ILNP Sandy Baby

Sandy Baby is a subtle and sophisticated peach beige jelly.

Collection: ILNP Spring Jellies 2016

Color: This is a perfect my nails but better with some added glam type of shade. I'm in love with the color and it's made a home for itself on my makeup vanity because I'm using it so much. It's a great shade if you want a clean, fresh, and sleek look on your nails.

Formula: This formula is sheer but it works for a polish like this. I used 3 coats above. What I like about the sheerness of this polish and the color is that it will be very forgiving if I'm wearing it for several days. If I get some tip wear or a tiny chip it won't be as noticeable as if I wore a creme.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: I love Sandy Baby. It's the perfect go-to nail polish when you want a clean and natural look on your nails that still offers a touch of bling. I really adore ILNP soft jellies shades and I will be stocking up on more. This polish is perfection!

ILNP Sandy Baby

Today, I have one of ILNP's "jellie" polishes to share with you.

Sandy Baby
Sandy Baby is a subtle and sophisticated peach beige jelly that is extremely versatile, super holographic.

Collection: ILNP Spring Jellies Spring 2016

Color: This is a great my nails but better shade. It gives you a crisp clean look, but it has that added sparkle which I like! You know I've been into neutrals and nudes for awhile so I love this color.

Formula: The formula on this was good but sheer. I used 3 coats above and you can still see my nail peeking through in some spots. It doesn't bother me tremendously because it is such a nude color, but it's something to keep in mind.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: I really like this polish and it's one I have reached for more than once. It's a great clean or palette cleansing shade when you just want something to look fresh and nice on your nails. I really like this one!

ILNP Empire

I have an ILNP Ulta Metallic polish to share with you today. I love ILNP's take on metallic colors and how many of them have a holo twist that is executed beautifully. This one I have today does just that!

Empire
Empire is a true gold with made up of thin metallic flakes and holo micro flakes.

Collection: ILNP Ultra Metallics

Color: Gold isn't always my best color, but I still love it. The blingier the better. This is a great blingy gold. I love the use of metallic flakes and that little added holo flare!

Formula: This applied smoothly and nicely. I used 3 coats here. This has a similar formula to Juliette which I wasn't entirely impressed with, but I prefer this one. The flakes in Juliette were chunkier where I felt like there needed to be some sort of tinted base in the background. Empire the flakes seem a teeny bit finer so it gives a more opaque look on the nail.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: This is a gorgeous and beautifully made blingy gold polish. I love the use of flakes and the opacity of the formula for a flakie polish. The holo sparkle is a nice and perfect touch. No complaints!

ILNP Central Station

I love ILNP polishes and I think them and KBShimmer are probably my favorite indie brands. They're just so good at what they do in all aspects of their business. I also think I like them because they keep it fairly simple. They mainly just have seasonal collections, which is so much easier for me to keep up with! That being said, I do have a ILNP shade to show you I picked up this past fall.

Central Station
Central Station is an impressively delicate soft brown neutral shade with a subtle grey undertone that manages to radiate the perfect amount of warmth with holographic pigment and sparkle.

Collection: ILNP Fall Neutrals 2016

Color: I love this smoky brown shade. It's not too brown or too grey it's just right. It's hard to go wrong with neutral shades like this one. They're really flattering and chic. I love the addition of the holo in this as it elevates the shade, but it's still soft and doesn't go into Blingtown territory.

Formula: This had a smooth and easy to use formula. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This is $10.00 on the ILNP website.

Overall: This a nice and solid neutral polish. I love the color and the added sparkle. The formula was great and like everything ILNP I'm impressed and I think most people would appreciate this color.

ILNP Pink Mimosa

I've been very much in creme territory lately. I can't enough cremes and they're all I've been wearing for over a month now. I decided to break it up though when I saw this untried beauty in my stash from ILNP. Sometimes picking out what to paint my nails can be daunting. I have so many colors and sometimes I just can't decide. When I saw this color I didn't even have to think twice.

Pink Mimosa
Pink Mimosa is a super feminine rose toned nail polish packed with bright silver flakes, vivid pink shimmer, and an incredible holographic sparkle.

