSationals and Better Homes & Gardens, but I don't know if that will happen :(.
ScentSationals Pumpkin Spice
Scent Description: It's Pumpkin Time
My Thoughts: You know I'm not big on foodie scents, but I do enjoy some pumpkin scents. This is one I absolutely love! It's really just the perfect blend of straight up pumpkin and spice notes. There isn't anything cakey or sugary sweet which is where things can go awry for me. This scent is warm, cozy, and festive for fall.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
Better Homes & Gardens Bundled In Blankets (Cozy Winter Coat + Plush Fleece Mittens)
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is another dual sided wax one. I melted these together. The Cozy Winter Coat Side has a warm cashmere linen scent with what I'm smelling as a slight coffee note. The Plush Fleece Mittens also has a cashmere linen note with some vanilla perhaps? This is a nice scent, but I think it's weak on throw and together it just kind of falls flat. I think it's because they're both so similar. I feel like it needs something to pop.
Scent Throw: 1.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
Ten Digit Creations Blue Ridge Sunrise
Scent Description: fresh mountain air, dewdrops suspended from the tree leaves, and the rising sun in the distance
My Thoughts: This is a great fresh/clean nature scent. I really get a strong ozone airy note paired with fresh spring water. It's a very natural scent that makes you feel like you're outside in nature. The scent description is spot on with this scent. If you're a fan of clean airy scents you will want to try this one.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations
ScentSationals Yin & Yang
Scent Description: The relaxing scent of eucalyptus and mint
My Thoughts: I was curious about this one because ScentSationals also has a scent called Zen with a similar graphic and scent description. I'm pretty confident these scents are dupes of each other. This is basically Bath & Body Works Stress Relief. It's very a soothing scent. I will say one difference I notice is that Yin & Yang has a lighter throw than Zen. Zen you can easily get at Walmart whereas Yin & Yang you have to order from ScentSationals. Zen > Yin & Yang.
Scent Throw: 3/5
Where To Buy: ScentSationals

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 8/7/16-8/14/16
This has been a good week for wax, not just because I melted some good ones, but I found some new ones. I went to Walmart last Monday and they did have a handful fall scents out. I also got a Ten Digit Creations order with some new to me scents. Let's check out what I melted this week.
ScentSationals Nag Champa Incense
Scent Description: A space for peace
My Thoughts: Not a very descriptive scent description there. This scent is spectacular. This does have a traditional nag champa scent, but it also has this very clean and fresh element as well. I definitely get an earthy/floral base, but it has a brightness and I'd even call it a soapiness to it. It reminds me a lot of Lush's Celebrate. It has a lot of elements but overall creates an excellent scent. This is one of my favorite new scents I've come across in a while.

Ten Digit Creations Bamboo & White Grapefruit
Scent Description: fresh and clean scent of bamboo stalks and white grapefruits
My Thoughts: I got this as an unexpected sample and I'm so glad I did. I would have never bought it myself and it is a beautiful scent. The combination of the green bamboo and the tart citrus grapefruit is perfection. This to me smells like the ultimate spa scent. It's very green, crisp, and natural. This scent is a winner and I'll be purchasing it in a full-size melt for sure.

Better Homes & Gardens Autumn Afternoon Stroll (Golden Oak Leaves + Apples & Acorns)
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is one of the dual scent packs where you have two different scents and you can melt them together or separately. I melted these together and it was absolute fall bliss. The Golden Oak Leaves side has a very sharp woodsy and smoky note while the Apples & Acorns has an apple, spice, and nutty blend. I don't think I'd like these melted individually, but together they're amazing. Blended they have this perfect woodsy, apple spice, with this touch of campfire smokiness going on. I know that's a mouthful, but it's of those complex scents that thankfully less isn't more. It needs all of those elements to be so good.

