ILNP Pink Mimosa

I've been very much in creme territory lately. I can't enough cremes and they're all I've been wearing for over a month now. I decided to break it up though when I saw this untried beauty in my stash from ILNP. Sometimes picking out what to paint my nails can be daunting. I have so many colors and sometimes I just can't decide. When I saw this color I didn't even have to think twice.

Pink Mimosa
Pink Mimosa is a super feminine rose toned nail polish packed with bright silver flakes, vivid pink shimmer, and an incredible holographic sparkle.

Collection: ILNP Summer 2015

Color: Wow! This is such a stunner. Sometimes it takes an ILNP polish to remind me just how great bling and holo are. There isn't another brand out there that really can do a finish like this. I love this icy rose shade. It pops against my skin tone while still having that touch of softness because of the pink.

Formula: This had an excellent 2 coat formula. This was smooth and easy to apply.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website

Overall: This is an amazing polish. This is a part of the Ulta Metallic line and that certainly fits. The shine in this is so reflective and that holo is icing on the cake. I am in absolutely in love with this polish. It's perfection.

Lacquistry Amazeballz (Original)

Happy Christmas Eve all! I have an amazing polish to share with you today, or shall I say Amazeballz? This polish has been out over a year, but I didn't really become aware of it until a couple months ago. It was one of those polishes I knew in an instant had to be mine. You'll see why, it's pretty much the blingiest nail polish I now own.

Amazeballz
Amazeballz is a super fine and intesnely reflective gold metal flake(?).

Collection: Released by Lacquistry I believe in 2013

Color: I've seen swatches of this on various people, and sometimes this reads as a silver. This is a gold polish. It as a pale gold though, so I do find it flattering if you're someone who might clash with gold tones. This is blindingly sparkly. I'm not joking, you have to be careful with your eyes with this one in bright light. That being said, this is super sparkly in dim lighting too. Like I said before, this is the blingiest nail polish I own. If you like sparkle, you need this.

Formula: The formula on this was really nice. It wasn't chunky or thick. I used 3 coats above. You can see my nail a bit underneath in the photo, but in real life this is so shiny you don't see the nail underneath.

*Side Note: On formula, I have the original formula. There are multiple formulations of Amazeballz in Fine, Extra, Fine, A Blended Family, Chunky Ballz, and Holo. These formulations are all based on the size of the metallic particles used or in the case of Holo, micro holo particles are added. Please check out Lacquistry's Etsy page to determine which one you like best!

Price: This was $15.00 on Lacquistry's Etsy page. Yes, this is pricey, but based on the quality and the materials used it makes since. This isn't a glitter or a normal metallic glitter flake, this is something better and special! Well worth it.

Overall: Amazeballz is definitely one for the nail polish history books. I don't own a polish like this at all with that has this strong of a shine factor. Impressive. I'm just sad I'm late to the party, had this been released this year, it would of been on my Top 25 of 2014 for sure. That being said though, it is a definite favorite polish of all time, and a MUST HAVE!

Silly Bee's Chickadees Glitter For Good Duo

*The following products were received in exchange for an honest review.

I have a beautiful nail polish duo the share with you today by Silly Bee's Chickadees. Silly Bee's Chickadees has come up with an excellent quarterly campaign called Glitter for Good. Every quarter Silly Bee's Chickadees will choose a different organization to benefit from Glitter for Good.

This quarter the organization is Tumaini Children's Village. Tumaini Children's Village is an orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya. Melissa, the founder of Silly Bee's Chickadees found out about it through a sorority sister whose daughter, Grace , volunteers there. Every bottle sold of this quarterly collection, $1 will be donated to Tumaini Children's Village.

This collection has 2 polishes which can be purchased in full sized bottles for $10 each or a trio set that includes 2 minis of the polishes and a mini bottle of gold caviar beads. These will all be available November 1st.

On to the polishes! After my review I'll posting more information on Glitter for Good and Tumaini Children's Village.

Grace, Faith & Hope
Grace, Faith, & Hope is a dark blue violet matte polish with gold shimmer.

Glitter for Good over Grace, Faith, & Hope
Glitter for Good is a clear top coat with yellow gold flakes.

Color: These are beautiful colors. I love the shade of purple in Grace, Faith, & Hope. I also adore cool-toned colors paired with warm metals. I absolutely adore the gold shimmer added, and the golden flakes in Glitter for Good are beautiful too.

Formula: Excellent formula on each of these. They were very easy to apply and I did not have any issues. I used 2 coats of Grace, Faith, & Hope and 1 coat over the base of Glitter for Good.

Price: Full size bottles will be $10 each. The mini trio set I mentioned above will be $15. These will be available November 1st on Silly Bee's Chickadees etsy shop.

