ILNP Sandy Baby

Sandy Baby is a subtle and sophisticated peach beige jelly.

Collection: ILNP Spring Jellies 2016

Color: This is a perfect my nails but better with some added glam type of shade. I'm in love with the color and it's made a home for itself on my makeup vanity because I'm using it so much. It's a great shade if you want a clean, fresh, and sleek look on your nails.

Formula: This formula is sheer but it works for a polish like this. I used 3 coats above. What I like about the sheerness of this polish and the color is that it will be very forgiving if I'm wearing it for several days. If I get some tip wear or a tiny chip it won't be as noticeable as if I wore a creme.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: I love Sandy Baby. It's the perfect go-to nail polish when you want a clean and natural look on your nails that still offers a touch of bling. I really adore ILNP soft jellies shades and I will be stocking up on more. This polish is perfection!

NYX Sweet Sin

Today, I have an NYX polish to share with you. NYX polishes are sold on their website or their retail stores only which is unfortunate because they really make some great polishes. I wish they were more readily available!

Sweet Sin
Sweet Sin is a purple-gray mauve with a bronze shimmer.

Collection: NYX Core

Color: Yes! I love this color. This is an awesome neutral purple paired with a gorgeous fiery bronze shimmer. I love this color combination. I don't see colors like this often I appreciate NYX having it in their line up.

Formula: This had a nice a smooth formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This is $5 on the NYX website or in a NYX store.

Overall: Excellent polish. I adore this color and that bronze shimmer. The formula was great and the price was awesome too. I just wish they sold NYX polishes in other stores.

Nails Inc. Sparkle Like A Unicorn Duo

* I received the following in exchange for my honest review.

Nails Inc. recently kindly sent me their new Sparkle Like a Unicorn Duo to review. The whole "unicorn" theme has been very on trend lately. I'm surprised it wasn't a trend before because the nail polish community has been unicorn-ing it up for the past few years! This duo features two sparkly, .magical, and unicorn-riffic shades.

Rainbow Wishes
Rainbow Wishes is a soft lavender base with a strong blue shimmer flash.

Dream Dust
Dream Dust is a soft pink with a fiery golden foil finish.

Collection: Sparkle Like a Unicorn

Colors: These colors are great and fit the unicorn theme. I love the lit-from-within glow in Rainbow Wishes. The shimmer in there is strong and lights up on your nails. Dream Wishes is an amazing foil. You know I love foil polishes and I don't see them done in nail polish in recent years. It looks like liquid metal on your nails. Both of these shades are stunning!

Formula: These both had excellent formulas. I used 2 coats for each. They were opaque and applied smoothly and easily.

Price: This duo is $15.00 and can be purchased at Nails Inc. or Sephora. That's typically the price for one Nails Inc. polish. You get them both for $15.00. That's a steal!

Overall: You need this duo. They're gorgeous shades and beautifully made. The formulas were great and you can't beat that $15.00 price!

Sally Hansen Therapewter

One of the first things that caught my eye in the new year was Sally Hansen's new Color Therapy line of polishes. I can't say Sally Hansen has done much to impress me in recent years, but this Color Therapy line has impressed me. I reviewed Steely Serene back in January. The colors in this line are not the most unique compared to indie standards, but they are some high-quality polish with excellent wear time from my experience. I have one of the more glitzy colors to share with you today.

Therapewter
Therapetwer is a slightly green-tinged silver foil with sparse gold and bronze flakes.

Collection: Sally Hansen Color Therapy Core 2017

Color: This is actually a really unique color to me. I love the foil-like metallic finish and in this great silvery with just a hint of green neutral shade. It's not a flat color either there are sparse little gold and bronze flakes throughout that give this color some dimension. It's gorgeous and definitely a great go-to color when you're not sure of something to wear.

Formula: This had a smooth and easy to use formula. It is sheer on the first coat but builds up opaquely and easily in 3 coats. I've worn both Steely Serene and Therapewter more than once for full manis and did get a solid 6 days of wear out of both without any chips. This line wears so well on me!

Price: You can find this in the $6.70-$8.00 range at Target, Walmart, Ulta, and drugstores. Look for drugstore deals on these though!

Overall: This is a beautiful and complex color. I absolutely adore it and the other colors in this line. These are really well made and have excellent long-wearing formulas. I'm really impressed and plan to add more of these to my collection.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Chlorine Light

* I received the following product in exchange for my honest review.

