KBShimmer Fall 2014 (5 of 10)

* I received the following products in exchange for my honest review.

I have for you today some of the polishes from KBShimmer's fall collection. What I like about this collection is KBShimmer plays around with various fall trends from vampy to muted. She also adds some holo and glitter in some of the polishes for flair!

These polishes are available for purchase today on the KBShimmer website.

Hugs & Wishes
Hugs & Wishes is a muted light lavender creme. (2 coats)

Kiss & Spell over Hugs & Wishes
Kiss & Spell is a Halloween-themed glitter with a mix of yellow, black, orange, purple, and green glitters in varying shapes in a clear base. (2 coats)

A Raisin to Live
A Raisin to Live is a blackened ox blood jelly base with holographic glitters. (3 coats)

Leaf of Faith
Leaf of Faith is a cabaret red jelly with red, orange, and gold glitters. (3 coats)

Up & Cunning
Up & Cunning is a teal linear holographic.

Colors: I love the color variation in this collection. I only have 5 of the shades, so be sure to check out the others on KBShimmer's site. Fall is more than vampy shades, and KBShimmer offers vampy colors, jewel tones, and muted shades in this collection.

Formulas: The formulas on these were all good. I did find the creme and jelly glitters to be a bit on the thick side, but nothing difficult to deal with. I just prefer a thinner formula. I really loved the formulas on Up & Cunning and Kiss & Spell.

Price: All the shades I reviewed excluding Hugs & Wishes are $8.75. Hugs & Wishes is $7.50. These all can be purchased on the KBShimmer website.

Overall: I really enjoyed this selection of fall nail polishes. Like always, KBShimmer makes a little something for everyone in her collections. I did find a few of the formulas a little thicker than I prefer, but that didn't sour any of the polishes for me. My favorites of the bunch are Hugs & Wishes, Kiss & Spell, and Up & Cunning.

Sephora X Free Fall

Sephora is a dangerous place, especially the nail section. The Sephora X nail polishes have some of the best nail polishes as far as selection, color, originality, and finishes. It is a nail polish addict's dream come true. The only problem is their polishes are in the $10.50-$12.50 range which is well outside what I'm comfortable for nail polish typically. They're very hard to resist, which makes it that much harder to try to pick ones out the ones you "need" when you have the cash to spare. I picked up this pretty a few months ago.

Free Fall
 Free Fall w/ top coat

Free Fall is an ice blue textured glitter.

Color: This is a beautiful shade of blue. I'm not into texture much, but this icy and sugary blue is awesome!

Formula: The formula on this is average. I did find it a bit chunky and took a more careful application. I would of preferred a more perfected formula for the price tag.

Price: This is $12.50 at Sephora.

Overall: This is a beautiful nail polish. This makes me think of the movie "Frozen". and I'd expect you could create a lot of beautiful winter-themed manis with Free Fall. The color is great, the formula could be better, but all around I like this one.

Way-Cool Mani Wednesday: Soft & Holo

I haven't quite reached vampy fall nail polish stage yet, but I'm breaking out a lot of dusty and muted colors. Here is a recent mani I did featuring Silly Bee's Chickadees and a-england.

Polishes Used: Silly Bee's Chickadees Sass & Sassability and a-england Her Rose Adagio.

I have to say I think I favor soft pastel holos over bright ones! I love they subtle sparkle!

Happy Wednesday!

Zoya Remy

It's hard not to be ready for fall. I see fall and Halloween decorations everywhere! I'm also seeing Christmas decorations. Sigh. I even had a Christmas song in my head the other day. So much for living in the moment! I'm ready for fall. I think it can be declared unofficially fall anyways.

I have a fall Zoya stunner to show you today. I have a feeling this is going be on the of the "it" nail polish colors of the season.

Remy
Remy is saturated deep blue with copper and gold metallic shimmer.

Color: Do I even need to describe how amazing this is, really? Look at it? This is a sparkling rich deep blue. This catches the light beautifully and is a-freaking-mazing.

Formula: Very easy to use 2 coat formula. Applies nicely and smoothly.

Price: This is $9.00.

Overall: This is a 100% must have. I don't even think this will be contender on my Top 25 of 2014. This will have definite place on the list. There is a spoiler for you.. Everyone needs Remy in their stash. Gorgeous polish!