Collection: ILNP Summer 2015

Color: Wow! This is such a stunner. Sometimes it takes an ILNP polish to remind me just how great bling and holo are. There isn't another brand out there that really can do a finish like this. I love this icy rose shade. It pops against my skin tone while still having that touch of softness because of the pink.

Formula: This had an excellent 2 coat formula. This was smooth and easy to apply.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website

Overall: This is an amazing polish. This is a part of the Ulta Metallic line and that certainly fits. The shine in this is so reflective and that holo is icing on the cake. I am in absolutely in love with this polish. It's perfection.

ILNP Juliette

I have an ILNP polish to share with you today that has been on my wishlist for a long time. I finally got around to getting it in a gift exchange last fall. Who doesn't love rose gold? I sure love it but it can be a bit of tricky color for me. If it's too warm it doesn't really do wonders for my skin tone, but finding the right rose gold can be difficult. Rose and gold are warmer tones, so I'm already at a disadvantage. How will Juliette fair for me?

Juliette
Juliette is a holographic rose gold with metallic flakes.

Collection: ILNP Winter 2015

Color: I think this rose gold works for me alright. It maybe a touch too warm, but overall I do really like it. I love metallic flake polishes so this is what I  was drawn to instantly when I was oogling over this color over a year ago. I don't know if this finish really works out for me, though. It's all glitter particles without a color base. It doesn't look really smooth or cohesive on my nails because of this and I wish it had some sort of base going on.

Formula: This formula on this was OK. I think because it is all glittery particles it makes it harder to apply cleanly and smoothly. I used 3 coats above. It's not completely opaque, but close enough.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: I'm a bit disappointed with this polish. I think I had such high expectations for it and I had been wanting it for close to a year. I do love the color. I like the finish too, but the finish didn't work out too well application or look wise. I really wish there was some sort of colored base or even a shimmer base in this to give it a cleaner more complete look on the nail. It's not a bad polish and I really think these issues I have with it are more about my personal preference than what most people would feel about it.

ILNP Chleo

It seems like indies are starting to venture into the nude and neutral polish territory lately too. I was really excited when I saw ILNP was creating some fall neutrals as part of their fall collection. Indie really are not well known for colors like these, but I'm happy they're coming around to them because I have more options and better ones. We know indies tend to be more creative with colors than mainstream brands! I have the shade Chleo from the recent ILNP fall collection to share with you today.

Chleo
Chleo is a soft blush pink jelly that features a gorgeously delicate holographic sparkle.

Collection: ILNP Fall Neutrals Collection Fall 2016

Color: This is one of those "your nails but better shades". I love the softness of this shade and how it just enhances the look of my natural nails. The holo sparkle on this is just right. It provides the right amount of glimmer while still maintaining a clean and soft look.

Formula: Excellent jelly formula. I used 3 coats above. It was easy to apply and smooth.

Price: This is $10.00 on the ILNP website.

Overall: Chleo is a gorgeous shade and it definitely is satisfying my nude/neutral polish obsession right now. It's a very flattering shade and gives you the perfect clean and chic look to your nails. The sparkle is just right and the formula is on point.

ILNP Maiden Lane

ILNP makes some excellent holographic polishes. They're a brand I've come to trust and love over the years. They continually put out high quality products that I'm always impressed with. This polish caught my eye from their recent fall collection.

Maiden Lane
Maiden Lane is a gorgeously upscale charcoal grey holographic polish with subtle blue undertones.

Collection: ILNP Fall 2015

Color: This is a beautiful steely blue-grey holographic. I'm getting bored of silver, grey, and charcoal holographics at this point. I see them all the time. This on the other hand with the addition of those blue tones is stunning! It really gives Maiden lane more richness and depth. Plus, that holographic effect is super duper strong!

Formula: Excellent formulation. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This is $10 on ILNP's site.

Overall: Maiden Lane is a stunningly beautiful polish. I love the strong holo effect and this color. The formula is great. Again, I'm impressed with ILNP.

My Rating. 5 out of 5 *Golden* Paint Splatters

ILNP Happily Ever After

I think I've discovered my favorite finish of nail polish. I absolutely am in love with glittery holographics. You know the ones made by indies that are holographic, but have either added glitters or flakies into them that make them super duper unicorn magical? Those are to die for beautiful. It's taking two of my favorite things holo and glittery sparkle and merging them into one. This was a fairly new concept to me that was introduced to me in Spring by ILNP with 2 of her polishes in her spring collection. I have one of those to show you today.

Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After is a soft lilac holo with silver glittery flakes mixed in.

Collection: ILNP Spring 2015

Color: See what I mean? Those silver flakes elevate the bling factor in the already awesome holo! This color is beautiful. It's soft and delicate, but it has amazing sparkle.

Formula: Excellent easy to use formula. I used 3 coats here.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: This is one of those nail polishes I'm just not sure what else I can really say about it. The image speaks for itself. This is a stunning nail polish. I love the holo sparkle. I love everything about it.

ILNP Fame

**I'm headed to CosmprofNA tomorrow in Las Veags! Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for updates! I'll have a full report when I get back!**

Yesterday's holo gave me holo fever. I have so many holos, but I have to be honest I rarely wear them. It's not because I don't like them, it's that holo dry spell I talked about yesterday. Holos were so rare at one time I didn't want to use mine in fear of them going away forever! I haven't gotten over it, but I should break them out more because they're stunning. The ILNP I have for you today is an incredible stunner.

Fame
Fame is a champagne gold holo with metallic gold and silver flakes.

Collection: ILNP Spring 2015

Color: This is a stunning color. I love gold holos and gold glitters, but sometimes they don't look great on my skin tone the more yellow they are. Fame is a great alternative. This is a gold-toned polish, but it's cooler toned and lighter. The holo in this is intense and eye catching. The addition of the metallic flakes just is icing, sprinkles, cherries, and whipped cream on the already amazing cake.

Formula: Excellent and easy to use formula. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: Must have. Amazing. Stunning. Spec-freaking-tacular. This will definitely be a contender in my Top 25 of 2015. You need this one.

ILNP My Little Glacier (H)

I'm sorry for my lack of posts the beginning of this year. I've had some unexpected challenges that have prevented me from spending the time I'd like on my blog. I know I don't have to apologize to you, but I really would of rather been working on blog things than dealing with life inconveniences that's for sure! I'm hoping tomorrow things will be back on an even-keel.

On a lighter note I do have a polish to share for you form ILNP. This one caught my eye because of the color.

My Little Glacier (Holo)
My Little Glacier (H) is a steely icy blue metallic holo with slight grey color shift.

Collection: Ultra Chrome

Color: This doesn't have the color shift that the others in the Ultra Chrome collection have. That being said, I really love this color. I'm not big on ultachromes or multichromes. I know that may sound crazy to many of you. I just really love the complexity and dimension of this color. Colors like this can come off kind of dull and muddled, but this with the holo and that slight color shift make it stand out.

Formula: The formula on this was nice and easy to use. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This is $12.50 on the ILNP website.

Overall: I love My Little Glacier. It's wintery and it has depth unlike other colors I've seen similar to it. I like the holo effect, and adore this shade of blue. I'm not disappointed by the very little color shift effect, but it could of been amped up just a smidge.

ILNP Champagne Blush

How about we continue the holo trend for another day? I have a ILNP holo to share with you. This one is from the recent fall collection.

Champagne Blush
Champagne Blush is a dusty rose linear holo.

Collection: ILNP Fall 2014

Color: I feel like pinks are disappearing from the nail polish scene. I rarely see them in even mainstream collections anymore. It's hard to make a pink special or different, but a holo pink does the trick. I love how this traditional color was taken up a notch with the holo. It's still feminine and sophisticated, but with a twist.

Formula: This was an easy to use formula. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: There are many times I crave understated colors as manis, but I still want a little sparkle. Champagne Blush is perfect for that. It's one of those colors that makes you feel "put together", but not stuffy!

ILNP Iconic

I'm sorry I've been MIA this week. I think the holiday made me get a little lazy about posting!

How was your Thanksgiving, those of you who celebrate? Mine was OK. It wasn't bad or anything. I thought this year I'd mix it up and try some new recipes for different side dishes. They weren't bad, but it I missed my traditional Thanksgiving food I eat every year. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Today, I have for you an all-star polish by ILNP. I have difficulty with nude polishes. I find they always are too yellow-toned for my skin, and make me look ill. I stay away from them. Once in a blue moon though, a nude polish comes along that makes all my nude polish wishes and dreams come true.

