OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know?

I think this might be the first time I've had a brown polish on this blog. I have to admit brown has never been my forte, but I'm definitely warming up to the idea. I'm seeing more and more browns lately that are catching my eye, like this one from the OPI Holland collection.

Wooden Shoe Like To Know?

Wooden Shoe Like to Know? is a medium chocolate brown with a golden-pink shimmer.

You know the color of hot chocolate? This is it. I actually was craving hot chocolate while putting this on. I really like this color. I like how it has some purple undertones to it, so it's not a harsh brown. The shimmer is a beautiful touch. I honestly do not think I'd like this color near as much without the shimmer. I think it needed it. If you're unsure of brown shades, this maybe a good stepping stone polish for you to see how you feel about the color.

Jordana Copper Blaze

2012 has clearly become the year of the glitters! There are a ton of brands that now have a wide range of colorful glitters. You know what the best part about this is? They're coming from super affordable brands. I've seen these glitters from Icing, Claire's, Revlon, Milani, and Jordana. I found this Jordana glitter at KMart and it only cost me $2!

Copper Blaze over Cult Nails Time Traveler

Copper Blaze is a mixture of large and small copper hexagonal glitters in a clear base.

This is a great glitter! I love the color. I do not typically see copper glitters. The formula is excellent. You will not be fishing out glitters in this at all. They glide on to your nail smoothly. I approve! The only thing, is I know online these are $3 rather than $2. If you have KMart in your area, I suggest you go there and stock up on the Jordana glitters they have. You can't go wrong at $2 a pop!

You voted for "My First Polishes". I did this bottle spam a little differently. I chose some of the first polishes I got when I first got into nail polish in late 2008 for this bottle spam. As you'll see some of these bottles have seen better days!

Zoya Cheri

Just when Zoya got done with one promo, they shared another one with us! I loved the Valentine's promo, where you could get an item and receive a choice of a red polish + free shipping. It's difficult to have Zoyas stick around on your wishlist for long. That is certainly not a problem! This is one of the Zoyas I got with that promotion.

Cheri

Cheri is a warm rosy pinky-red with a golden shimmer.

Well, I'm sure you know why I like this one...gold shimmer! This is a nicely pigmented color. I love rosy shades, and I do not have one quite like this. I was wondering if this was similar to China Glaze Strawberry Fields (blog post by The Swatchaholic), but Cheri is warmer, redder, and darker. The only real similarity is that they are pinks with gold shimmer, but very different shades of pink. Lovely shade. I actually think this would look great on a variety of different skin tones.

Happy Friday!

a-england Dragon

Yes..more green for me! How could I resist a green holo polish? This one is absolutely stunning, a long with the other a-england The Legend polishes I have. Sadly, my camera was quite jealous of this beautiful polish, and would not take as clear of  a photo as I would of liked. I tried, but bad camera!

Dragon

Dragon is a mossy green with scattered holographic effect.

This is gorgeous. The formula on this is near perfect. I get excellent wear with a-england. I can wear these chip free for nearly a week. The name is awesome too. Who wouldn't want a polish named Dragon..that is green...and holographic?!?

Happy Thursday!