Overall: Beautiful mini collection here. These are standout colors and very well made. The icing on the cake though is Silly Bee's Chickadees absolute charitable and giving nature. I admire not only for her beautiful polishes but generous heart. It means a lot to me when others donate money or time to charitable causes.

ABOUT TUMAINI
The 2014 Glitter for Good nonprofit: Tumaini Children’s Village

Through the rest of 2014, $1 from every bottle sold will go directly to support the good work of Tumaini.

Tumaini, which means "hope" in Swahili, provides just that for children who may otherwise be living on the street and turning to crime and drug abuse to survive. The home is a safe environment where children can grow and learn to become productive members of society.

Founded in 2010, Tumaini is located in Soy, northwest of Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. Currently, the orphanage is home to approximately 70 children, ages 6 to 13 in six houses, each watched over by houseparents.

I learned about Tumaini through my sorority sister, whose teenage daughter volunteers there during the summer. I am continuously inspired by young people who serve to make our world a better place. Grace is one of those amazing, selfless young people.

Of her experiences, Grace says, "I love helping out at the orphanage in Kenya and it makes me realize how blessed I really am and to never take anything for granted. These kids are so well behaved and so appreciative of what they have been given and I am lucky enough to get the chance to meet them. I see the smiles on these faces and I know they are in the right place and are grateful for what little they have."

Thank you, Grace, for being an awesome human and sharing your love of children with us!

Royal Polish California Heat Collection

*The following products were sent to me in exchange for my honest review.

I have for you a really pretty collection from Royal Polish today. This collection is called California Heat. You know how I mentioned the popularity of the those pastel bright shades this season? California Heat collection has some colors that definitely fit that bill!

Surfer Girl
Surfer Girl is bright mid-tone pink creme. (2 coats)

Melting Popsicle
Melting Popsicle is a bright peach creme.  (2 coats)

Take Me To The Ocean
Take Me To the Ocean is a bright sea foam green creme.

Ocean Air, Sand In My Hair over Surfer Girl
Ocean Air, Sand In My Hair is a mix of hot pink, blue, aqua, purple, and holographic glitter in a clear base. (2 coats)

Beach Bum
Beach Bum is a yellow-toned nude subtle linear holo. (2 coats)

Summer Breeze
Summer Breeze is a mix of blue, pink, and purple flakes in a clear base. (3 coats)

Colors: There are some excellent colors here. I love the saturation of the pastel bright shades. These colors are rich and in your face! The glitter, flake, and holo are nice contrast to the brights and make a cohesive and fun collection.

Formula: I'm going to break this down polish by polish because there were some noteworthy things about most.
Surfer Girl- Smooth and easy to use formula. This applied flawlessly in 2 coats. This color stains nails, so double up on base coat
Melting Popsicle- Exactly same formula as Surfer Girl except no staining.
Take Me To The Ocean- Superb formula. One coat wonder!!!! So impressed!
Ocean Air, Sand In My Hair- For the most part the glitters applied nicely, but I was unable to get the larger circle glitters out of the bottle. I feel this maybe due to it being a mini bottle. Bottles being purchased are full size, so results may vary.
Beach Bum- Smooth easy to use 2 coat formula.
Summer Breeze- Sheer, and will require 3-4 coats to achieve 80% opacity, but this is meant to have a sheerer final look or be applied over a base.

Price: I'm breaking this down again as these have varied prices. These are all sold in 13.2ml bottles and can be purchased on Royal Polish's site.
Surfer Girl, Melting Popsicle, and Take Me To The Ocean- $6.75
Ocean Air, Sand In My Hair and Summer Breeze- $9.75
Beach Bum- $11.00

Overall: This is a beautiful collection. I very much enjoyed the bright pastel cremes, Surfer Girl, Melting Popsicle, and Take Me To The Ocean. These are standout shades to me as far as color and formulation. I haven't found pastel cremes with formula as nice as these. The glitter, flake, and holo round out the collection with a little bling and fun.

Zoya Maria-Luisa

I love something different in nail polish collections. I love gold toppers too. Zoya's Maria-Luisa was an awesome surprise for me in their recent fall collection. This is a gold topper that is unlike anything I own, it's so cool and different.

Maria-Luisa over Zoya Caitlin
Maria-Luisa are gold semi-translucent flakes in a clear base.

Color: Amazing! This is not your standard gold opaque flakes, gold shreds, or gold glitter. The flakes in Maria-Luisa have some translucence. These flakes really give an unique antiqued look to the base polish. This so so interesting!!!

Formula: Great formula. The formula was easy to use and applied nicely.

Price: This is $9.00 on the Zoya website.

Overall: You need this. I think this is one of the coolest polishes I've come across this year. This all means I'm calling it a must have and adding it as a contender for my Top 20 of 2013 (Zoya is really hitting it out of the park!). I love the unique finish this has, and it's nothing like I've seen before. I am so impressed!