I have another blue Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer polish to share with you today. Julie and I collaborated together in the latest Color Box and created Niagara Sunrise. She makes gorgeous polishes and certainly has a knack for blues. She kindly sent me some of her blue polish to review. This next one is great bright blue holo.

Chlorine Light
Chlorine Light is a bright blue linear holographic with rainbow micro-flakies with a slight metallic finish..

Collection: Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Far From The Sun 2014

Color: I love the name of this polish because it truly is a swimming pool-like blue.  It's a crisp, clean, and bright blue and those flakies and holo make it come alive. This is a winning a blue!

Formula: This had an excellent and easy to use formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: You can purchase a 10ml mini for $6.00 or a 14ml full size for $12.00 on Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's website.

Overall: This is a gorgeous blue holo. I love this bright blue shade that is very reminiscent of spring and summer and days at the pool. The holo and flakes are great added touch that gives this polish more depth and complexity. The formula was awesome too. No complaints.

China Glaze I Sea The Point

Over the past few months, I've been revisiting old nail polish collections. I notice a common theme with me is that when some colors are released I don't have any interest in them but a few years later they're right up my alley. I had to make a purchase over at Head2ToeBeauty and decided to look through their old China Glaze collections to see if anything peaked my interest now. I ended up picking up a handful of colors including this one from 2014!

I Sea The Point
I Sea The Point is a bright blue creme.

Collection: China Glaze Off Shore 2014

Color: I know why I didn't get this back in 2014. Bright blues like this were all the rage then and I'm sure I felt comfortable I had enough bright blues. What's funny is that hasn't changed. I still have enough bright blues, but since bright blues haven't been as on trend they haven't been in the forefront of my mind as much, so I needed this one too now. This is vibrant and bright. I love blues like this and I'm sure this is number 25+ bright blue in my collection 😂.

Formula: This had a nice and easy to use formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: I paid $3.25 for this on Head2ToeBeauty.

Overall: This is a great bright blue polish. Blues like this are always winning colors in my opinion and I still can't get enough of them. You won't be disappointed in this one!

Fresh Paint Purple Rain

I have a Fresh Paint polish to share with you today. This a brand that can be found at Five Below. If you've been following me a little while you know I've been a fan of these polishes. I think they make excellent cremes and for a great price. I picked up this one a little awhile ago.

Purple Rain
Purple Rain is a dusty orchid creme.

Color: Remember Pantone's 2014 Color of the Year Radiant Orchid? This is what this color reminds me of just a hint more muted and dusty. I adore colors like this and I've really been into dusty/muted colors lately. I think they really do read as neutrals which make them so versatile. This is a gorgeous purple color and I'm in love with it!

Formula: This had an excellent and smooth formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: Fresh Paint polishes are 3 for $5 at Five Below, so why buy one when you can buy 3 for the price that is less than one mainstream polish!

Overall: This is a beautiful color. I love the dustiness of this purple shade and I think it's a winning polish!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer A Long Time Ago Tomorrow

*I received the following product in exchange for my honest review.

I had the pleasure of working with Julie from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer for the most recent Color Box. In addition to making a beautiful color for that box, she kindly sent me a handful of her polishes for me to try and review. I have one of those colors she sent to me to share with you today. It's a real stunner!

A Long Time Ago Tomorrow
A Long Time Ago Tomorrow is a sheer tardis blue base filled with bright blue flakies with a subtle pink shift.

Collection: Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer It Got Away From Me, Yeah... 2014

Color: This is a rich and beautiful blue. Tardis blue is definitely one of my favorite blues shades. What I love most about this is the finish. Those flakies even though they're in the same color family as the base really glow and stand out against it. This color really has a beautiful bejeweled look to it.

Formula: This formula was sheer and thin with a satin finish. I needed 4 coats to get the opacity I liked. However, because of this type of formula, it dried quickly between coats so the application was a breeze. Usually, the more coats the more likely you are to have dragging or thickening. This was not the case with this polish. I know 4 coats is a lot for many people, but they truly were effortless thanks to this type of formulation.

Price: This is $12 on Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's site.

Overall: I'm really impressed with this polish. It looked pretty amazing in the bottle, but it looked even better on the nail. I love the vibrancy of this blue with those bright flakies and I appreciate the thoughtfulness put into this formula to make sure it performed its best.

