This is going around, and it's fun so I couldn't pass it up! I was tagged by Let them have Polish! & Lacquer Ware of Tips and Toes. Thanks ladies! I realized how inconsistent my handwriting is compared to other people who have done this tag.

Here are the questions:
1. What is you name? And your blog.
2. Blog url
3. Write: the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
4. Favorite quote
5. Favorite song
6. Favorite band/singers
7. Say anything you want
8. Pass it along to a few bloggers

If anyone would like to do this please go ahead!
Have a goodnight!

Milani Gems (Pink Version)

When I first heard news of Milani Gems, I was on a mission to find it. It took me 3 weeks, but I got my hands on this gem and the rest of the glitters. After I purchased these I started hearing news of this mysterious pink version of Gems. In addition to the red, blue, green, silver, and gold glitter there was pink glitter. Well, of course I needed this too. At first these were only being sold online, but now this pink version can be found in the core displays at stores. I found this last week, and the pink glitter definitely makes this even better!

Gems (pink)
Gems (pink) is blue, pink, red, green, gold,& silver glitter in varying sizes suspended in a clear base. This is Gems over China Glaze Snow.

This is undoubtedly a party on your nails. This is like a childhood craft project in a nail polish. You know when you made an absolute mess of your house sprinkling glitter over white glue on construction paper? The good ole days! Perhaps, this is why I love this polish so much. I don't think I will ever out grow things that are colorful and sparkly!

Happy Friday!

Sally Hansen Lively Lilac

Reminder: I posted my blog sale up yesterday!

A little while ago, I professed my love for lavender and lilac shades. I asked many of you what your favorites were in attempt to help fulfill my new found love for these colors. The polish that was mentioned the most was Sally Hansen Lively Lilac, so I went out and bought this beauty!

Lively Lilac
The reason I have 2 photos here is because with a flash this color photographs more blue than it really is, the second picture is under a lamp which is definitely more color accurate.

Lively Lilac is a light-medium lilac with a subtle shimmer.

I would say this leans slightly towards the red side more than blue, even though with a flash it looks more blue. I don't care either way it's just what I'm looking for! I cannot get enough of these shades. I think I'm having a little blast from my past. When I was little my room was painted lavender it was my favorite color, as I got older I "poo pooed" it saying it was too girly. Bah, I lie I still love this feminine shade! Thank you all for the great recommendation!

Happy Thursday!

Savina Morning Glory...Gray Jelly?!?

This was a total fluke. I was at Nordstrom Rack, and spotted this Savina polish. In the lighting at the store this looked very similar to Zoya Caitlin (a gray-purple/blue creme). When I got home it definitely looked more gray than a gray-blue, but it still looked like a creme. I then swatched it on a nail wheel and if it was any more sheer it would of been considered a clear polish, but this polish held a little secret.... (enter mysterious music)

Morning Glory
Morning Glory is a gray with a touch of blue jelly.

This around 3 coats. This built up nicely into a great jelly! I don't know about any gray jellies, so I'm excited about this. This isn't as "jelly-like" as some of the colors in OPI Texas, but it definitely has that "squishy" look to it. This color is a definite win! I will be getting a second  bottle to throw in a giveaway soon, because I think this greatness needs to be shared!

You can get this color at Nordstrom Rack or 8ty8 Beauty (the bottle pic it shows on 8ty8 is so inaccurate Morning Glory isn't teal!).

I have also posted my first blog sale. This is US only. Please be sure to check it out!

Happy Wednesday!

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Blush Diamond

***Mini rant below. These are purely my opinions!***

I don't know what it is, but I absolutely loathe the China Glaze Tronica collection from the core of my being. This sounds insane.. I know, but I really despise them. They are sad excuses for holographic polishes. Their "holographic silvery-ness" overwhelms the pigmentation of the colors. Plus, the "hologarphic-ness" is hardly holographic.  I feel like people new to nail polish collecting and blogging are getting jipped with these "holos". There are better holos out there. They may not be easiest to find, but they are out there!

Some great holos come from the Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Collection. Here is a nice one. :)

Blush Diamond
Blush Diamond is a magenta scattered holo. This has a similar effect as the China Glaze Kaleidoscope holos.

Instead of just ranting on and on about Tronica, I would tell you all some of my favorite holo polishes, and how you can get them.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms- This collection is no longer out, but they are not difficult to find and they are not expensive. You can find these on eBay or Amazon. You can also find some on Cassie Cosmetics. I've seen these go between $2-$6 average. You can find out all about the Sally Hansen Nail Prisms and swatches on Vibrant Point of View nail blog.

OPI Designer Series- There are some discontinued colors in this collection, but there are still a handful available online at TransDesign  for $7.25. You can also find these on eBay, Amazon, Ulta, & some other beauty supply stores for varying prices. If you see them for a higher price they are most likely the discontinued ones. You can find many of these swatches on Scrangie- Part 1, Part 2, & Part 3.

China Glaze OMG & Kalediscope- These are more difficult to find, and they are at a higher price. You can find these on eBay, but personally I wouldn't pay more than $15 for them now. I also see these on many blog sales, and have heard of people finding them at "dusties" for a lower price. Swatches of these collections can be found on Scrangie- OMG & Kalediscope.

Milani 3D Holographic- These are definitely not the best holographic polishes, but they are good. I like these better than Tronica. I think they have a stronger holographic effect. These are also the easiest to find. I've seen these at Walgreens, Target, KMart, & CVS anywhere between $3.50-$5.00. Here are swatches on Scrangie.

The rest are holos I have not had personal experience with, but have heard many rave reveiws about.

Nfu-Oh- They have a few holographic polishes, #61 is most popular, but is currently out of stock. They also have other colors. You can find them on FabulousStreet for $12.50. There are a few swatches of these on The Nailphile .

Nubar- They released a collection of holographic polishes called the "Prism Collection". You can see the collection on Scrangie. You can buy these individually for $9.49 or the entire set of 8 for $59.95 on Nubar's website.

Glitter Gal- This is a brand out of Australia. I do not own any personally, but I've heard them reviewed very highly from blogger friends. I'm not 100% sure on the price, I'm pretty sure they are pricier, but from the photos I've seen they seem worth it. You can read reviews on them on Scandalously Polished & Also Known As. You can find these polishes on Glitter Gal website.

I've also heard great things about Gosh- Holographic & Make Up Store holos. I don't know much about these or how to find them, but if anyone has more info please let me know in the comments.

Sorry, to be all ranty about Tronicas. I know some of you love them, and that's totally fine! I'm sure it's nice to have a holo collection out there if you were not around for earlier holo collections. I'm sure I'd be all over them too. I just wanted to share that there are better holos out there that you can find now. :)

Happy Tuesday!

P.S. If you know of any other holos out there that you like, please let me know in the comments!
