Black Cat Lacquer Demeter

I have a pretty polish from Black Cat Lacquer to share with you today. I recently was gifted some Black Cat Lacquer's in a gift exchange that were on my wishlist. I've been trying to step up my indie game this year. I'm pretty slow at it, I admit, but I'm enjoying all that I've picked up. This color is no exception.

Demeter
Demeter is a pastel teal crelly base with teal holographic glitters.

Collection: Black Cat Lacquer Goddess Collection Spring 2014

Color: This is beautiful softened and muted teal shade. I love this color! I also love that it's a crelly glitter. Crelly glitters and jelly glitters are my favorite. I like how the glitter coincides with this base. This a beautiful glitter polish, but it's more subtle than multi-colored glitters.

Formula: Excellent and easy to use formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This is $9 on the Black Cat Lacquer website.

Overall: Demeter is a beautiful glitter crelly polish. I love the color. The formula is great. I love that it's a simpler glitter, but still has the bling factor. I really gravitate toward colors like this because they give me the glitz, but don't go overboard.

Black Cat Lacquer Nocturne

I've been trying to brand out into more indies this year, and I've been so impressed with my finds. I don't know how all of you indie fans keep track of so many out there. There are just so many and so many are excellent. I wish I had endless money, that would make the whole indie things a lot easier. This next polish from Black Cat Lacquer is one I'm really liking!

Nocture
Nocturne is a black jelly filled with gold holo glitters with gold shimmer.

Collection: Black Cat Lacquer Fall 2014

Color: I love black and gold together. In fact, as you may know, I love gold with pretty much any color. I think gold is so underdone when it comes to glitters and shimmers. It's typically always colors paired with silver glitters or shimmer. I love the combination of color here especially with the gold holographic glitter.

Formula: I have to be honest I wasn't expecting to be impressed here, but I was. Black jellies with glitters tend to have funky/messy formulas or the base drowns out the glitter. None of that here at all. This formula was perfect. The ratio of base to glitter was balanced perfectly, and I was able to apply this effortlessly. No digging for glitters or dabbing polish at all.

Price: This is $9 on the Black Cat Lacquer website.

Overall: I'm very impressed with Nocturne. It's an fabulous jelly glitter. I love the color combination and the formula blew me away. Awesome polish!

Black Cat Lacquer Artemis

I have a new to me indie brand to share with you today. Keep in mind, this brand isn't new, it's just new to my stash! I was perusing Black Cat Lacquer's website a little while ago and saw quite a few polishes that caught my eye. I ended up receiving a few in a recent gift exchange, and have been really impressed with them. This is one of the ones I received.

Artemis
Artemis is a sky blue crelly (creme + jelly)  base with pastel blue holo glitters.

Collection: Black Cat Lacquer Goddess Collection Spring 2014

Color: I find crellies like this harder to find. It's easy to find very pale or white crellies with contrasting glitters. I love the monochromatic look of this medium toned blue with similarly toned glitter. It's not a subtle at all like you might think. It's a beautiful glittery polish. This shade of blue is perfect too.

Formula: Excellent and superb formula. I typically have application and formula issues with crellies. This was a breeze. This applied so easily, and I had no trouble getting the glitters on my nail. This was a perfectly blended and balanced nail polish.

Price: This is $9.00 on the Black Cat Lacquer website.

Overall: Artemis is an excellent polish. I love the color and look of the glitter. I don't make my way around many indies, and this is one I'm so pleased I have tried. I am very impressed with all aspects of this polish. Black Cat Lacquer is a definitely a brand I will be re-visiting!