Ten Digit Creations Tohrment
Scent Description: blend of lavender, jasmine, sandalwood, oak moss, and musk (Compare to Cool Water by Davidoff)
My Thoughts: I can't compare to the cologne because I don't have it, but this a nice scent. It's one of those fresh and crisp masculine scents. I like it enough, but I didn't find the throw to be so great. It had a strong throw if you were 2-4 ft away from it, but after that, I could only catch whiffs of it here and there.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 6/26/16-7/3/16
It was a fairly good week for wax. I didn't have a dud this week which is a nice change because I've had so many in recent weeks. I've also dabbled a bit into wintery scents this past week which is odd considering it is sweltering outside!
Better Homes & Gardens Cranberry Apple Martini
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I purchased this before Christmas time and when I sniffed it then I felt that it didn't smell like a winter scent. It was too fruity and bright. Well, when I melted it this past week I felt it wasn't really a summer scent either. This is more of a fall scent. That being said, it's really nice. It's strong on the cranberry, so it's a bit tart, but it also has this fruit punch vibe going on. It's a great scent, but I think I'll like it more in September than June/July!
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: N/A, it was limited edition during the holiday season, but it could reappear!
Ten Digit Creations Suds in the Bucket
Scent Description: fresh linens, lavender, and vanilla
My Thoughts: I'm a lavender fan, but I'm not a huge vanilla fan. This one was a gamble for me and I'd say I like it about 75%. I'd say this is about 70% vanilla/linen note and 30% lavender. I wish it were the other way around. It is a very nice clean scent. I melted it for a good 3-4 hours and then I started to find those vanilla/linen notes a bit overpowering. I do like this one, but it does have a time limit for me.

Ten Digit Creations Dragonfly
Scent Description: she smells of jasmine blooms, fresh air, and sunshine
My Thoughts: Jasmine is a scent people either love or hate. I love jasmine. I thought this scent was very strong as far as jasmine notes go. It's very fresh and floral. I do get a touch of an airy note to this and I wish that airy note had a bigger role. I do like this scent, but it could be mellowed out just a pinch.

Ten Digit Creations Blue Christmas
Scent Description: orange peels, cloves, fir needles, and cinnamon
My Thoughts: If I'm melting Christmas scents in July it's usually because I'm craving something cool and crisp. Blue Christmas fits that bill. It's a really nice blend of a bright citrus, wintery crisp air, and Christmas tree. I do detect a teensy bit of cinnamon, but it is very much in the background. This is the type of scent that remind of when you go outside on a very cold day during the holidays and take a deep breath in. It's so crisp, refreshing, and festive!

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 6/12/16-6/19/16
I'm running out of new wax to review! I'm scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find stuff to review lately. I'm somewhat in a bind too since I have a trip coming up and I'm trying to save money. I don't imagine I'll be buying new wax soon since there is nothing new in stores and vendor wax is more expensive. That being said, I did find some stuff to melt this week to share with you.
Colonial Candle Blue Spruce
Scent Description: This welcoming scent with notes of pine, winter greens, and woodsy amber is like a visit to the tree farm. Top - Aldehydic, Bergamot, Cranberry, Red Currant Middle - Pine Needles, Wintergreen, Clove, Cinnamon, Cypress Bottom - Balsam, Cedarwood, Amber
My Thoughts: I'm always hesitant with Christmas tree scents. I used to love them, but lately, I find them to be so heady and overwhelming. This one is actually nice. It really is a perfect blend of Christmas-tree notes and crisp winter air. Of all of the Christmas tree types spruce is my favorite. It's the brightest of all of those tree types. This scent is bright, fresh, and woodsy. I'm a fan.