Cirque Garnet

I've had Cirque polish on my "to try" list for years. It's probably the one brand that's been on there the longest that I never had ended up getting around to. I still haven't gotten around to it as I haven't purchased any myself.  I was gifted some recently during a Secret Santa gift exchange and I'm happy to finally have some! This was one of the colors I received.

Garnet
Garnet is an opulent burgundy with holographic flakes.

Collection: Cirque Facets Collection 2016 (Limited Edition)

Color: I love a rich red like Garnet. Red is one of my favorite colors in nail polish despite it being rather traditional. I love the depth and richness of this color and the bejeweled look it has with the holographic flakes.

Formula: This was a standout formula. I think most nail polish formulas I come across these days are good but just good. They do the job, not complaints. This formula stood out as exceptional. It had this almost gel-like formula. It was really opaque and applied so smoothly. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This can be purchased at Live Love Polish for $13.00.

Overall: This is a beautifully polish and beautifully made too. I love the jewel-toned of this color and the holo flakies. The formula was amazing and I'm really impressed with this brand so far.

Kokie Cosmic Dust

I have another Kokie Cosmetics polish to share with you today. This color immediately caught my eye, but I was hesitant to purchase it because it reminded me a lot of Zoya Yuna. I don't like buying dupes, but I couldn't help myself from really needing this polish either. It was just so striking in the bottle, so I took a gamble! Turns out, it was a good gamble because they're not dupes. I have a comparison below too.

Cosmic Dust
Cosmic Dust is a deep smoky grey with gold and silver glass fleck glitter.

Collection: Kokie Cosmetics Core

Color: They're not dupes and they're really not that similar either. Kokie's Cosmic Dust doesn't have the blue-tone of Zoya Yuna. Cosmic Dust also has silver and gold glass fleck glitter and it's much more intense than Yuna's. I love this color! I love how it's jam-packed with glass fleck glitter. It gives creates a lot of interest while still being a smooth polish.

Formula: This had an excellent formula. It was smooth, buttery, and easy to apply. I used 2 coats above.

Price: I paid $5.99 for this at the Christmas Tree Shop. This is also available at Bed Bath & Beyond locations that feature a Harmon cosmetics section or on the Kokie Cosmetics website.

Overall: I know on my last post on this brand, I enjoyed it but wasn't too keen on the price. I thought it was a bit too pricey for drugstore, but this polish changed my mind. This was a really well made and beautifully thought out polish. It's a definitely step up from the Sinful Colors range in innovation and formulation, so I think it does warrant the $5.99 price tag. I just wish this was available in more stores. I think this would be a brand that nail polish addicts and the general public would appreciate.

ILNP Pink Mimosa

I've been very much in creme territory lately. I can't enough cremes and they're all I've been wearing for over a month now. I decided to break it up though when I saw this untried beauty in my stash from ILNP. Sometimes picking out what to paint my nails can be daunting. I have so many colors and sometimes I just can't decide. When I saw this color I didn't even have to think twice.

Pink Mimosa
Pink Mimosa is a super feminine rose toned nail polish packed with bright silver flakes, vivid pink shimmer, and an incredible holographic sparkle.

Collection: ILNP Summer 2015

Color: Wow! This is such a stunner. Sometimes it takes an ILNP polish to remind me just how great bling and holo are. There isn't another brand out there that really can do a finish like this. I love this icy rose shade. It pops against my skin tone while still having that touch of softness because of the pink.

Formula: This had an excellent 2 coat formula. This was smooth and easy to apply.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website

Overall: This is an amazing polish. This is a part of the Ulta Metallic line and that certainly fits. The shine in this is so reflective and that holo is icing on the cake. I am in absolutely in love with this polish. It's perfection.

Zoya Debbie

I was really excited when I found out Zoya was releasing another Naturel collection. Before, I got into my nude/neutral kick I was never interested in previous collections, but lately, I've been making up for lost time picked quite a few up during the Black Friday sale. The Naturel 3 collection was released after the fact but during a recent sale I picked up one of the new colors.

Debbie
Debbie is a plum brown creme.

Collection: Zoya Naturel 3 2016

Color: I was really curious about this color because on some people it pulls more brown and others it pulls more purple. I was hoping for the latter with me and I'm happy that's the result I got. I think it will depend on your skin tone which way it will pull for you. It's really an interesting color that I love. It's rich and deep but still very neutral. I like how Zoya explores deeper neutral tones.

