OPI Tiramisu For Two

I have been going through a major nude polish phase. I think it started in mid-July and it has continued for the past month and a half. The thing is I don't have a lot of nude polishes. One, I've never really worn them often. Two, I always thought it was difficult to find nudes that work with my skin tone. Well, I was wrong. I went to Ulta recently and looked at OPI's core line of colors and found a handful of nudes that I think really work with my skin tone. This one I was most shocked by because it really is a true nude for my skin tone versus a pinky nude which I'm used to having to get.

Tiramisu for Two
Tiramisu For Two is a beige almond creme.

Collection: OPI Venice Fall 2015

Color: I would have never assumed I could have worn this color. It's really the perfect nude for my skin tone. It's actually pretty neutral in my opinion. It's not too yellow or pink, it's right in between. I am so in love with this shade. It's so clean, fresh, and flattering.

Formula: This had a pretty good formula. It was a teeny bit thick, but it is opaque. I used 2 coats in this swatch.

Price: I paid $10 for this Ulta.

Overall: I've been into nail polish for 8 years now, and it took until now to find a true nude for my skin tone. I'm really excited to have found this shade. This is a great color and I'd imagine since it is pretty neutral it would be pretty forgiving for most people. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Weekly Wax Wrap Up: 8/28/16-9/4/16

We've made it to September! That means I'm not going to feel so ashamed if I go full force into autumn everything. We still have a few weeks left of summer, but September has always been fall month for me regardless if it's still blazing hot out and sticky humid. I like to pretend it's fall. This was a fairly good week in wax for me.
Ten Digit Creations Autumn Sage
Scent Description: sage drying outside with freshly fallen leaves
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this scent. It is a nice blend of herbal sage with a fresh outdoorsy airy note. This is a nice transitional scent as in it doesn't scream fall, but it definitely eases you into it. This is a scent you could really melt year round, but it does have some hints of fall into it so it's perfect for September. My only complaint is the throw isn't quite as strong as I would have liked.
Scent Throw: 3/5
Where To Buy: Ten Digit Creations

Lake Providence Lodge The Cabin
Scent Description: A wonderful scent of cozy and warm spices including allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Like Fall at the Lodge curled up under a quilt by the stone fireplace.
My Thoughts: This is an apples and cinnamon type scent to me, but a little more upscale. I can't stand Glade Apple Cinnamon because it's generic and artificial smelling. This one smells natural and is pleasant. I can't say this is the most inventive scent, but it's probably the best apple cinnamon scent I've come across.
Scent Throw: 4.5/5
Where To Buy: Lake Providence Lodge

ScentSationals Cactus Blossom
Scent Descriptions: Freshly picked eucalyptus leaf intermingles with ozone-infused citrus, sea salted herbs and hints of wild apple wrapped in sparkling marine greens and the warmth of mossy woods.
My Thoughts: This is a very water based scent. What I get from this scent is like a mix of sweet water, aloe, and a hint of masculine cologne type thing going on. I don't hate it, but I don't really like it much either. There is something artificial about it that I couldn't ignore when melting it.
Scent Throw: 4/5
Where To Buy: ScentSationals

Lake Providence Lodge Hot Bath
Scent Description: This is a clean and very feminine scent. We blended our Lovely Grace with a sweet, fresh powdery scent to create a scent that smells as inviting as a nice, hot bath.
My Thoughts: This was my favorite melt of the week. It smells just like a bubble bath. It's a very soft subtle feminine scent with this clean powdery note blended within. You know how your skin smells after a hot bath or shower? This is that smell. It's the perfect cozy and clean scent.
Scent Throw: 3.5/5
Where To Buy: Lake Providence Lodge

To kick off the first post we will do a Fall Tag!

1. What is your favorite thing about fall?

My favorite thing is decorating and fall scents.

2. Do you get fall colors where you live?

Not a chance here in Florida! I wish we did. I'd love to have seasons.

3. Favorite fall scent (wax, or anything)?

I can't narrow it down to one. I tire of the same scents so I always have to switch it up. My favorite types of fall scents are outdoorsy and pumpkin scents.

4. Favorite fall food or drink?

Pumpkin Spiced Latte, not from Starbucks though. I can make my own at home!

5. Football.....yay or nay?

Big nay. I really dislike football. It's probably because I was in marching band and had to go to every football game in high school. I'm not much of a sports person.

6. Do you rake, jump in, or burn piles of leaves?

No, we don't have leaves to rake, jump in, or burn here. If we did I'd like to jump in them and step on them so they crunch!

7. Haunted house or corn maze?

I've never been in either, but I'd go with corn maze, because I'd probably cry and wet my pants in a Haunted House.

8. Have you ever gone on a hayride?

I think I did when I was younger at a fall festival for school.

9. Cider or hot chocolate?

I actually like them both. It depends on my mood. Right now, I'm into cider. They had this Apple Cider Tea at World Market that I tried and loved, but they were out :(!

10. Carve a pumpkin or eat pumpkin pie?

Eat pumpkin pie. Eating trumps carving. Duh!

11. Do you dress up for Halloween?

Not usually anymore. I may throw some cat ears on or something. I know that's lame.

12. Candy corn.....yay or nay?

Nay, yuck!

13. Favorite Halloween movie?

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

14. Scariest movie?

I don't really watch scary movies.

15. Halloween or Thanksgiving?

This is impossible to choose. I really love both for different reasons. Halloween I love decorating for the most. Thanksgiving I love for the food obviously.

16. Do you watch the Macy's parade?

Yes. Every year!

17. Apple pie or pumpkin pie?

Pumpkin pie.

18. White or dark meat?

I like either, but if someone dries out the turkey the white meat can be like sandpaper. It depends on who is cooking it.

19. Jellied or real cranberry sauce?

Give me the canned jellied stuff!

20. Will you host or travel for Thanksgiving this year?

I really don't know my Thanksgiving plans yet.

How about you? Join us by giving some of your fall tag answers! Next post we will feature our fall melting stash.

Happy Saturday!

NYX Deep Grape

How is it already September? It will be Christmas before we know it. Time flies the older you get and I'm not sure I like that very much. Since it's September now let's start out with a vampy color. I purchased this one from newest NYX Cosmetics store in Orlando. I think I'm going to have to go back there and pick up some more of their polishes because I really like the colors I have so far.

Deep Grape
Deep Grape is a deep burgundy creme.

Collection: Core

Color: You can't go wrong with colors like this. This fall I'm really into either soft nude colors or deep vampy colors, no in between. This is a rich and deep red-violet that looks really chic and sophisticated on the nail.

Formula: This had a pretty good formula. Colors like this are not very forgiving if you get outside the lines as you can see on my pinky. That's to be expected though with colors like these. The formula was smooth, but I did need 3 coats for opacity.

Price: This was $5 at the NYX store, but it can be purchased for the same price on their online store.

Overall: This is a great all-around vampy color. It's not really unique I know, but it's a solid nail polish staple color. I love the richness of this shade and how elegant it looks on the nails.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Friday!