Ten Digit Creations Herbal Essences
Scent Description: smells like the shampoo...slightly herbal, slightly fruity
My Thoughts: I've had this one sitting in a drawer for awhile because I was scared of it. I love Herbal Essences shampoo smell, but this wax on cold sniff was so strong I was afraid it would be too much when melted. I'm happy to report this wasn't the case. The scent dispersed nicely in in the room and wasn't overpowering in the least. This is a very clean scent that leaves just the right of amount of freshness in the air.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5

Better Homes & Gardens Farm Apple Pumpkin
Scent Description: Ripe and ready, farm fresh apples and pumpkins
My Thoughts: This is your quintessential fall scent. This is a nice blend trio of pumpkin, apple, and cinnamon. This scent doesn't go sugary sweet or into synthetic territory. It's a very natural scent that is very warm and rich. I was in the mood for it the other day, but quickly realized I prefer something a little brighter and fresher this time of year. That said, it does not diminish the quality of this scent, it's awesome! I'll just wait until September.

ScentSationals Mandarin Mango Madness
Scent Description: A tropical twist of ripe island mango nectar with sweet mandarin oranges, ruby red grapefruit and exotic dew fruit. So tempting, you can almost feel the madness!
My Thoughts: I knew on first sniff this would be a problem, but I put it in the melter anyways hoping for a different outcome. Mango scents (as well as peach) I've noticed are really hard to replicate in wax naturally. They tend to go musty. Instead of smelling like fresh fruit they smell like overripe moldy fruit. This was the case with Mandarin Mango Madness. Not nice. I quickly tossed this one out of the warmer.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 5/22/16-5/29/16
It has been a fairly good wax week. I'm definitely finding myself craving summer scents lately. I love fruity scents, but I'm incredibly picky about them. I hate sugary sweet candy scents, and I find a lot of fruity scents can go that direction. I prefer the more natural fruity scents or fruity drink scents (granted they don't get too sugary). It can be a lot of trial and error in finding the right fruity scents, but I did have some success this week.
Ten Digit Creations Fruit Slices
Scent Description: orange, grapefruit, strawberry, melon, peach, kiwi, and sugar crystals
My Thoughts: This is scent is fruity perfection. I love the blend of fruits in this scent blend and I don't find the sugar crystals aspect to take into a sickly sweet direction. This has a really nice natural tart and sweet fruit blend that has a nice throw. It reminds me a bit of a fruit punch type scent, but not a specific brand of fruit punch.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5

Better Homes & Gardens Sun Washed Poppies
Scent Description: An intriguing floral, fruity blend that opens with notes of sweet apple, pink raspberry and white pepper. A playful heart of rose petals, jasmine, and wild poppies leads into a sensuous comforting base of sandalwood and sun-washed musk.
My Thoughts: I'm so on the fence with this scent. I'd say I like it about 80%. This is going to be such a convoluted review. I really get the fruity and floral blend. The raspberry and poppy are most prominent. I do like this and had it melting all day, but I also don't like it. I think it's the poppy note. It's nice, but poppy can go a bit musty to me. It almost smells like an overripe peach or something. It's really not bad I swear, there is just this underlying "hmph" type thing going on if that makes any sense! I think some people will like it others will not.

Colonial Candle Caipirinha
Scent Description: Sip on Brazil's most popular cocktail with notes of sugar cane rum, honey, and lime. Top: Tangy Lemon, Bergamot - Middle: Cardamom, Currant, Orange Blossom - Bottom: Vanilla Bourbon, Musk
My Thoughts: I love citrus and I love bergamot. I especially love citrus drink blends. This one is really nice as it's very citrusy, sweet, and clean. It's not too sweet and is a really refreshing blend. The throw on this was inconsistent to me. I'd get a strong whiff of it here and there, but other times I really had to try to smell it.
Scent Throw: 2.5/5

Wilma's Fabuloso Type
Scent Description: Just like the lavender household cleaner. So good and so strong!
My Thoughts: I hate artificial scents (when it comes to artificial fruits and etc.), but I do love chemically laden smelling cleaning product scents. This smells exactly like Fabuloso and I love the smell of a freshly cleaned house with bleach and other chemically ridden cleaning products. This is awesome and the scent description is right it is strong, but in a good clean way. I did not find it overpowering. If you like cleaning product smell you'll like this, otherwise, stay away. In fact, I think this is a dupe to ScentSationals Lavender Glow.

