Top 25 of 2013: Part 1

We've made it to the Top 25 of 2013! I started this list at the beginning of this year. I've been working on this since January! I typically do a Top 20, but this year was spectacular in nail polish, so I had to lengthen my list to 25.  My Top 25 of 2013 will be divided into 5 posts, with each post having 5 polishes in them. This list is not in ranking order. There is no way I could choose a favorite among these!  This Top 25 list contains only polishes released in 2013. I have also linked each polish to my original review of it on my blog.

Let's get started!

KBShimmer Christmas Now

Happy Christmas Eve!

I have for you today the last holiday/polish I have from the KBShimmer winter 2013 collection. I think this one is definitely the most fitting for today.

Christmas Now
Christmas Now is a grass green jelly with multicolored glitter.

Color: This is definitely a Christmas color! The brighter green shade is neat, I don't think I have a Christmas polish that is quite this shade of green. The fun pop color with the glitters makes a great combo. I will say as much I like this color, I'm not so sure this shade of green and my skin tone play nicely together!

Formula: The formula is nice and I used 3 coats. I wish this was just a teensy bit more pigmented for my taste.

Price: I paid $8.75 for this on KBShimmer's website.

Overall: Great fun Christmas color! This isn't your traditional Christmas color, this is bright and full of pop!

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Tuesday!

Essie Parka Perfect

I have a lovely polish from the Essie Winter collection to share with you today. I think this is a great year round color, but it definitely fits for winter!

Parka Perfect
Parka Perfect is a soft sea blue with a subtle white shimmer.

Color: Beautiful creamy soft blue. I love colors like this, they really work well with anything you'd wear. The shimmer though is non-existent to me in person, I can barely see it in the photo too.

Formula: This would of 100% been a must have from me if it weren't for this formula. I found the formula tricky to apply, and did not self level very well. I've had this issue with Essie's in the past, and I'm disappointed that this one was like this too.

Price: I paid $8.50 for this at CVS.

Overall: Lovely shade of blue that is soft and flattering. The formula is the stinker here and really ruins it for me.

My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Monday!

KBShimmer WIll Yule Marry Me?

So close to Christmas. This is the time I start dreading because it means this happy festive sparkly time is almost over. So sad, but it's not over yet. I have another winter KBShimmer polish to share with you.

Will Yule Marry Me?
Will Yule Marry Me is a dusty navy crelly bsae with silver holographic glitters.

Color: The base color of this polish is what sold me on it. I love this dusty muted looking navy. I don't own any colors like this at all, and I love it paired with this glitter.

Formula: I used 3 coats in the swatch above.

Price: I paid $8.75 for this one the KBShimmer website

Overall: This is a beautiful wintery glitter. The base color is awesome, and this is very unique to my other holiday polishes.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Friday!