Formula: Excellent 2 coat formula. This was very smooth and buttery to apply.

Price: This is $10 on the Zoya website.

Overall: I love Debbie it's a beautiful rich shade that neutral and still can go with everything. The formula was excellent and I really appreciate Zoya's take on deep neutral shades. This is one I definitely recommend especially if you're someone who is just dabbling into neutral shades. This one gives you the richness that a lot of nude/neutral shades don't have.

Sally Hansen Steely Serene

I have one of the polishes from the new Sally Hansen Color Therapy collection. This Color Therapy line includes argan oil that nourishes and moisturizes nails. It's not only a nail polish, but a treatment too. I can't make claims on the treatment factor. I use a treatment base coat by Sally Hansen's called  Nail Rehab Rx as a base coat already, so my nails have been in good shape prior.

I will say, I don't normally test out wear time before I swatch them for the blog. There are just too many factor that can contribute to that, however, this polish has some serious staying power. I was really impressed. This may not be the case for everyone (the whole many factors part), but it certainly caught my eye.

Steely Serene
Steely Serene is a medium putty (grey-nude-purple) creme.

Collection: Sally Hansen Color Therapy 2017

Color: I LOVE this color. You know I'm still on the nude-neutral train and this is an amazing neutral shade. It's a very chic and flattering color. I could easily wear this all the time and it would go with everything and always look classy.

Formula: This had a smooth and easy to apply formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: I paid around $7-$8 for this at Target.

Overall: This wore like iron on me as well as another color from the line. I got around 6 full days of wear time with this without any chips. No chips at all. I had some tip wear and my nails grew out a bit on the bottoms, but no chips! I was shocked and very impressed. That on top of the gorgeous color and formula makes this a great polish. I highly recommend this color or at least trying a polish from this line.

KBShimmer Office Space Collection (Full)

* I received 4 of these polishes exchange for my honest review. I purchased the other 4 in this collection.

I have the new KBShimmer Office Space collection to share with you today. This collection will be released tomorrow. I was really excited to hear KBShimmer was releasing this because it's a collection of neutral shades. I'm all about nude and neutral colors and I'm happy to see indies starting to dabble in this shade range. I was only offered 4 polishes of these to review but decided to purchase the other 4 to complete the collection I was so excited about it. Let's get started

Caught On Tape
Caught On Tape is a pale mauve creme. (2 coats)

Cubicle Pusher
Cubicle Pusher is a muted holographic grape shade. (2 coats)

Fax Of Life
Fax Of Life is dark platinum grey polish with a linear holo. (2 coats)

A Hint Of Manila
A Hint of Manila is mega flame holographic vanilla/soft tan shade. (2 coats)

Makin' Copies
Makin' Copies is a pale silver with white shimmer and linear holo sparkle. (3 coats)

Staple Relationship
Staple Relationship is a deepened grey polish with silvery flakes and holo sparkle. (2 coats)

Supplies Party
Supplies Party is a warm cream shade loaded with metallic flakes and holo sparkle. (2 coats)

Take Back CTRL
Take Back CTRL is a dusty rose creme. (2 coats)

Collection: KBShimmer Office Space Winter 2017

Colors: I love this office space theme and the colors match it perfectly. This collection has a great mix of nude, neutral mauves, and gray/silver shades. I like the variety of neutrals offered in this collection. The variety of finishes is a plus too. My favorites in this collection are Cubicle Pusher, Take Back CTRL, A Hint of Manila, and Staple Relationship.

Formulas: These all had great formulas. The cremes were spectacular and easy to use 2 coaters. The other formulas were great and easy to use. Makin' Copies was the only color that needed 3 coats for me for opacity, but the formula was still good.

Price: These will be $9.25 each and are available on KBShimmer's website tomorrow!

Overall: I'm very impressed and pleased with this collection. I love the theme and the colors. I forsee nude/neutral shades picking up more momentum in 2017 and I appreciate indies jumping on that bandwagon. This collection offers a variety of different types of nude/neutral shades and finishes to really suit every taste, skin tone, and occasion. I would really like to see a sequel of this collection or another nude/neutral collection from KBShimmer later on because I can't get enough of colors like these!