Here are the new waxes I melted this week.
Colonial Candle Spring Awakening
Scent Description: Rejuvenate the energy of spring with a mixture of fresh apple, grapefruit, and sun dried cotton.
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this scent. I definitely get a strong green apple note from this which reminds a lot of the Suave Juicy Green Apple shampoo they've had for ages. That green apple note to my nose is paired with a blend of some type of light floral, greenery, and cotton notes. This is a really nice blend. It's very fresh and green. My only complaint is I wish it had a stronger throw.

Better Homes & Gardens By The Pool (Splash + Coconut)
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is another one of those duo packs you melt together. The "Splash" side smells like a a blend of salty ocean water, a light floral, and pineapple. The "Coconut" side smells like Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen, pretty much a blend of coconut and pineapple. These melted together smell exactly like how you smell after a day at the pool. You know when your skin smells like a mixture of sunscreen and chlorine? It's a pretty artificial smell, but it's nostalgic to me as it reminds me of the summers I used to live in the pool as a kid. I did tire of it after a few hours because those pineapple notes can get too sweet, but it's definitely a scent I would melt again. Not a favorite, but I like it enough.
Scent Throw: 4.5/5

ScentSationals Orchid Paradise
Scent Description: I hope heaven is like this
My Thoughts: Really ScentSationals? What kind of scent description is that? This is one of those scents that fooled me. On cold sniff, I got a fresh and crisp floral with maybe some sweet watery notes, when melted this overpowering powdery note came out. It smelled like scented baby powder. I really don't like powdery florals. I know violets are like that. I guess orchids are too? This one to me smelled really different on cold than when melted. It tricked me! I sure hope heaven doesn't smell like this.
Scent Throw: 4.5/5

Colonial Candle Harbor Mist
Scent Description: Treasure the clean scent of gentle florals, musk, and a touch of sweet pear.
My Thoughts: This is my kind of scent. This an amazing blend of ocean air, soft floral, slight fruity note, and hint of perfume. It really does match the description. I love fresh and clean scents like this with some added elements to make it special. My beef? This had a very light throw. It was very disappointing because it smells so great in the package. Bummer.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 3/6/16-3/13/16
Well, it was not a good week in wax. Almost everything I melted this week was either a dud or I didn't end up liking the scent. It happens! I didn't end up melting a lot of new stuff this week because of that. When you have bad one you just want to quickly go back to something reliable, so I did end up having a lot of re-melts this week.
AmbiEscents Hidden Lagoon & Waterfall
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This was my only winner this week. This is a very crisp and sweet water scent. I'd say it's prominently water with aloe and just the softest touch of men's cologne note in there. This is a very clean and fresh scent. I love water scents and this one is very satisfying. I'd say this is one of those scents that would be appeal to a lot of people.

Nicole's Home Accents Cabo Breeze
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: My boyfriend picked this one out. This smells like a men's deodorant or aftershave. It's heavy on the water and minty notes with some spicy notes thrown in. It's not a bad scent, but it's not a scent I want to have as a home fragrance. This is a scent I like my boyfriend to smell like, but not my house. There are just some types of scents I love in bath and body products, but don't appeal to me in home fragrance.

Better Homes & Gardens Hideaway in Paradise Mai Tai+Saltwater Sands Duo
Scent Description: An escape to the tropics with a delicious blend of fresh squeezed orange, apple slices and sundrenched peaches. Sugarcane and sangria add sweetness. The scent of sweet orange blossom and mandarin combined with waterlily, island florals and golden sand makes you feel like you never want to leave.
My Thoughts: I didn't know the scent description when I bought it, but found it online later. This description explains a lot to why I don't like this scent. There is just too much going on in this scent. This is a duo scent where one side is one scent and the other side is another scent. I have to say even individually there is too much going on. This just smells like a muddled mess. I can't detect singular notes and it's just too many florals and fruits blended together. It just smells very artificial. I really tried to like this one and hoped when melted it would be nice, but it's not!

