Today is the last day to enter my giveaway!
I'm so glad a-england had their free shipping promo a little awhile ago because I really had a great opportunity to try an amazing brand. I mentioned this before, but Adina the founder is so kind. She is also truly passionate about her product. These are things I love about a company, and to top it off her polishes are spectacular.
As nail blogger, or as just a nail polish addict in general it's amazing how far those extra nice touches in a brand. When we purchase mainstream brands, we may get a great product, but it's not always followed with great service. That's not to say we get bad service, but obviously you're not going to get the personal touches from OPI or China Glaze that a smaller brand can offer you. These extra touches really make you feel special as consumer, and make you want to go back for more!
Without further ado..here is Lady of the Lake!
Lady of the Lake
Lady of the Lake is deep purple with scattered holo.
What I love about this besides that it's holographic, is the richness of the base color. I dislike how we see with more recent holos that the holo pigment totally engulfs and dulls out the base color. The purple in this is rich and deep. The holo in this is just complimenting this perfectly. It really is the perfect balance. You really can't go wrong with a color like this. I must say along with the blue holo Tristam, Lady of the Lake is definitely must have.
You can find a-england polishes on their website. They retail for £9.00 which equates to around $14.36. These are totally worth the price, even without free shipping. I know for many of us it would be special everyone-once-in-awhile purchase, but it's one I don't think you'd regret!
Happy Friday!

Sinful Colors Paradise
This is late in the day. I'm sorry! The cable company was out here most of the day repairing stuff, so I was unable to get online. This has been an off week for me blogging wise! I'm sorry about that. :(
I have a Sinful Colors polish today that I picked up awhile back. I usually love Sinful Colors, but lately something with either their formula or brush has changed for me. I don't find that these are applying very evenly at all lately, and it's more so apparent in photos than anything. I don't really notice until AFTER I've swatched.
Paradise
Paradise is a bright sky blue creme.
The thing I like best about this color is it's not a pastel. I have nothing against pastels, but I think sometimes it's hard to find a sky blue or a light blue that isn't so pale that it's considered pastel? Does that make sense? I don't know if I'm making sense sometimes! It's vibrant and has the perfect punch of color. What I don't like about this is the formulation. I feel since they've put the "SC" back on the bottle caps on these the formula is different. It applies streaky and patchy. I'm not a fan of it, but perhaps I just need to adjust how I apply these in the future. Perhaps applying these thinly and wait a few minutes between coats would be best?

Zoya Erika
Reminder: You have 3 more days to enter my giveaway!
Sorry, for my short little absence, but we're back on track now. Today, I have for you a Zoya I picked up in their last promo. This is one I saw on Scrangie for awhile, and kept putting off getting. It's difficult to look at Scrangie's swatches because she makes everything look like a million bucks! Her swatches are amazing! I have to look at her swatches sparingly or else I'd be completely broke! Anyways, I caved and ended up getting this color, and I wasn't disappointed.
Erika
Erika is a soft pale pink with golden shimmer.
My first worry when I got this was it was going to be completely sheer. I really love pale and softer pinks, but they always end up taking 5+ coats to get opaque. This was not the case at all. This was opaque in 3 coats. It's really a beautiful polish. I sometimes crave these softer looks, and I think they definitely give you a very classy and fresh look.
Speaking of Zoya did you see their upcoming winter collection? I saw it on All Lacquered Up. Thoughts? I'm not impressed, and I usually at least want 2-3 things from Zoya collections. I don't like how it's just 3 colors with matching glitters. I'm not much into layering anymore, so I know I wouldn't use them that much. It's bittersweet really because with some of the other upcoming winter collections I definitely will be spending my far share!

15 Weird Facts About Me:
What's a nickname only your family calls you?
My parents call me "Kitten Cat". I have no idea where that came from, but that's what they call me. They'll call me that in public too....very embarrassing.
What's a weird habit of yours?
I'm always scared I'll lose something or forget something. So, I tend to make sure the door is locked 2-3 times. I always am checking my purse to make sure my phone or wallet isn't gone. What's weird is I've never had anything bad happen. I'm just a worry wart.
Do you have any weird phobias?
Yes, vomiting. It freaks me out, especially the thought of vomiting in public. I know very weird. Also, medical settings freak me out. I'm not afraid of blood or needles, but doctors, hospitals, dentists always make me anxious.
What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
More like songs.... I like to belt out songs from musicals like Sound of Music, Funny Girl, Phantom of the Opera, and Evita. I of course love to belt out Disney songs as well.
What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
Rude/entitled/superficial/fake people, people who don't return their shopping carts to the designated areas, and out of control children.
What's one of your nervous habits?
I shake my leg. It's hard to describe like I bounce my leg up and down really fast. Does that make sense?
What side of the bed do you sleep on?
The left side, well the left side when I'm laying in it.
What was your first stuffed animal and its name?
My first stuffed animal was Alexander, a brown floppy dog. I still have him! He's actually still in good shape, but he's had to be sown up a few times. Here is a pic
What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
I really don't got to Starbucks often. I may go 5 times a year tops. I do usually get an iced skinny vanilla latte. I can just make that home though for cheaper. :-/
What's the beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
I don't think I have preach any beauty rules......?
Which way do you face in the shower?
I face away from the shower head.
Do you have any weird body skills?
No....
What's your favorite comfort food thats 'bad', but you love to eat it anyways?
BBQ ribs. I love BBQ spare ribs slathered in sweet sticky sauce served with cole slaw! I'm sorry vegetarians, that was rather descriptive.
What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
I don't know.....:-/
Time to sleep - what are you actually wearing?
An old over sized t-shirt with some ridiculous pajama pants with some sort of cute penguins, puppies, kitties, kangaroos, dolphins, bunnies, or etc on them.
Happy Sunday!
