Sinful Colors Green Ocean

This is a color I won in a giveaway by Ice Queen's Nail Parlour awhile back. This is one of those Sinfuls I always wanted, but could never find. I was so excited to get this one because it was a flakie!!!

Green Ocean (layered over black over first two fingers & layered of Milani Fresh Teal on the other two)
Green Ocean is a blue/green iridescent flakie in a clear base.

This is a beautiful flakie. I love the cooler tone of the flakes. It looks like fish scales. I think this looks best layered over black. If you can't find this one in stores I know you can find it over at Cherry Culture. I noticed they also have other flakie colors on there that have "Ocean" in their name. I'm considering getting the rest of these, because I love flakies!

Happy Monday!

Zoya Gigi

This has been an off week for me. A lot of stuff has gone on and I don't feel settled? I feel like I'm going through the motions, but I'm not really present. Does that make sense? I'm ready for a new week!! Now on to polish!  I've said this a few times, but as much as I love bright and bold colors, sometimes it's nice to have something simple and subdued. This is a great Zoya color I think does that job.

Gigi (it's probably best to enlarge these)

Gigi is a soft nude pink with little flecks of silver glitter.

If I'm going to do subdued, I'm going to do this way. I love these softer shades that just have the slightest hint of bling or pizazz added to them. I also love the look of these softer shades. I think even though bright and bold colors look great, these types of colors gives a nice clean and fresh look to your nails and hands.

Happy Saturday!

OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous

I'm noticing that I need to start basing some of my polishes choices on how I see them in person. I usually heavily rely on what I buy based on swatches I see online. This is probably 85%-90% effective, which isn't shabby at all. However, I sometimes find myself falling in love with colors I "poo-pooed" online when I saw them in person. This was this case with this next OPI color. That being said, I'm sure my pictures won't do it justice,  but I try!

Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous
Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous has a Lucerne-tainly long name. This is a beautiful smokey/steely gray foil.

This is not a typical color I'd go for, but I quickly fell in love. I've actually been wearing this color as pedicure. I've done this as my pedicure about 4 times this past fall and during this winter. I love it that much. I love the depth of color and the finish. I also love that it's a neutral. It's pretty common to wear open-toed shoes in winter in Florida since for the most part it stays fairly warm. This color goes with any shoe I wear, which I like.

Happy Thursday!

Stylish Blogger Award & Reminder!

Today I have tag for you. I was tagged for the Stylish Blogger Award by Dori over at Kiss My Acetone Could there a be more clever blog name? Thank you, Dori!

This award come with rules & they are as follows:

1. Thank and link the person who gave you the award
2. Share 7 things about yourself
3. Award 15 recently discovered bloggers
4. Contact these bloggers to tell them about the award

Here are my 7 things:

1. I'm left handed. You can always tell if I've used pen because it's all smudged on the side of my left hand.

2. I've started to have this fragrance addiction, but I only have a handful of perfumes. I do have a ton of body sprays and lotions. I'd like to keep my fragrance addiction to a minimum because perfume is way too expensive for me!

3. I'm a worrier. I worry about a lot of irrational things a lot of the time. I think it's because I was hurt a lot emotionally by people growing up. I sometimes feel as if I'm protecting myself by preparing myself for the worst? It's not a healthy habit, and it prevents me from enjoying a lot of life. I am working on it though.

4. I'm an abstract and critical thinker. I love to learn about history, art, philosophy, and other humanities like subject areas. I find it fascinating how through different ideas and events we've evolved as a civilization. Our abilities, advancement, and thirst for knowledge will always continue to inspire me.

5. I love the show The Golden Girls. I have seen probably every episode at least 10+ times and it never gets old. It's my nightly ritual to watch an episode before I go to bed. It is the cure for sickness, sadness, and worry. It always cheers me up and makes me laugh.

6. Authenticity is very important to me. I really have no respect for disingenuous people. This goes a long with number 3. I've dealt with a lot of fake people in my life, and I can easily see through that behavior now. I should probably learn to be more accepting because some people do not know any better.

7. I have an embarrassing addiction to reality television. I love shows like Real Housewives, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Top Model, Top Chef, Tabatha's Salon Takeover, Hoarders, Bad Girls Club, Amazing Race, Project Runway, Jerseylicious, Teen Mom & etc. I guess it's safe to say I'm addicted to television. I don't watch them when they air though. I record them and watch them when I have time. I do like other shows too like Star Trek, Doctor Who, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld..maybe I should stop. :P

China Glaze Atlantis

Hey everyone! I started back up at school yesterday, and I can already tell this semester is going to be a lot of work. I'm probably not going to be able to do daily posts all the time, but I will get a couple in each week. This China Glaze color came out with a ton of other specialty glitters back in Fall 2009. I regretfully didn't pick up Atlantis when it came out, but I was lucky to find it at Sally's a few weeks ago.

Atlantis
Atlantis is a medium teal jelly with holographic glitter.

This was about 3 fast coats, which probably means if I allowed it dry more it would be less sheer. I think this one builds up nicely or would look nice layered. I'm a sucker for blue-green colors, so I love this one. My only issue is personally these glitters do not wear on me well. These chip on my quickly, but sometimes you have to sacrifice something for a great shade!

Happy Tuesday!