Ten Digit Creations Lavender
Scent Description: a fresh herbal lavender aroma
My Thoughts: The scent description is perfect. This is my favorite lavender scent. I love herbal and soothing lavenders and this delivers on that aspect. Where this falls short for me is on throw. It's not weak, but it's not strong enough. I wanted to smell this throughout my living room, but was only able to catch whiffs of it here and there. I'm so disappointed because this is the best true to lavender scent I've found in wax, but it is sadly probably better suited to a smaller room.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/28/16-3/6/16
This was a near perfect week of wax. I think it would be rare for me to have a perfect week. When trying new things you're bound to come across something that isn't your favorite. Plus, with wax there are many variables, something may smell great in the package, but once you melt it could not have much throw. I hope I'll have a perfect wax week though, I'm just not sure that will happen!
ScentSationals Himalayan Pink Salt
Scent Description: An invigorating blend of eucalyptus and jasmine.
My Thoughts: This is a definite spa/clean scent, but unlike any others I have. I'm not really sure how to describe it. I'd say this a blend of a salty air note and floral. I'm not sure I really smell jasmine in this though. It's something sweet, but very fresh at the same time. I have no idea! It smells amazing to me though. I would say this would smell like a nice soap they'd have at a fancy beach resort. That is not descriptive, but that's where my mind takes me to when I smell it.

I really like this one, but I do not have much else to say about it other than I love it. If you like fruity floral bath and body products you'll most likely like this one too.

Candles by Victoria White Nectarine & Pink Coral
Scent Description: The luscious fruitiness of sweet peach, pineapple chunks and orange slices blended with enchanting floral notes of honeysuckle, rose and jasmine on a drydown of soft, soothing musk.
My Thoughts: What I love about this scent is how natural it is for a nectarine scent. Peach, nectarine, mango, and some other fruit scents in wax can go artificial and sickly. This one is perfect. It's a very fresh with a predominant nectarine note blended out with some light floral. This is definitely a feminine scent, but it's not a teen bubblegum scent nor is it an old lady powdery frilly scent. It's just a straight up nice fruit with floral blend. The word I'd use to best describe this scent is lovely.

I love this scent except that I could barely smell it when melting. This had a very weak throw which was so disappointing considering how much I like the scent.

Ten Digit Creations Cherry Almond
Scent Description: aroma of nutty almond and sweet ripe cherries
My Thoughts: No, this isn't a typical scent category for me, but I love this scent for nostalgic reasons. This smells just like the Jergens original lotion and hand wash scent. I remember they always used the Jergens hand wash on airplanes. When I was little and bored on the airplane, I basically went to the bathroom just so I could wash my hands and smell the soap. I loved the scent so much. It actually wasn't until years later I learned that the scent was cherry almond and it was Jergens. Despite this scent having foodie ingredients, it's actually a very clean and fresh scent. It's a perfect 50/50 on cherry and almond. I love this scent and brings back old travel memories!

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/21/16-2/28/16
I had lots of new wax to try this week. I will say this wasn't a great wax week. I think I had more duds this week than winners, but it was fun nonetheless. I'm adding a review category of "Scent Throw" to my write ups. Scent throw describes how strong the scent "throws" or spreads throughout the room. I'm basing this on a scale of 0-5. 0, being it has no throw and 5 being it has a very strong throw. I'm also continuing like last week to add my list of "Re-melts of the Week" at the end linked to my previous reviews.
ScentSationals Brazilian Waterfall
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This smells to me like Bath & Body Works Juniper Breeze. This is one of my favorite B&BW classic scents and adore the scent of this wax melt because of that similarity. It's a very fresh and crips blend of floral, green, and water. I am so very sad that this doesn't have strong throw though. I love this, but I could only get a few whiffs of it in the air when melting. This needed to be 50% stronger! This is scent I'd stock up on otherwise.

