Cupcake Polish Imagine

I have another one of the fantastical polishes from Cupcake Polish's Unicorn Collection. This collection is made up of beautiful jelly holo micro-glitters. I'm a suck for glitter so of course I fell in love with these. I love indies doing one-tone glitters these days. There are so many different muti-colored glitters out there, but I when doing manis I may only use those as accent nails. Solid tone glitters I love as full manis.

Imagine
Imagine is a pastel teal jelly with silver holo microglitter.

Collection: Cupcake Polish Unicorn Collection Winter 2016

Color: You can never go wrong with a great teal in my book and this one is great. I love this shade of blue-green and that holo glitter makes this polish magical. This is sparkle city!

Formula: This had a great formula. It applied beautifully and easily. I used 2 coats above.

Price: This is $13.00 on Cupcake Polish's site.

Overall: This is a winning polish. I love the color and the holo glitter. The polishes in this collection including Imagine fit perfectly in a Unicorn themed collection. These colors are magical!

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Paint Splatters

KBShimmer Spring 2016 (4 of 7)

* I received the following products in exchange for my honest review.

I have a few of the new KBShimmer Spring 2016 Collection polishes to share with you today. The spring collection comes in two parts, the spring collection itself and the Mega Flame collection. I'll have the Mega Flame polishes to share with you on Friday. This collection will be available for purchase on Tuesday March 15th.

Let's get started!

Peony Pincher
Peony Pincher is a pastel pink with lavender undertones linear holo.

I Wet My Plants
I Wet My Plants is a pastel periwinkle crelly features a garden full of colorful glitters in pink, sapphire, silver and purple. Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Serenity.

Purr-fectly Paw-some
Purr-fectly Paw-some is a pastel moody blue linear holographic polish with steel gray and lavender undertones.

Pool Paradise
Pool Paradise is an aqua with neon pink, periwinkle, and aqua glitters based on Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Limpet Shell.

Collection: KBShimmer Spring 2016 Collection

Colors: I love these colors for spring! They're soft and pretty shades, but do vary from the run of the mill pastel colors. I'd have to say Peony Pincher and Pool Paradise are my favorite of this bunch. I will say these crellies do pack a lighter punch in regards to glitter than other KBShimmer crellies than I'm used to. The glitter in these are more subtle. They're still great colors, but I prefer more of a glitter bomb with my crellies. Be sure to check out all the shades in this collection over at Cosmetic Sanctuary.

Formulas: The formulas on all of these were excellent. I didn't have any application issues and they all applied beautifully. I only needed two coats for each of these swatches.

Price: These will be $9.25 individually and will be released on Tuesday March 15th on KBShimmer's site and Harlow & Co.

Overall: I really like this collection. The holos in this are on point. They're beautiful colors with a strong holo effect and a great formula. I love the crellies especially Pool Paradise. This is a solid spring collection and I definitely worth the second look!

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Paint Splatters

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 2/28/16-3/6/16

This was a near perfect week of wax. I think it would be rare for me to have a perfect week. When trying new things you're bound to come across something that isn't your favorite. Plus, with wax there are many variables, something may smell great in the package, but once you melt it could not have much throw. I hope I'll have a perfect wax week though, I'm just not sure that will happen!
ScentSationals Himalayan Pink Salt
Scent Description: An invigorating blend of eucalyptus and jasmine.
My Thoughts: This is a definite spa/clean scent, but unlike any others I have. I'm not really sure how to describe it. I'd say this a blend of a salty air note and floral. I'm not sure I really smell jasmine in this though. It's something sweet, but very fresh at the same time. I have no idea! It smells amazing to me though. I would say this would smell like a nice soap they'd have at a fancy beach resort. That is not descriptive, but that's where my mind takes me to when I smell it.
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: Walmart

Better Homes & Gardens Apple Blossom Freesia
Scent Description: Breezy apple blossom and ethereal freesia greens intermingle with green pear and ripe raspberry touched by sugared currant and sweet apricot.
My Thoughts: This is a very clean fruity floral that is very reminiscent of many body washes and shampoos. It's a very fresh and clean scent with a fruity floral twist. I really like this one, but I do not have much else to say about it other than I love it. If you like fruity floral bath and body products you'll most likely like this one too.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5
Where To Buy: Walmart

