Revlon Red Hot Tamale

Do you ever notice in polish collecting you go through bouts of an obsession with certain shades and need acquire as much of that shade as possible?

Well, currently I'm going through a light-medium lavender/purple creme shade and a bright red creme shade phase. This is a Revlon polish I got in the midst of my bright red creme phase. It is currently 75% in their beauty sale which makes it really cheap! I don't know the price off hand but you shouldn't be paying more than $1.30 or so for it.

Red Hot Tamale
Red Hot Tamale is a bright red-orange toned creme.

This is a great red creme. It's bright and summery. I just love these colors, hence my current obsession. I was looking online to see anyone else had talked about it, and I found this blog post from R3Daily. She compares it to RBL Bangin', they are not exact dupes, but very close! If that is a color you like, and you can find the Revlon with this current sale going on at CVS you're going to save $16-$17! :)

What current shades are you obsessing over?

Happy Tuesday!

OPI DS Glamour

Let me preface this post by saying I spent more than $10 on this polish. Technically, I didn't spend the money on it personally. I used an Amazon gift card to purchase it. However, if I was without the gift card, I would of easily thrown down the extra money for this. This was a huge lemming for me, and now it's fulfilled. It is well worth the extra dough.

OPI Designer Series Glamour
DS Glamour is medium blue holographic perfection.

Now this is a holographic polish! I'm sorry, but the swatches of the China Glaze Tronica collection are so disappointing to me. I'm not going to touch them, instead I've searched online to find Sally Hansen Prisms and OPI DS polishes to accompany my frew China Glaze OMGs and Kaelidescopes to fulfill my holographic polish dreams.

This is HTF (hard to find). I paid $15 for this on Amazon from the seller Beauty Clutch. I just checked on Amazon and according to them they only have 4 bottles of this polish left at that price. They have 100% feedback for the past 30 days and 98% feedback of all time. I had no issues with them. They sent this one lonely polish in a box of its own packaged nicely and securely. I've seen this polish for $25+ on eBay, so if this is something you want I suggest you get it from Beauty Clutch soon! :)

Happy Monday!

Eva Bare

I'm so glad it's Saturday! I'm feeling stir crazy, and I feel guilty for saying that because I know many of you have a good reason to be stir crazy! I wasn't one of the ones stuck in the wintery weather, but I've been stuck doing school stuff non-stop, and I need a day out! Anywho, today I have a nice Eva color to share.

Bare
Bare is light bubblegum pink with a golden shimmer.

I love this shade. I've always been looking for a paler pink with a golden shimmer. Since I'm a gold shimmer addict, I need about every single color of the rainbow with gold shimmer in it. I have this shade on my toes now, and it's very pretty. Eva is an odd brand to me. I've only been able to find it at Walgreens, and I'm convinced it maybe only sold in Florida since they are based out of Miami? Unless any of you outside of Florida have seen it? I really love their color selection though and they are $2 a bottle, so no complaints.

Happy Saturday!

I has too much haulage....

Sorry, I've been kind of on and off this week. School work has consumed my life. However, I've managed to get a lot of polish last month. It's an insane amount. I'm embarrassed. You know that silly picture of the dog who had "too much birfday?"

Well I think I has too much haulage, but good haulage!

Here are my goodies! The first stuff is from my Dad. He's so cute he called me and told me he was at store that had these grab bags of old polish and offered to get some for me. There were some cool things in there majority of these had no names, but that's ok. Thank you Dad!

The rest of this I've acquired through swaps, Dollar Tree, Amazon, or Victoria Nail Supply.

OPI Serena Glam Slam Set w/ Simply Smashing & Black Shatter.

Sally Hansen Blush Diamond. OPI DS Glamour, & Sally Hansen Golden Tourmaline

Cover Girl Frostslicks Gold Frost, Cover Girl Iceslicks Anti-Freeze, Cover Girl Midnight Forest, Cover Girl Crackle Bou! Hou!

China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway, China Glaze Pool Party, Orly Snowcone, OPI Big Lights Big Color

China Glaze Electric Lilac, Orange Marmalade, Sea Spray, & White Cap

China Glaze  Life Preserver, Ahoy!, First Mate, & Hey Sailor....

Phew!!! I'm so excited about my holos and my new China Glazes!

Yeah..too much haulage, but good haulage! Speaking of too much polish I'm going through the process of  finding polishes in my entire stash to put in a blog sale. I have many polishes that I think other people would enjoy more than me.  I should have a blog sale posted this weekend or early next week!

Happy Friday!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Check it Out

Nail art isn't something for me. I enjoy looking at other people's creations or konad creations, but to be honest I'm pretty stinky at it and it requires a lot of patience I don't have. That's were these Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips come in. They do the art for me I just have to stick them on my nails. I got these in the houndstooth "Check it Out" pattern.

Inside you got....

Directions, 16 nail polish strips, cuticle, stick, & file/buffer

These are not fool proof or easy breezy in my opinion, however, it's not like studying quantum physics either. I did not use base coat. Many of these were a slightly too big for my nail beds, so I just made do with it. The most difficult part of this was lining these properly up with your nail and trimming them down. I didn't get how you "file" the rest off. I don't know if my filing skills are to blame or the product. I ended up cutting these down to where I could actually file them and shape the properly. This was probably wrong.

End result after two coats of Poshe..
As you can see these are far from perfection on my nails. That is my own fault. I was the kid in school who couldn't cut straight or folded paper where the edges never met. They worked out fine though. I don't think they look too shabby. If I can somewhat do this ANYONE can..trust me!

That all being said I absolutely love these. Yes, they may of taken a bit of extra effort and a bit pricey ($8.50-$10.00), but for someone who steers clear of nail art brushes and konad plates this is well worth it to me. I enjoyed wearing these for 5 days, before I decided to take them off (they had tad of tipwear, but no chips, so they could of lasted longer). It was fun and different for me, so I will repurchase again.

Happy Wednesday!