ScentSationals Lavender Glow
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This smells like a floral scented Lysol disinfectant spray or some other cleaning product. I don't get any lavender notes from this, it's more of just a nondescript floral scent mixed with a clean laundry scent. This is one is very strong. Strangely enough, I really like this scent. I think it's like walking into a freshly cleaned house. I know cleaning product scents are not for everyone though, and if you're sensitive to strong scents this is definitely not for you. The strange ones like me who like the smell of cleaning products would like this one though!

Ten Digit Creations Pink Lilac & Willow
Scent Description: lilac blossoms, blue willow, water lilies, and fresh greens
My Thoughts: Nope. This is just too floral for me, and not the kind of floral I really like best. I realize I'm more of a white floral (jasmine, orange blossom, honeysuckle, etc) person which are fresher and cleaner to me than other florals. The type of florals in these are just too frilly, powdery, very strong, and sweet. I prefer florals like this if they're blended with water notes to diffuse some of that floral. This is straight up frilly floral.

Better Homes & Gardens Exotic Coconut Quince
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is an oddball scent. I don't know what a quince is, but it's apparently a blend of an apple and pear as far as scent goes? I also usually hate coconut scents, but this one is a bit different. This smells exactly like Palmers Cocoa Butter to me. It has that cocoa butter lotion scent paired with just the slightest hint of some sort of a fruity tang. I was drawn to this scent initially, but after melting it it's just OK to me. It's not my favorite, and I don't dislike it either. It's a nice scent, it's just not usual fragrance I'd typically go for.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart
ScentSationals Rainy Day
Scent Description: Pure water lily and the warmth of white musk
My Thoughts: This smells similar to me to Fairy Hill's Ocean Blossom which is one of my favorite scents. This has that nice blend of water, air, and floral like FH Ocean Blossom. I would say the only difference is FH Ocean Blossom leans more to the fresh airy side whereas Rainy Day leans a bit more to the floral side. I love Rainy Day, but I do prefer FH OB a little bit more. That being said, it would really be hard to differentiate between the two unless you smell both of them directly. Also, Rainy Day is more readily available because you can get it at Walmart.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/14/16-2/21/16
I was able to find a lot of new spring/summer waxes this week, so I have new things to try! This was an interesting week in wax though, with new stuff there is always room for error and surprises.
Every week I melt new waxes to try, but I also often melt waxes I love that I have already reviewed. In an effort to make things easier on here and so many of my favorite waxes don't get forgotten, I'm going to list under my main review my "Re-melts of the Week". I'm going to list the waxes I melted this week that I've already reviewed along with a link to my original review.
Let's get started with this week's newbies!
ScentSationals Tropical Fuse
Scent Description: A tropical fruit melody (yes it says melody, not medley)
My Thoughts: There are a lot of tropical fruit mixes out there in wax. This one is different than others I've tried. It's hard to describe, but it's a blend of perhaps passion fruit, kiwi, a bit of floral, and some green notes. This is more of a fresh, clean, floral/fruity scent than a straight up fruity scent. It kind of smells like fancy body wash from Korres. It's a beautiful scent that I really love, but I didn't find it had a strong throw nor did the scent last very long. This could of been a star, but it fell flat when it comes to strength.
Where To Buy: Walmart
Better Homes and Gardens Fresh Veranda Breeze (Lemon+Jasmine)
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This one of the duo packs where there is the lemon scent on one side of the package and the jasmine scent on the other side and you blend them together. The lemon side on here is a very strong tart lemon and the jasmine is a very soft floral scent. I liked the combo of these as they both were very natural and fresh smelling. I do think the lemon is overpowering the jasmine here, and I wish it were more of a balance. This had a strong throw that lasted several hours.

