OCC Electric Sheep

I came across this next polish at the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics booth at The Makeup Show Orlando. They probably had around 30 nail polishes to choose from, and this color immediately stood out to me. This is strange to me because this is not a color I typically would be drawn to, but this one caught my eye!

Electric Sheep

Electric Sheep is a soft lavender with a strong silver shimmer.

Color: This color is so unique to me. I don't think I've seen such a soft shade with such a strong shimmer. I can't even really describ how I feel about it. This is just a funky color. It's soft and pretty, but funky too? Plus, it's called Electric Sheep!

Formula: The formula on this was fine. I used 3 coats. The shimmer in this is more intense, so this polish does show some brushstrokes. I don't find this to be overpowering at all nor would I consider this a frost.

Price: This is $10 on the OCC website

Overall: I like this one, it's cool and different. I love lavender polish, but silver shimmer isn't typically my thing. I really like the shimmer in this one, it gives it a cool futuristic finish IMO.

OCC Man by Man

I have to share with you today a nail polish from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics a.k.a. OCC. OCC had a booth at The Makeup Show Orlando this year, and I gave them a pretty penny! They had an awesome selection of nail polishes. They also had their Moderncraft fall collection which featured this beaut!

Man by Man

Man by Man is a teal shimmering glass fleck/shimmer.

Color: This color is outstanding, but very hard to describe. This isn't like your Zoya Charla or OPI Catch Me in Your Net variety. This is more unique than you may assume. The shimmer/glass fleck particles are more sparse and fine. This shade of teal also leans more to the green side than blue. Beautiful and rich shade that truly comes to life when light touches it.

Formula: Easy breezy. Great formula.

Price: This is $10.00 on the OCC website. I paid discounted rate at the show for $7.00.

Overall: Gorgeous polish. I was instantly drawn to it when I spotted it at the show. It's a unique to me teal shimmer among the vast ones available out there. The formula was great. Their retail price point isn't my favorite, but for $7.00 at the show I didn't winch. I would pay $10.00 for this shade though.

Way-Cool Mani Wednesday: Shimmering Mermaid

*Today is the last day to enter my Cult Nails All Access giveaway

I think this might be one of my all time fave way-cool manis for Wednesdays so far. I love this color combination. You know, the one I always talk about? Blues and greens paired with warm metals like gold and copper. Heavenly combo!!! I can't get enough. I'm calling these shimmering mermaid nails because I can.

Psssst! Nail polish companies and indies please make more blues, aquas, and greens with gold shimmers or glitters. Please, please, please, please, please!!!!
Polishes Used:

KBShimmer Teal Another Tail, OCC Copperhead, and Essie Penny Talk.

Manicure Description: Painted all nails excluded ring finger with KBShimmer Teal Another Tail and did an accent nail of Essie Penny Talk with OCC Copperhead layered on top.

Easy peasy, but super gorgeous! I am in love!

Happy Wednesday!