Candles by Victoria White Nectarine & Pink Coral
Scent Description: The luscious fruitiness of sweet peach, pineapple chunks and orange slices blended with enchanting floral notes of honeysuckle, rose and jasmine on a drydown of soft, soothing musk.
My Thoughts: What I love about this scent is how natural it is for a nectarine scent. Peach, nectarine, mango, and some other fruit scents in wax can go artificial and sickly. This one is perfect. It's a very fresh with a  predominant nectarine note blended out with some light floral. This is definitely a feminine scent, but it's not a teen bubblegum scent nor is it an old lady powdery frilly scent. It's just a straight up nice fruit with floral blend. The word I'd use to best describe this scent is lovely.
Scent Throw: 4.5/5
Where To Buy: Candles by Victoria

ScentSationals Porch Swing Breeze
Scent Description: A calming scent of grass blowing in the wind with a hint of floral.
My Thoughts: The scent description on this is perfect. This is a perfect three way blend of fresh air, green grass, and floral. It's really the perfect spring day scent. I love this scent except that I could barely smell it when melting. This had a very weak throw which was so disappointing considering how much I like the scent.
Scent Throw: 1/5
Where To Buy: ScentSationals

Ten Digit Creations Cherry Almond
Scent Description: aroma of nutty almond and sweet ripe cherries
My Thoughts: No, this isn't a typical scent category for me, but I love this scent for nostalgic reasons. This smells just like the Jergens original lotion and hand wash scent. I remember they always used the Jergens hand wash on airplanes. When I was little and bored on the airplane, I basically went to the bathroom just so I could wash my hands and smell the soap. I loved the scent so much. It actually wasn't until years later I learned that the scent was cherry almond and it was Jergens. Despite this scent having foodie ingredients, it's actually a very clean and fresh scent. It's a perfect 50/50 on cherry and almond. I love this scent and brings back old travel memories!
Scent Throw: 4.5/5

Noodles Nail Polish Beach Baby

I have another Noodles polish to share with you today. I'm sure by now you've come to realize I'm a fan of Noodles! I love discovering indie brands I really like and stick to. When Noodles released their recent winter collection, I decided to look back and try some polishes from previous collections. I came across this summer-themed polish that I knew I wanted to try.

Beach Baby
Beach Baby is a nude crelly base mixed with neon glitters.

Collection: Noodles Nail Polish Summer 2015

Color: What a great crelly! I LOVE the use of a nude crelly as the base here. I must admit white crellies tend to look very stark against my skin, and while I love them, they don't always love me. This nude crelly though is where it's at! It is so much more forgiving and I love how with the beach theme it emulates the color of sand. Its perfect for this color. The neon glitters in this are so fun and perfect match to this crelly base.

Formula: The formula on this was alright. I used 3 coats above. The glitters apply easily, but they do have tendency to stick to one another which can lead to some uneven application. This wasn't a deal breaker at all, but it does require some extra care.

Price: This is $8.50 on Noodles Nail Polish's etsy site.

Overall: This is an awesome polish and so perfect for summer. I love this crelly base and the whole theme and idea of this polish. It's so fun and I love those colorful glitters. The glitters in the formula do take some extra care, but it doesn't detract from my love of this polish.

Fresh Paint Sophia

One of the new additions to Orlando lately has been Five Below. My only wish is that we had it a bit sooner when in store nail polish was a bit cooler than it is now. I don't always find the most exciting nail polish at Five Below these days, but every once in awhile I come across a gem. I found this Fresh Paint gem recently in a shopping trip and it is well worth the purchase.

Sophia
Sophia is a bright red-toned grape purple creme.

Color: I tried messing with my camera settings and color on my photo program, but I couldn't really fix it. This is slightly more red-toned than it is showing up it is also more saturated. The camera washed out the color a bit. That being said, this color is hot and amazing! It's truly a bright purple creme unlike many I've seen.

Formula: The formula on this is alright. I used 3 coats above. It does have some unevenness on the first 2 coats, but it all evens out nicely by the 3rd coat.

Price: Fresh Paint polishes are 3 for $5 at Five Below. I've never bought them individually because 3 polishes for $5 is a steal.

Overall: This is a stunning and fun bright purple creme. I love the uniqueness of this color and it's perfect creme quality. I know many bright purples like this have weird jelly-like formulas or strange consistencies. This is a true creme. This is a great polish!