Ten Digit Creations Innocent
Scent Description: zesty citrus notes of orange and lime blended with cognac
My Thoughts: This is supposed to be dupe to Lush's Celebrate. I haven't smelled that so I can't compare, but I do adore this scent. This has an amazing citrusy fresh note paired with a clean soapy note. I find this scent to be very feminine and soft also. It's hard to describe, but it's a definite fancy bath & body product type scent. This had a strong throw that lasted several hours.
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations
ScentSationals Love Letters
Scent Description: Cedarwood, vanilla, and almond
My Thoughts: This has all the notes of the type of scent I hate, woodsy, sweet, and foodie. I was drawn to this scent though because it smells like new book smell. The whole "letter" part of this scent name is accurate. It smells like paper. This is like Barnes & Noble in a bottle. That being said, I liked this for a few hours, but those woodsy and sweet smells started to tire on me quickly. Many people love woodsy scents with vanilla in them, so I think this would a popular one. I can only do these scents in small doses. It had a great throw.
Where To Buy: Walmart
ScentSationals Papagayo Beach
Scent Description: It's time to get away
My Thoughts: What kind of non-scent description is that? Worthless! This is a strange one. It smells nothing like you'd expect it to based on the packaging and the name. There is nothing beachy about this in the least. This smells like a cranberry martini. It's a tart cranberry smell paired with wine/alcohol type scent. This is holiday scent to me. I don't hate it or dislike it, it's just the type of scent I want this time of year, and it's package full of lies. I wanted a beachy/fresh scent and I got Christmas cheer.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/7/16-2/14/16
I had a fairly good wax week this week. I didn't get around to melting any indie/vendor wax, so it's all retail wax you can find in stores. I had quite a few pleasant surprises!
Better Homes & Gardens Serene Spa Resort
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is a really nice blend of a cologne, sea salt, water, and clean scent. The cologne note in it is well balanced between the other notes and isn't overpowering. I really like this blend. It's refreshing, clean, and crisp. It's one of those scents I see as being universally flattering. I think it would appeal to many tastes. This has an excellent throw that lasted over 24 hours for me.
Where To Buy: Walmart
Mainstays Tahitian Sunset
Scent Description: Crushed orange peel, fruity paradise mango and sugared papaya gleam with the warm essence of ambered mango wood, salted sands, smooth cedar, earthy patchouli and Twilight musk
My Thoughts: This is wonderfully juicy scent balanced out with some rich woodsy notes. I really hate woodsy scents, but the blend of the fruit notes with the woodsy ones really creates a lovely combination. It's like a sophisticated tropical scent. There isn't any coconut to this either which is a major plus! This had a nice throw for several hours.
Where To Buy: Walmart
Mainstays Peach & Mango
Scent Description: Fruity notes of sweet mango and fresh papaya swirl with accents of juicy apricot and ripe guava fruit, wrapped in floral highlights of island jasmine and golden ylang ylang
My Thoughts: Remember last week's BHG White Peach Mango? This is what that should of been. This is exactly what I want in peach scent. This is fresh, natural, fruity, and refreshing. There isn't a hint of anything artificial, musty, or noxious in this scent. It's a very pleasant scent. This had great throw for several hours. If you like peach scents please pick this one over the BHG one!
Where To Buy: Walmart
Living Colors Coastal Breeze
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is unlike any other ocean themed scent I own. It is really hard to describe because of that. I'd say this is a blend of a light clean laundry note, a grassy green note, a faint cologne note, and perhaps like a sandy/beachy note? All the notes are evenly balanced and it really is a unique scent. It definitely reads as an ocean scent, it just is different than what I'm used to from those types of scents. I do really like it though! This didn't have the greatest throw, but was average for a few hours.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 1/31/16-2/7/16
I did have some success this week at finding new wax. It looks like my Walmart is finally getting in some of the spring/summer scents. Thank goodness! I think you can tell from my wax selection this week that I'm over fall/winter scents for sure. I'm enjoying the colder weather, but I'm over colder weather scents!
ScentSationals Cucumber Melon
Scent Description: Refreshingly cool & crisp
My Thoughts: I've mentioned before I like melon scents. This is no exception. I find a lot of fruity scents too sweet for me, but melon scents always have that refreshing watery note to them that keeps them in check. This is a very fresh melon scent paired with watery and crisp cucumber. It's the perfect balance of sweet and fresh. This had a strong throw that lasted several hours.
Where To Buy: Walmart or ScentSationals website.
Chesapeake Bay Candle Paradise Flower
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I've had hit or miss results with this brand. This one was average throw for me. The scent of this to me smelled like a blend of pineapple, some floral, and watery note. There maybe the slightest bit of coconut in there too. This has a really nice fresh tropical scent. My issue with this is that slight coconut touch. Coconut scents always come off artificial to me and so does this one. It doesn't ruin this scent for me completely, but it's certainly not winning any gold stars. Tropical scents don't all have to have coconut in them!
Where To Buy: Target
Ten Digit Creations Night Shift
Scent Description: soft lavender and tonka
My Thoughts: I like lavender scents and this is on the scale of a sweet lavender rather than a herbal one. I prefer herbal lavenders, but I do enjoy some softer lavender scents. I'm on the fence about Night Shift. It really does smell like a lavender macaroon or some bakery type lavender. I'm not a bakery fan, but I do like the lavender. It's OK, but not one I'd repurchase. This had moderate throw.