Iconic
Iconic is a pale champagne gold linear holographic.

Color: I notice when going through swatches, that this looks different on everyone. Some people it looks more of a gold and some people it looks more of a rose-gold. This pulls really pink on me since I have a lot of pink in my skin. This reads to means as a nude holo on my skin, It is beautiful. This compliments my skin tone nicely. The color is subtle, but the holo is intense.

Formula: The formula on this is nice. I recommend 3 coats.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: Iconic is a complete package for me. It fills a void I've wanted filled for a long time in my stash. The color is beautiful and the holo is intense. If you're someone with similar skin tone as me, who has crap luck with nude holos, this one maybe what you've been looking for. This is a must have, and a contender in my Top 25 of 2014!

ILNP Charmingly Purple

I have another beautiful holo from the ILNP's spring collection today. I'm so impressed with these, as they are the first pastel holos I've ever owned. I was always wanting pastel holos, and ILNP nailed these (pun intended)! I have 5 from the collection already, but I'll definitely be picking up some others I missed later on. This next one is a gorgeous purple.

Charmingly Purple
Charmingly Purple is a bright lavender holo.

Color: Beautiful shade of purple. I absolutely love lavender shades. This color is soft, but saturated. The holo pairs nicely with the base.

Formula: Excellent easy to apply formula. I used 3 coats.

Price: This is $10.00 on ILNP's website

Overall: This is one of those polishes I feel speaks for itself. I'm not sure I can add much to enhance how beautifully awesome it is. I think you will be impressed with Charmingly Purple if you purchase for yourself.

ILNP Princeton

I'm declaring mint and sea foam green my color for summer. I typically gravitate towards certain shades every season. I'm already eyeing lots of mint colors and pre-planning mint manis. One mint polish I've always wanted in my nail polish collection was a mint holo. Thanks to ILNP, I have a mint holo this year!

Princeton
Princeton is a pastel mint green holo.

Color: This is mint perfection. I love the shade of mint this is, and the biggest bonus is how balanced it is with the holographic effect. I've seen some color holos where the silvery holo effect really grays out and dulls the base color. This does not happen with Princeton at all, the base and holo live in perfect harmony!

Formula: Excellent easy to apply and use formula. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This is $10 on the ILNP website.

Overall: Princeton is an excellent polish! I love the color and the formula. I'm very impressed! This certainly will be in my minty summer rotation! In fact, I think this one may earn a spot in my Top 25 of 2014. I've put it on my list of contenders, which to me makes it a must have.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Do you have color you think you'll be gravitating towards this summer?

ILNP King and Queens

I have to say from 2010-2012 holographic polishes sucked. Indies changed that for all of us, and I think we all are very thankful. I had not dabbled much in indie holos until this year, and I was in for a holo-shock! I have for you today one of ILNP's holos from the spring collection.

King and Queens
King and Queens is a saturated magenta/fuchsia linear holo.

Color: Holy-holo, this is another no joking around polish. This is a bright and vibrant holo. The color itself is saturated and vibrant too. I hate holo finishes that gray-out or take away from the base. The base and holo live in perfect harmony here.

Formula: Excellent easy to apply formula. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This is $10.00 on the ILNP site.

Overall: Outstanding holo that ticks all the boxes. So impressive, I can't think of much else to say about it!

ILNP Music Box

Whenever I think of music boxes the monkey music box from The Phantom of the Opera playing Masquerade pops into my head. Is it just me? Probably. "A collector's piece indeed...." This then spirals out of control until the entire musical score of  The Phantom of the Opera is in my head for days. I am strange. I realize this.

-fights extreme urge to post the Overture of The Phantom of the Opera video on this post-. So, ILNP ( I Love Nail Polish) released a handful of gorgeous pastel holos for spring, and I had to get most all of them. I picked up Music Box -fights urge again-, and that's what I have to share with you today.

Music Box
Music Box is a light aqua holo.

Color: This a beautiful color spring, and I adore the holographic touch. This is a softer holo, but I prefer that.

Formula: Excellent easy to apply formula. I used 3 coats above.

Price: This is $10.00 on ILNP's website.

Overall: Gorgeous soft aqua blue holo! I think this is one that speaks for itself. I really like it, and I think if you're holo fan you'll enjoy this one too.

My Rating 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