Better Homes & Gardens White Peach Mango
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I adored this one cold sniff. I feel like mango and peach scents can sometimes get musty or be very artificial. This was a very fresh and bright blend of peach and mango on cold sniff. When I melted this one it was POTENT and it changed from being fresh and bright to nauseating and artificial. I so badly wanted to like this one, but it was just way too strong and way too fake. First impressions can be deceiving!
Where To Buy: Walmart
ScentSationals Sea Glass
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: I wish this one had a scent description because it's so hard to describe. There is a definite salty and watery ocean note in here paired with some type of floral. Ocean scents are my favorite so I like this one. It's very fresh and pleasant. I can't say it's entirely original, but I don't have anything that smells exactly like it either. It doesn't have the "it factor" like TDC Sea Salt & Ocean Breezes, but it's nice and it will remain in my rotation. This had a nice throw for several hours.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 1/3/16-1/10/16
It's been a short wax week for me since I have family in town. I'm out and about more, so I don't melt as much. I do think I had a pretty successful wax week though!
Bunch Candle Co. Peppermint & Eucalyptus
Scent Description: Invigorating blend with peppermint, patchouli, cedar wood and eucalyptus
My Thoughts: The peppermint is the strongest note in here, and that's all I could really smell for the first couple hours of melting. I love peppermint though so I don't have any complaints. I'd say around the 5-6 hour mark the peppermint died down and the other notes came out. The eucalyptus, patchouli, and cedar wood added a really nice and subtle masculine note to the entire blend. I liked this one!
Ten Digit Creations Cool Citrus Basil
Scent Description: fresh and clean aroma of sweet basil, lime, and wild mint
My Thoughts: This scent had a lot of my favorite elements in it. I love clean, citrus, and herbal scents and all together this was really nice. It smells like a fancy shampoo you get treated to at the salon. It's crisp, clean, and refreshing.
ScentSationals Starry Sky
Scent Description: Crisp evening night skies form a clean, fresh scent with a spice of myrrh.
My Thoughts: This is a nice woodsy, clean, cologne type blend. I liked this one melting at first, but it got old after awhile. I like the clean and cologne notes in here, but there is a woodsy sweetness in there that puts me off after awhile. I don't hate this, but it's not one I like to melt for too long.
Better Homes and Gardens Salt Water Winds
Scent Description: N/A
My Thoughts: This is probably one of the strongest wax melts I own. This is one I melt after cooking onions. It will knock the onion scent right out! It's a mix to me of a salty ocean air with a strong laundry note. This maybe a bit harsh to some, but I like it. It's a powerful sucker and perfect when you really need to freshen up a room.
